Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Divine Brick and Divine Tree.
Li Feng tried to think of a way out with his slightly tipsy mind.
The intoxication he was intentionally letting flow through his body from just a single sip of rank 2 spiritual wine had already made him a bit dizzy.
He couldn’t even begin to imagine how much the world must be spinning for Shui Ruo right now.
“Damn… I didn’t think a spiritual wine could be this intoxicating.”
Li Feng clicked his tongue, his thoughts shifting as he reevaluated this newfound talent.
Brewing spiritual wine might take time but with his mastery over formations and the unique advantages of the Divine Brick space, the process was far less troublesome than conventional method.
In fact… it might even be easier.
“…I should have Wei Meilin sell it.”
A faint smirk tugged at his lips.
In an instant, several profit-making schemes had already begun forming in his mind.
And with Wei Meilin’s shrewd talent, he was confident that getting rich would be effortless.
Just the thought of lazing around while spirit stones piled up made a satisfied smile creep onto his lips.
…Of course, he wouldn’t mind helping his hardworking apostle “relax” from time to time.
His grin slowly turned a little lewd as certain… vivid images surfaced in his mind…. those graceful curves and sinful body.
Just as his thoughts began drifting somewhere increasingly shameless in broad daylight…
A gentle poke suddenly pulled his attention away.
“Hmm?”
He turned around and saw Little Ling’s branch swaying, clearly trying to get his notice.
Li Feng let out an awkward laugh as he finally remembered that… a child had been watching the entire time.
“Ahem. What do you need, Little Ling?” he asked, pretending to act normal.
Inside, however, he was frantically wondering how to explain this to the divine tree if Little Ling ask him that…
’Should I say we were just… wrestling?’
Li Feng nearly winced at his own excuse.
He assumed Little Ling might be curious or confused so it want to ask, but to his surprise, Little Ling seemed to convey that it could help instead.
“Oh… you mean you can help me dig us out faster?” Li Feng blinked, staring at the gently swaying branch.
Only then did he remember that Little Ling wasn’t an ordinary tree… it was a divine tree.
He still vividly recalled the countless thick and powerful vines waving through the air when Mo Shuyan had controlled the former divine tree.
Little Ling’s branch waved as if nodding in agreement, then began to explain.
After listening for a moment through their connection, Li Feng finally nodded in understanding.
Apparently, the Divine Brick and the Divine Tree shared a special, mutual connection.
Little Ling had already asked the Divine Brick and learned that they were currently buried deep underground.
Little Ling could extend some of it branches out from the Divine Brick to help with the digging.
After listening to those convey intention through their connection, Li Feng gave Little Ling a strange look.
It seemed the Divine Brick and Little Ling had already become quite close friends.
“I see. Then let’s try it now,” he said with a smile.
He didn’t mind accepting Little Ling help at all.
With his daily favor points steadily decreasing, getting out of here sooner was definitely better.
Of course, he still planned to “farm” as many favor points as possible.
Once he escaped, he intended to lurk around Yue Lan from a distance for a while.
If the opportunity arose, he would make a grand, tear-jerking entrance to squeeze out another big burst of favor points.
Without realizing it, Li Feng’s face turned a little red as he smiled strangely again at the thought of getting even more rich in favor points.
Little Ling, already used to his antics, didn’t seem to mind his weird smile at all.
It quickly connected with the Divine Brick and requested it to open a small portal.
The Divine Brick hummed softly in agreement.
With a soft creak, one of Little Ling’s smaller branches extended into the air.
It touched an invisible ripple and gradually disappeared into it.
Outside the Divine Brick, thick vines gradually wrapped around its surface as it began to part the earth above with surprising ease, moving through the soil like a fish gliding through water.
The digging speed, which had previously been painfully slow, increased exponentially the moment Little Ling’s branch joined in.
Li Feng snapped out of his daydream when he sensed the sudden change.
He couldn’t help but reach out and gently pat the branch in front of him, praising Little Ling with a bright laugh.
“Haha, you’re the best, Little Ling!”
“~”
He had heard somewhere that children should be praised when they did something well.
It helped build confidence and encouraged growth… or something like that.
Li Feng wasn’t entirely sure about the details.
But judging by how Little Ling’s branches were now swaying more energetically, almost smugly.
It seemed to be working.
’Hmm… so this actually works?’ He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Then again, Little Ling wasn’t exactly human.
It was a divine tree.
So technically…was he raising a child… or just gardening?
Li Feng’s expression turned a little strange at that thought.
’Do I need to water Little Ling too? And maybe add some fertilizer?’
Just as he was lost in his strange musings, Little Ling’s branch gently wrapped around his hand, demanding his attention.
“Oh? What’s wrong?” he asked curiously, sensing that Little Ling was trying to tell him something through their connection.
Then, his eyes brightened as a soft voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
’I… I…’
Li Feng almost jumped in pleasant surprise.
This was the first time he had ever heard Little Ling speak.
Her voice was soft, beautiful, and youthful… like that of a little girl.
He felt a surge of emotion, almost shedding a tear as if he were watching his own child grow up right before his eyes.
….Even though he had barely done anything, and she had mostly grown on her own inside the Divine Brick.
He gently grasped the branch and encouraged her warmly.
“Come on… go on!”
’I… I… want…’
Li Feng’s smile widened as he waited patiently for her to finish.
But then his smile froze.
’I want to play that shaking game too!!’
An adorable shout echoed in his mind.

Meanwhile, outside…
While Li Feng was busy trying not to corrupt the divine tree…
Yue Lan, Goldie, and the rest of the group were traveling back through the forest toward their camp.
Suddenly, everyone halted their steps as Goldie abruptly stopped moving.
Liu Yanyue turned to look at the black-cloaked puppet, which was silently gazing into the distance off to the side.
“Hmm? What’s wrong?” she asked, but received no reply.
Yue Lan also looked curious.
She walked over to Goldie, who turned its head toward her in silence.
“…”
“…I see.”
Yue Lan nodded and turned to face the group.
“Goldie wants to check out that direction. It seems to have discovered something.”
The group stared at Yue Lan strangely.
It was bizarre how she could understand the puppet’s intentions without it uttering a single word.
Shen Jia couldn’t help but ask, “How do you… understand what it wants to say?”
Yue Lan tilted her head and answered as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
“I just do?”
Seeing that trying to understand would only cause more confusion, Liu Yanyue sighed and stepped forward.
“Never mind then. Since it found something, why don’t we let it go?”
Yue Lan turned to look at Goldie once more before nodding.
“Goldie says it needs to protect me, so I have to go with it to check that direction.”
She then looked at the rest of the group. “You can head back to the camp first. I’m also curious… apparently, it’s something that Li Feng needs.”
At the mention of Li Feng’s name, everyone’s curiosity was instantly piqued, especially Jian Ruyi.
“Well, we can all go together. I want to know what’s over there too,” Liu Yanyue said with a smile.
Yue Lan glanced at Goldie again and nodded.
“Goldie doesn’t mind, but it clearly stated that whatever is there belongs to its master.”
At that words, Liu Yanyue shook her head lightly.
She had no intention of stealing anything… especially not from this dangerous-looking puppet.
Besides, she still owed Li Feng a huge favor.
Going along was purely out of curiosity… and to make sure nothing happened to Yue Lan.
After all, she still didn’t fully trust this strange black-cloaked puppet yet.
“Do you all agree?” She turned to look at Shen Jia and Jian Ruyi.
They both nodded.
Seeing their agreement, Liu Yanyue smiled and looked back at Yue Lan.
“Let’s go then.”
Soon, the group changed direction, with Goldie now leading the way.

After several hours of travel, they finally arrived at a wide open clearing.
The moment they stepped into it, everyone’s eyes widened in astonishment.
What lay before them was a huge lake.
But not an ordinary one… as it was a completely frozen lake.
