After the Great Dao Died

The Great Dao is dead.

Yet its body did not disappear. It became heaven and earth, giving birth to countless worlds within the folds of its slowly rotting flesh.

The farther a person leaves the mortal realm behind, the closer they draw to the source of power, and the more clearly they can smell the decay.

The weak die without ever understanding. The strong discover a truth far more terrifying than death: all their techniques, treasures, and schemes spanning thousands of years merely turn them into fatter maggots feeding on the corpse of the long-dead Great Dao.
