- Chapter 1588 - 1588: Can I Get A Drink, Please?

Archer was sitting in the treehouse’s living room while Cece, Sasha, and Belle were chatting after exploring every part they could. He was lying back, eyes closed, as the blonde questioned. ”Did you make this all yourself?”
”Yes,” he answered, looking into her red eyes. ”It costs me mana to do it, but now I have unlimited.”
The trio looked amazed as Cece spoke. ”Can I get a drink, please? My mouth has gone dry.”
With a wave of his hand, Archer created three glasses full of freshly pressed fruit juice, each one glistening in the soft light. The women were already caught off guard by the treehouse they found themselves in. The trio gasped in unison, their eyes widening with surprise as the ladies each accepted a glass.
The juices glowed with rich shades, deep crimson, golden amber, and a soft, rosy pink, each one radiating an aroma of exotic fruits. As they marveled at the drinks, Archer couldn’t help but smile at their reactions, making it even better as they started taking small sips, only for their eyes to widen.
”These aren’t just any juices,” he began, carrying a hint of pride. ”The fruits used to craft them were grown by Llyniel herself in the gardens she loved. I’ve kept them preserved in my Item Box, perfectly fresh, waiting for the right moment to share with everyone.”
When the trio heard this, they began drinking as Bella commented. ”This is delicious, there’s no sugar or artificial flavours like on Earth.”
”Yes, they’re all freshly grown across Draconia,” he revealed. ”She’s been doing it for years and has become one of the best in the empire.”
Their eyes widened as Sasha spoke. ”How come we haven’t seen her? Is she shy?”
Archer nodded, smiling. ”Yes, she is, but I can ask her to come here if you’d like to meet?”
They all agreed, causing him to send the Wood Elf a message. ‘Llyn are you busy, beautiful?’
Seconds later, the young woman responded. ‘No, just finished working with Hali. Can I see you? It’s been weeks since we’ve spent some time together.”
‘Of course,’ he answered, summoning the brown-haired beauty who appeared in his lap.
Llyniel’s cheeks went red, but she started hugging him, nuzzling into his neck, sending a shiver down his spine. Archer took hold of the young woman as he spoke. ”Llyn, I want you to meet these three.”
The Wood Elf turned to face the others, causing her to freeze at the sight of their warm smiles. Undeterred, he continued. ”Meet Cece, Sasha, and their friend Belle. They’re eager to meet the brilliant mind behind the juices.”
”Oh wow, she’s so beautiful,” Cece commented, blue eyes full of admiration as she greeted her. ”It’s good to meet you, Archer has told us all about you.”
When Llyniel heard this, she smiled. ”All good stuff, I hope?”
They all nodded as Sasha added. ”I love your brown eyes, they remind me of a Disney Princess’s.”
”I am a princess? Well, empress now, I guess?” The Wood Elf giggled. ”I don’t care about all that, my love lets me do whatever I like. So I don’t have to fight like the other girls love doing, I prefer growing plants and helping the empire.”
The trio’s eyes lit up as Belle spoke up. ”Are you the one who helped Arch stockpile food for this famine he mentioned?”
Llyniel beamed. ”Yes! We have so much food it will take over a hundred years to use it,” she revealed.
Following this, the four women began chatting as Maeve sent a message to Archer. ‘Arch! A swarm of monsters is heading toward the wall on Orientia. Can you help please?’
He sighed before lifting Llyniel, interrupting them. ”I have to see Maeve and the others. Something’s attacking the wall even though it’s winter and a storm has hit the eastern continent.”
Llyniel looked concerned. ”Are the girls okay? I know Inara and Ashoka are also there?”
Archer nodded, causing the Wood Elf to calm down, and a smile crossed her pretty face. ”Help them, I’ll keep my harem sisters busy. Maybe I can show them my garden in the Domain? It’s one of my biggest and best?”
”Do it,” he replied. ”They’ll love the place and the monsters know not to approach you.”
”Yes, the last time Hali burned one with her venom,” she revealed, giggling. ”It was a massive spider that tried lunging at us, but it learned its lesson.”
Archer chuckled and kissed all the women on the forehead before vanishing. He reappeared on the massive wall that blocked his part of the eastern continent from the rest of the chaotic land. Once there, he sent out a wave of mana that washed over the landscape, showing him every monster or creature lingering in the darkness.
Just then, Maeve appeared from the nearby tower. She was wrapped in a thick cloak and had her hood up, thanks to the horrible wind brushing against his skin. He ignored it to greet the orange-haired beauty. ”Hello, my warrior wife. Where’s this army?”
The young woman pointed over the edge, prompting Archer to look only to see some werewolf-like creatures floating on the moat’s surface. His eyes narrowed as he sensed the aura coming off them. He let out a growl and hissed. ”Damn, Terravians are getting involved, it seems. I’m sure the leaders are tired of the Alliance failing to take me down.”
Maeve trembled at his words, but he reassured her by summoning thousands of Broodmaw and Venomwings. He ordered the flying monsters to hunt down any beasts lurking outside the walls while the mantis-like ones formed up behind the fortifications, ready to jump in if any broke through.
When the Draconians first spotted the Broodmaws, panic rippled through their ranks. But as the commanders recognized they belonged to him, the troops calmed down instantly. The mantis-like monsters remained unmoving. Archer watched this and nodded. ”This should be enough for any attack.”
”What if human troops appear? Like they did last time and managed to kill many of your monsters” Maeve questioned, a concerned expression appearing on her face.
Archer smiled at the young woman and didn’t answer straight away. He suddenly embraced her. She melted into his arms as he finally spoke. ”Then I’ll send human-killing creatures to deal with them. I’ll stay here for a day or two to make sure the Alliance doesn’t try a sneaky attack.”
Maeve visibly relaxed at that and replied, ”Thank you, husband. This winter’s been horrible, and the girls have been burning wood nonstop.”
”Let’s spark some dragonfire in those hearths,” he said with a warm smile. ”That’ll keep you beauties cozy when the storm rolls in.”
Maeve guided him to the tower, and as they stepped inside, they found Inara shivering, tossing damp wood into the struggling fire. Ashoka, bundled in thick blankets, was curled up on the sofa. At the sight of him, both women’s faces brightened. He cast a shield around the room, then channeled mana to warm the air.
As the chill dissipated, the lioness’s eyes gleamed with warmth. She sprang toward Archer, her passionate kiss radiating a love that outshone any flame. Sensing the vitality of all three women, Archer noted their pregnancies remained safely paused, a precaution taken by Brooke and Ari due to the ongoing war.
Confusion flickered across his face, but Inara and Maeve explained. As generals determined to fight, they had chosen to temporarily suspend the pregnancies. The spell would safeguard the fetuses while pausing their growth until the women could return to Draconia. This put his worry to rest as he held Inara close.
Following that, Archer kissed Ashoka and Maeve, making the two women happy. The three of them sat down, and he crouched in front of the fireplace. He took a deep breath before breathing a stream of dragonfire into the hearth. Warm air washed through the tower, heating the maid and guard quarters.
”Looks like I’ll need to heat the entire wall or the soldiers will freeze over,” he muttered.
After speaking, he sent a shield over the entire Draconian part of Orientia and ramped up the heat. This used so much mana that he collapsed to one knee, sweat covering his body, breathing heavily. Maeve rushed up to him and began sending energy into him. It helped, but some of his body was fading.
”Fuck, now I need to rest,” he complained.
Archer looked at his hand, which was slightly transparent. It soon returned to normal thanks to the ambient mana in the air rushing into him. He let out a sigh of relief, revealing. ”Now the legions will be warm for a few days, then the shields will fade away. It’s too much for me to keep doing.”
”Don’t!” Inara snapped. ”We’ll make sure there’s enough dry wood and mages on hand to keep us warm.”
Following that, Archer sat down in a comfortable chair and relaxed. His body aching but it soon died down thanks to getting more mana.
