A Farmer's Journey To Immortality - Chapter 702: Obtaining Kalingoot Treasury P2

Capítulo 702: Obtaining Kalingoot Treasury P2
Crack.
Loken screamed as his bones shattered.
The hand pushed through his chest and closed around his heart. He tried to cast a spell. He tried to defend himself. But in the end, he failed to do anything useful.
The wooden fingers tightened. Then the hand pulled back.
It tore itself out of his body, dragging his still-beating heart with it. Blood sprayed into the air as Loken’s body trembled violently.
His eyes widened in disbelief. His mouth opened, but no sound came out.
The world around him began to fade as the woodland hand held his heart high, its vines pulsing with life, while Loken’s body started to fall forward—empty and broken.
At that moment, the tree not far from the battlefield suddenly shook.
Its trunk twisted as if it had turned soft. The bark rippled, and something moved inside it. In the next moment, a human figure stepped out of the tree.
It was Aksai.
His body peeled away from the trunk like a drop of water separating from a lake. The wood faded from his skin. His shape became clear. Only when he fully stepped out did his presence spread across the area.
Loken felt it at once.
His body trembled. He turned his head with great effort and stared at Aksai in shock.
“So… you never left…” Loken gasped, blood spilling from his mouth. “You… you knew where I was hiding? That… that means…”
His eyes shifted toward the elders of the Iron Mountain Sect. Understanding finally dawned on his face.
Aksai laughed softly.
“That’s right,” he said calmly. “The Iron Mountain Sect has been mine for a long time now. Did you really think elders from a well-known sect on the Dadangar Mainland would help you this much just because you promised them ten percent of the loot?”
Aksai shook his head and chuckled.
“Kekeke. I really like the way you think you are the hero of your own story—as if the world will bend itself to help you just because you want it to.”
Loken’s face twisted with despair. Before he could say anything else, another tree nearby shook. From its trunk, another figure stepped out.
It was the First Supreme of Kalingoot. He looked at Loken with pity, then turned toward Aksai and bowed deeply.
“My liege Aksai,” he said carefully, “can you spare him the same way you spared me? I don’t really care if he lives or dies, but the new Kalingoot would need at least two more Core Formation Lords to function properly.”
Aksai looked at him and shook his head.
“No.”
He raised his hand and waved it lightly. At once, the massive woodland monster hand moved.
First, it reached for Loken’s head. With a quick and clean motion, it plucked his head from his neck. Then, just as carefully, it opened the skull and took out the brain.
Next, the hand pierced into Loken’s stomach. A strange rune lit up on its surface. With that rune’s power, it pulled out Loken’s Dantian along with his borrowed Spirit Core.
Loken’s body went limp.
The woodland hand dragged the corpse into the ground. The earth closed over it, and everything disappeared as if it had never been there.
Only then did Aksai look at the First Supreme again.
“I spared you because you were willing to submit,” Aksai said calmly. “I know the new Kalingoot will need capable people to manage it. But I have no interest in raising snakes in my backyard.”
He paused and looked at the spot where Loken had vanished.
“Especially snakes that might one day bite my hand.”
At that point, Aksai felt through his blood connection that his snake pet was quite unhappy when she sensed his words. Aksai coughed and added further,
“No hard feelings toward snakes in general, though. I just have a problem with the deceiving and unfaithful kinds. I have no problem raising good snakes that are loyal to me in my backyard.”
The snake girl seemed to nod when she sensed Aksai’s genuine feelings toward her.
After getting rid of the Third Supreme effortlessly, Aksai did not speak right away. He shifted his eyes slightly.
That was all it took.
The elders of the Iron Mountain Sect felt it at once. Elder Jian straightened his back. Elder Lian and Elder Hao reacted just as quickly. With a single thought, they canceled the formation.
The lingering spirit lights vanished, and the woodland power faded from their bodies. Bark-like skin turned normal again. Vines pulled back into flesh. In just a few breaths, they looked like ordinary elders once more.
Together, they stepped forward.
All of them bowed deeply toward Aksai, their heads lowered, their hands clasped, and their postures respectful. None of them spoke. They waited.
Aksai finally opened his mouth.
“Good job,” he said in a calm voice.
The elders did not move. They listened carefully.
“Get rid of the bodies,” Aksai continued. “Clean the battlefield completely.”
He glanced around the ruined area, then looked toward the sea in the distance.
“Although the Alliance won’t return to this island,” he said, “we can’t say the same about the Green Glory Lord.”
The elders remained silent, but their expressions grew serious.
“Thaks to that arrogant pawn, the Second Supreme of Kalingoot is gone,” Aksai said evenly. “And the Third Supreme has been killed by me.”
His tone did not change, as if he were stating something simple.
“The deaths of these two, the ones who were supposed to steal the treasury, will eventually be discovered by the Green Glory Lord. When that happens, he will think about what really occurred here.”
Aksai paused for a moment.
“Even if he suspects that this was a diversion,” he went on, “that man is too strict and too bound by rules. Unless I give him a clear reason, he won’t dare demand that I share the loot with him.”
A faint smile appeared on Aksai’s face.
“And I don’t plan to give him any reason.”
Elder Jian bowed even deeper.
“We understand, my liege,” he said respectfully.
With that, the Iron Mountain Sect elders moved at once.
They spread out across the area with practiced ease. Some waved their hands and summoned earth to swallow broken bodies whole. Others burned remains with controlled flames, leaving no ash behind. Blood-soaked ground was peeled away and replaced with fresh soil. Cracks in the land were sealed. Residual Spirit traces were erased.
Every weapon, every broken artifact, every sign of struggle was dealt with carefully. By the time they were done, the area looked calm and empty, as if no battle had ever taken place there. Though, it still bore the marks of Kalingoot’s destruction at the hands of Alliance.
As his minions were doing the clean up job, Aksai was seen holding a gourd-like artifact. It looked simple at first glance, dull and old, with faint marks carved along its surface.
Yet Aksai could feel the dense space-element energy sealed inside it. This single item held everything Kalingoot had gathered over many years.
He stared at the gourd for a long moment.
“This thing caused quite a mess,” he muttered softly.
Aksai did not rush. He first spread his Spirit Sense around himself, checking the surroundings once more. When he was sure no one was watching, he reached into his storage ring and took out several Heretic Talismans.
“These should do,” Aksai said quietly.
He placed the gourd in the air before him and raised his hand. One by one, the Heretic Talismans flew forward and stuck to the surface of the gourd. The moment they touched it, the carved marks on the gourd lit up.
A low hum filled the air. The gourd began to shake as hidden restrictions reacted. Thin lines of light crawled over its surface, forming layers of seals. They tried to push back against the talismans.
Aksai’s eyes narrowed.
“Break.”
With a thought, he poured more Spirit energy into the talismans.
The dark lines on the Heretic Talismans flared. They dug into the glowing seals like sharp blades. One by one, the restrictions cracked. Soft snapping sounds echoed as the seals broke apart.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
The light on the gourd flickered, then died down. And the gourd fell silent. Aksai exhaled slowly.
“The restrictions are gone,” he said. Without wasting time, he sent his Spirit Sense into the gourd. In the next instant, his mind was flooded with a wondrous sight.
