Meanwhile, outside the City Lord’s guest room.
Captain Shan looked exhausted as he escorted the last guest out of the manor.
Just as he was walking back inside, a few of his subordinates approached him with wide grins.
“Captain! You look like you could really use a drink after tonight,” a burly guard laughed. “Come on, let’s go grab some booze. The night is still young, and we just finished a long shift. There’s a good tavern nearby that serves that strong Spirit Wine you like.”
Hearing this, Captain Shan let out a long, exhausted sigh and rubbed his temples.
“We can’t leave yet,” he said firmly. “The City Lord is still in a private meeting with Alchemist Li. It would be rude if we all disappeared before the guest leaves. You know how strict the City Lord is about etiquette.”
Hearing this, the burly subordinate scratched his head with a disappointed grin.
“But Captain… they’ve been in there for hours already. Maybe the meeting is going really well? Or… maybe they’re discussing some high-level alchemy technique?”
Another guard smirked. “High-level alchemy at this hour? In the private room alone together? Hehe… sure~”
Captain Shan shot him a sharp warning glare.
“Watch your mouth. Whatever they’re doing, it’s none of our business. And you all know the City Lord has zero interest in men… especially one weaker than her. We stay on duty until Alchemist Li leaves or the City Lord summons us.”
The subordinates exchanged glances but didn’t dare argue any further.
Just then, a guard came rushing over with an urgent expression.
“Captain Shan! The sect has sent a letter for the City Lord!”
Captain Shan took the sealed envelope from the messenger, his brows furrowing deeply as he examined the official sect seal.
“It seems the sect has finally responded,” he muttered. “Good work. Keep guarding the perimeter. I’ll deliver this to the City Lord personally.”
“”Yes, Captain!””
With that, Captain Shan moved quickly through the moonlit courtyard while the sealed letter clutched tightly in his hand.
However, his subordinate’s earlier teasing words kept resurfacing in his mind for some reason.
He shook his head firmly.
’Impossible… The City Lord is an extraordinary woman. One that is cold and devoted solely to the Dao. There’s no way she would involve herself with that flirtatious, perverted alchemist.’
Captain Shan already knew what kind of man Li Feng was.
…After all, they were quite similar in certain ways, which made him even more certain that the City Lord would despise such a personality.
’They must be discussing about the plague or some important alchemy method. That’s the only logical reason for such a long meeting.’
With that thought reinforcing his belief, Captain Shan arrived at the entrance of the inner private residence.
The two elite guards stationed there bowed immediately.
“”Captain!””
“Is the City Lord still inside with Alchemist Li?” Captain Shan asked.
“Yes, sir. They have not come out since entering.”
Captain Shan nodded and stepped inside.
He walked up the stairs until he reached the door of the guest room.
“City Lord!” he called out respectfully. “This subordinate has an urgent letter from the sect. It bears the Sect Leader’s personal seal. Should I bring it in?”
There was no answer.
At this, Captain Shan’s expression grew increasingly uneasy.
’No way… right?’
He muttered to himself, his heart beating faster.
The image his subordinate had jokingly suggested earlier now flashed through his mind… the proud City Lord and that shameless Alchemist Li…
Such an aloof, high and mighty woman whom everyone here could only admire from afar…
He shook his head violently.
’Impossible. The City Lord would never…’
Still, the prolonged silence made him anxious.
He stepped closer to the door and raised his voice once more.
“City Lord! Please forgive this subordinate’s rudeness, but the matter is truly urgent!”
Captain Shan didn’t know why, but his heart was now pounding… strangely fast.
Just as he was about to forcefully open the door—
Clack.
The door opened on its own.
Captain Shan froze the moment the door swung open.
Because Lan Suyao stood before him, looking exactly as she always did… cold, elegant, and dignified.
Her robes were perfectly arranged, her hair neatly tied in place and her expression still carried its familiar icy frost.
There was not a single trace of disorder on her.
“City Lord…” Captain Shan bowed deeply.
A wave of relief washed over his face, though… a faint trace of disappointment flickered in his heart for some reason.
“Forgive this subordinate for disturbing you. An urgent letter from the Sect Leader has arrived.”
He offered the sealed envelope with both hands.
Lan Suyao’s face remained expressionless as she accepted the letter.
“…I understand,” she replied calmly, her voice steady and cold as always. “You may leave. I will read it immediately.”
Captain Shan hesitated for a brief moment but he bowed again and turned to leave.
“Yes, City Lord.”
Just as he took a step away, he paused and asked with slight hesitation,
“City Lord… is Alchemist Li still inside? Do you need me to escort him out?”
Lan Suyao stood at the doorway with perfect composure.
Her voice remained cold and authoritative.
“Alchemist Li is currently refining some pills I requested for testing regarding the plague. There is no need for you to wait for him tonight. I will supervise the process personally.”
Captain Shan blinked, slightly surprised by this.
Seeing nothing is wrong, he bowed once more.
“Understood, City Lord. Then this subordinate will not disturb you any further. If anything urgent arises, please call for me immediately.”
Lan Suyao gave a small, indifferent nod.
“You may withdraw.”
As soon as Captain Shan turned and began walking down the corridor, the door closed softly behind him with a quiet click.

The moment the door shut.
Lan Suyao turned around calmly and walked back toward the inner bedroom.
Her steps remained steady and graceful, every movement carrying the usual elegance of the City Lord.
But the instant she pushed open the door to the small bedroom…
A wave of hot, thick, obscene air washed over her.
Plap…!
Plap…!
Plap…!
Smack!
“Haa…! Haaah…! Ahh—!!”
Inside, the scene was utterly depraved.
A completely naked gorgeous woman could be seen as she was bent over the sturdy wooden table, her upper body pressed flat against the surface.
Her massive breasts were squished outward, as her pink buds rubbing harshly against the wood with every violent thrust.
Her long, elegant legs were spread wide apart, her toes barely touching the floor as her alluring body rocked back and forth helplessly with every rough thrust.
Behind her, Li Feng stood with a lewd, satisfied grin plastered on his face.
One hand gripped a handful of her silky black hair like reins, while the other occasionally delivered a firm, loud smack to her plump, jiggling peach.
His thick, glistening length pistoned relentlessly into her overflowing cave, forcing thick white seed to splatter out messily with every deep thrust.
Suddenly, Li Feng who was lost in the overwhelming pleasure of her raw, mortal flesh gave a rough tug on her silky black hair.
“Haah…!”
The woman’s head was yanked back sharply, revealing her beautiful, flushed and tear stained face.
… And it was Lan Suyao.
