A Journey That Changed The World. - Chapter 1586 - 1586: Now Let's Get To Bed

Archer chuckled at the twins’ words and shook his head. ”No. The harem sees any child of mine as theirs, so the babies have so many mothers that they never go without love,” he explained.
When Bella heard this, her smile grew wide. ”That’s lovely, most women on Earth would be jealous.”
”Yes they would,” Sahsa added, giggled. ”I know many of my friends wouldn’t share their boyfriend, especially not with their twin sister.”
”That’s because monogamy is ingrained in humans thanks to their religions and so on,” he revealed. ”But on Thrylos, harems are seen as normal, where most powerful people have to make sure their magic never dies.”
”Is that what you care about?” The blonde curiously questioned.
Archer looked at Belle with narrowed eyes. ”No, I couldn’t care for it. I’ll live for however long I want, but if all my women pass away, then I’d probably give up, but thanks to being me, they’ll live alongside me.”
”So they will never be alone?” Belle continued.
”Yes, that’s one part of it.”
Just then, Cece got involved. ”We accepted him because we could see he could love both of us.”
Belle looked fascinated before turning to him. ”Would you give me some time to think?”
”Of course.”
Following that, Sasha brought over some tea and handed him a cup. ”Taste this, babe, you’ll love it.”
Archer’s eyebrow rose, but he took the cup and sipped on the warm liquid. His eyes went wide as it was sweet, hot, and delicious. He looked at the young woman who was handing the others one. Sasha turned to him, giggling. ”It’s some from the UK, mother, or should I call her sister now?”
The young woman shrugged and continued. ”She visited for business and brought loads back, giving some to me.”
”Makes sense,” he said, nodding in agreement. ”I remember Isabella telling me she had to travel back there occasionally, doesn’t she work for the government?”
Cece shook her head. ”No, she was let go, but a private corporation swooped in, offering her double the money and better hours to join them. So she accepted, becoming a manager within six months,” she informed.
Archer was surprised but decided to speak to the older woman when he got back to the cabin, once he had spent some time with the twins to make things fair for his women. Afterward, the four of them continued talking late into the night until the women grew tired, making him smile at their expressions.
Belle was the first to yawn as she stretched, causing him to point out one of the rooms. ”You can stay there if you like, it saves you sleeping in the car,” he offered.
”Thank you, Arch,” she whispered, her eyes dropping.
Belle walked off just as the twins glanced at him. ”Spending the night with us, handsome?”
He stood up, stretched his arms, and answered. ”Yes, now let’s get to bed. That dragon ale was too much for my system.”
Archer led the way to the main room, the two young women trailing close behind. As he stepped inside, he shed his clothes and slid into bed, the cool sheets a welcome relief. Cece, naked and happy, slipped in beside him, while Sasha, still half-dressed, joined them with a shy smile.
They curled up close, their warmth blending with his, and soon they drifted into sleep, their soft murmurs fading into the quiet. Moments later, he fell asleep as well, enveloped in cozy comfort. Outside, the weather turned wild, a sudden storm whipping through the night, sending the twins’ friends scrambling to hunker down in their tents.
Wind shook the walls, forcing him to cast a shield over the campsite, keeping everyone warm. By the time Archer woke up the next morning, feeling refreshed, and got out of bed, trying not to wake up the twins. He stepped out of the room only to see Belle sitting on one of the sofas, drinking some coffee.
The blonde turned to him, a warm smile lighting up her face as she greeted him. ”Morning, Arch. How was your night?”
”Good thanks,” he replied, taking a seat next to her. ”It was warm, but it looks like the weather got even worse.”
Belle nodded. ”Yes, it started just after you went into the room. Colorado has shitty weather sometimes,” she answered.
Moments later, she got up and walked toward the kitchen to make him some tea. ”Stay there and let me make you a hot drink, you’ll love it.”
Following that, Archer watched as the young woman rushed off with a big smile on her face as she got busy. While sitting there, Aisha sent him a message using the tattoos. ‘Husband, I’ve issued an empire wide alert to a bad storm hitting Thrylos. If needed, could you return to protect the island?’
‘Yes, just keep me posted and I’ll return if it gets worse,’ he instantly replied, growing concerned.
Just then, the young woman reappeared, cradling a steaming mug of tea, her eyes bright with anticipation as she offered it to him. ”Thank you,” Archer said warmly, accepting the cup and bringing it to his lips.
He took a cautious sip, his eyes widening in surprise at the bold, rich flavor, strong yet surprisingly pleasant, that he enjoyed. Moments later, he drank deeply, a smile spreading across his face, much to Belle’s delight as he spoke. ”This is delicious, you make a good cup of tea.”
She lit up at the praise and beamed. ”I can make it whenever you want, well, when I’m not in class, that is.”
Archer chuckled. ”I’ll hold you to that, Belle.”
As they settled into the cozy tent, the duo struck up a conversation, their words flowing easily. He soon discovered her passion for botany, her eyes lighting up as she described her studies of plants and their complex ecosystems. Intrigued, he leaned forward, a spark of connection forming.
”You know, you should meet my wives, Llyniel and Halime,” he offered. ”They’re both absolutely obsessed with that sort of thing, always out in the garden or poring over herbs in their lands. I bet you three would get along like a house on fire, swapping notes on rare flora and their uses.”
”I would like that,” she responded excitedly. ”I can’t believe how pretty your daughters are, especially the twins, their grey skin is so smooth.”
”Yes, they are half Dragon and Moon Elf,” he revealed. ”Their mother looks like them without some of my features.”
”So she’s grey as well?”
Archer nodded. ”Yes, there’s green, red, and all kinds of colored skin. Too many to count if I’m honest,” he said.
”That’s amazing,” she muttered. ”Is racism a thing there?”
”Of course,” he chuckled. ”But it’s more on what race you are, Elf, Demi-Human, Demon, or Human. There are hundreds on Thrylos. If I remember correctly, there are three or four lost continents throughout the world.”
Belle’s eyes widened in surprise as Archer continued. ”But in my empire, it’s not a thing; everyone gets on.”
”Interesting,” the young woman replied. ”I like the sound of this world, I’d like to live there one day.”
”Maybe you can, depending on what you decide,” he said with a thoughtful nod.
Just then, the tent flap burst open, and two figures stumbled inside, their sudden arrival shattering the calm. He turned to see the twins’ friends, Rach and Lila, their faces drained of color, eyes wide with shock, and bodies trembling uncontrollably thanks to the weather getting colder.
Archer waved his hand, and warm air washed over the duo, drying and making them feel better. The women looked at him with wide eyes as Rach commented. ”What did you just do?”
”Made you feel better,” he answered, finishing Belle’s delicious tea. ”A thank you would be nice, but honestly? It doesn’t matter to me because you’re their friends.”
”What’s going on here?” Sasha said, appearing at the bedroom door.
Her brown eyes narrowed at her friends, wondering why they were here. She stepped forward, questioning. ”Why are you girls here?”
Lila spoke up, her voice tinged with relief as she explained. ”Our tent collapsed in that crazy wind,” she explained. ”And then that strange barrier appeared out of nowhere. We barely made it here before the storm got even worse.”
Her words tumbled out, her pale face and trembling hands underscoring the ordeal they’d just endured. When Sasha heard this she rushed to her friend, hugging her as a concerned expression appeared as she looked at him. ”Can you go check on everyone please?”
”Alright,” he replied, leaving the tent only to see his shield blocking out most of the horrible weather.
People were rushing around as Scarlet tried to organize the people but they weren’t listening thanks to the magic on display. Moments later, Archer spotted several tents flattened causing him to wave his hand, using Mana Manipulation he repaired everything in sight, shocking the people who spotted this.
