Chapter 229: 229. Opening up to Seraphine – 4
“Are you telling me that you are alright about me marrying other women!!??” William asked with a flustered expression on his face.
His voice rose slightly in disbelief, his brows furrowed as he searched her face for any hint of teasing or hidden resentment. His grip on her shoulders tightened.
Seraphine looked at him with tight brows. “Yeah, I think that’s not uncommon.” Sera spoke as she hugged him, “Also, it will be easier for me to handle you.”
Her tone was casual, almost too casual, but the way she leaned into him revealed a quiet confidence like she had already thought through this far more than he had.
“Am I difficult to handle right now??” William asked with a visible frown. His pride took a small hit as he tilted his head, genuinely puzzled.
Sera just chuckled and looked at him with a gaze that only deepened his curiosity. There was something playful, something knowing in her eyes that made his heart beat a little faster.
Shaking his head, William could only sigh.
“Let’s go out; I have something to tell you,” he said.
His tone turned more serious; the earlier confusion was now replaced with a resolve.
“Oh,” Sera got curious about what he wanted to tell her; she followed his lead as William held her hands. Their fingers intertwined naturally, as if it were something they had done countless times before.
He brought her out and made her sit on the stairs of the hut.
The wooden steps were slightly warm from the sunlight, and a soft breeze carried the scent of the surrounding greenery.
William stood in front of Seraphine and caressed her cheeks and hair like he was trying to memorize every detail of her.
“Sera, I don’t know how this sounds, but since you say that you are open about me marrying another woman, there is someone I want you to know about.”
Sera gasped, “Damn you, scoundrel!! Was Lia not enough!! You already have another woman in your sights.” Her reaction was exaggerated, but there was a faint sharpness hidden beneath her tone.
William rubbed his temples, hearing her. “Sera, I am serious; I don’t love Lia.”
Sera just chuckled.
“I know, I am just messing with you!!” Her laughter lightened the mood instantly.
William gave her a look.
“Are you really sure about me taking in other women, or are you just testing me?? Well, I am already about to fail your test,” he sighed.
There was a hint of vulnerability in his voice now. Sera looked at William with a pursed smile; she did not say anything and just looked at him, all restless and flustered.
She saw him getting on his knees in front of her and matched their eye level. He then clasped her hands, to her amusement.
The gesture was unexpectedly sincere.
“Sera, you will always remain my first love, and I will love you forever; even death won’t do us apart,” he said and reiterated again.
Sera chuckled. “Tsk, who is this woman that is making you so restless, Willy? You know I am getting a bit jealous now.”
William shook her head. “No, it’s not about that woman right now; it’s about us. I want to make sure that you never forget what I am saying. I love you and will love you forever,” William said.
This time his tone was steadier and firm; he even came forward and planted kisses all over Sera’s face.
Each touch was filled with warmth and urgency, as if he were trying to express everything words couldn’t carry.
“Uff!! If you only do that every hour, I will be satisfied,” Sera muttered as she felt his kisses on her neck.
Her voice softened; her earlier teasing was now turning into something more affectionate. She then held her face and brought it up.
“It’s alright; I can take it. No need to go out of your way and try to make me happy; I was never sad to begin with,” Sera reassured William again.
Her gaze steadied him. William nodded and came to sit behind her, taking her in her arms.
He rubbed her hands and started telling her about Tamasya.
He told her about the first time he met Tamsya, how she became his master, and how her heart broke when he had told Tamsya about them and their first kiss.
“So you couldn’t keep our kiss a secret, huh?” Sera looked at William with squinted eyes.
A teasing glint returned to her expression.
“Are you mad??” he asked with a light expression; he was feeling a burden come off his shoulder now that he had told Sera about Tamasya.
“I am not mad, actually. I am a bit happy that you told her about me beforehand so it won’t be difficult when I claim the first wife spot, hmph!!” Sera spoke lightly.
William held her cheeks and pulled them a bit, making her yelp
“Arhhh!!” she moaned in surprise, making William chuckle.
“Willy, you are getting bolder and bolder!!” Sera stood up and turned to look at him with a pout, her hands crossed together, and her face showed an artificial angry expression that William knew was just there to mess with him.
William couldn’t help but pull her closer and hug her waist; he rested his head on her and whispered, “Thank you!!!”
Sera looked down at him; she caressed his head lightly and smiled subtly. The warmth between them deepened at this point.
“So when will I meet my junior sister?” Sera asked.
William, who was resting his head on her waist, lost his smile. “I haven’t proposed to her,” he said.
“Oh!!” Sera ruffled his blue hair and played with his locks. “I think you should do it sooner than later; don’t make her wait.”
“Really??”
“Yes,” Sera spoke while her gaze remained fixed on him.
“Ugh!! You don’t know what you have done for me, Sera!!” William exclaimed and suddenly stood up. His earlier tension completely replaced by excitement.
He picked Sera up in the air from her waist down.
“Oh, oii!! Stop, William!!”
He did not listen; he just swung her in circles lightly.
“Hahaha!!” Sera giggled as she felt what he was doing; her hair fluttered with the wind.
And before both of them knew it, William just lost his balance and fell to the ground with Sera.
Both of them looked at each other and giggled. A wave of nostalgia washed over them.
William often used to swing her this way when he used to meet her in Riverdale.
With time they had forgotten the innocence they once shared. But now, after the acceptance Sera had shown for William, he could not help but fall in love with her even more.
On the ground, William rolled towards the Sera and came above her, his hands locked firmly, pinning her hands on the ground. Sera blushed and her hands clasped together as she realized she had no way of escape.
William locked his eyes on hers. The world around them seemed to fade for a moment.
Sera gulped with hesitation; her mind was churning whether she should let William or not.
Without waiting, William plunged; he kissed her cheeks, her neck, and her forehead before going for her soft lips.
The moment was intense yet filled with affection rather than urgency.
Sera’s breath became heavy. “Will…mphh!” She was about to say something, but words did not come from her mouth.
William kept the intense kisses and smoches on, making Sera react softly. His hands now held the sides of her neck as he buried his face near her shoulder.
Before long, the moment deepened; William moved down her neck just as he reached a bit lower than her nape.
Boom!!!
An explosive slam hit William’s chest out of nowhere. The sudden impact shattered the atmosphere instantly.
“William!!” Sera gasped shockingly as she saw William being thrown a few meters away like a rag doll.
Her eyes widened in shock, and she clasped her mouth. Her gaze landed on her nape, where ancient marks pulsed with faint green energy.
The marks glowed, reacting violently as if protecting something sacred.
She covered her loosened robes before running toward William, who was stunned by the impact.
Sera regretted not having self-control. The immense pleasure she had been feeling blinded her from reality; she had forgotten to tell William about her physique.
