Chapter 326: Wood Elf Secret Realm – 2
“You cannot even do any greetings before you receive any money?” Leo asked with an incredulous expression, watching Andrew already typing out a new invoice.
Hearing Leo, Andrew sneered.
“Like you give a damn about greetings. Give the money, let’s be quick.”
“I am already in debt after betting on Leon because of you…” Andrew muttered under his breath, the words too low to reach Leo’s ears.
“Yeah, whatever. But 40,000 AC? Isn’t it a bit expensive?” Leo asked.
Even after every expense, he was left with 11.36 million AC, but that didn’t mean he should incur unnecessary costs.
“Tsk. So stingy even after having more than 10 million…” Andrew muttered again, though the words entered through Leo’s left ear and slipped straight out the right. He would never care if somebody was jealous of his wealth.
“The cost is that much because of obvious reasons. First and most important—time,” Andrew explained. “I am 100% sure you are looking for wood elves to protect and build your territory before the mandatory bounty is put on it. Yes, you can always search on your own, but you wouldn’t want to waste five days looking for conquerable realms when the bounty could be on your head the very next day.”
He tapped his screen again before continuing.
“Second, in rare cases, if you plan to sell them away, they will fetch a large sum of money. Even the normal powerless ones would go for at least a million.”
“Third, the information about the realm that I will be revealing is perfect for you.” Andrew smiled slightly.
“As for the reason it’s perfect…”
Ding!
>Invoice received from Second Term student – Andrew
>100,000 AC
Leo was taken aback. But before he could question it, Andrew spoke first.
“It’s always easier to defeat an enemy if you have information about them and their abilities. Add to that the fact that the rank of those beings might actually be perfect for you to capture with a little difficulty, but enough to guarantee your territory’s safety if you manage to enslave them.”
Andrew concluded, leaving it to Leo to decide whether the information was worth buying.
But even before Leo could respond, Kaelion wired the money to Leo.
“Can’t have you doing all the expenses, right?” Kaelion said casually.
Leo only shrugged before transferring the credits as Andrew began explaining. At the same time, Leo received a mark on his phone’s map function.
“430 kilometers toward the northeast from here, you will find a nearly frozen waterfall,” Andrew said. “If you look around the base of the waterfall and break the ice, you will find a cave entrance. Follow the entrance, and at the end of it, you will find nothing.”
“What?”
But Andrew continued as if he hadn’t heard him.
“That’s because the realm opens between 7 PM and 11 PM. A 4-hour window for you to enter, run around, capture whatever elves and resources you can find, and get back. If you miss the window, be sure that the professor escorting you will need to step in to rescue you when the realm reopens.”
He paused briefly.
“The realm I am talking about is not only exclusive to the 1st term, but even the 2nd term. You should be aware of the difficulty this implies.”
“As for when rescue happens, I am sure you know that whatever you acquired—captives, resources, or anything else—needs to be left behind because the professor can only defend.”
“So I suggest you not get greedy like others and leave on time.”
“Wait. What do you mean?” Leo asked, frowning.
“Let me talk first. Then I will answer whatever questions you have.”
Andrew leaned back to the wall slightly.
“The reason you need to leave during the window is because of a certain individual inside the realm. The Dreambearer. Alongside having the talent [World Dream], she is said to possess another talent that increases the strength and synergy of the other elves around her.”
“The synergy effect can even be described as monstrous according to the people who entered the realm to conquer it.”
“Apparently, it increases mana recovery rate, body recovery rate, overall strength, and even creates a thought link. One person said they caught an elf secretly and planned to retreat, but the next moment they found themselves surrounded—even while cloaked in stealth.”
“This allows the elves to play a stamina game inside the dense forest that the secret realm contains. And another fact, some have abilities that blend them in the environment, so expect surprise attacks.”
“As for their numbers, they are 14… 15 if the Dreambearer is included. Though no one has ever been able to locate the Dreambearer’s exact position. And mind you, their numbers have remained the same for 10 years since the secret realm was discovered.”
Andrew glanced at them.
“Which means they are very protective of each other.”
“As for their personal information, all of them are girls, with most of their strengths capped at the Pseudo 3-star realm. Though the most recent exploration 6 months ago reported that 3 or 4 had crossed into the proper Low 3-star realm, and 1 even reached the Pseudo 4-star realm.”
“All because they managed to acquire some advancement treasures and materials through a spatial ring they snatched from a party of 2nd-term men.”
Andrew then added quietly,
“They seem to be very repulsive toward men…”
He let out a short breath.
“…because the last group was thoroughly humiliated. And they dared to do that because they somehow figured out the escort professor would not interfere until they were in mortal danger.”
Andrew shrugged slightly.
“So you can understand what must have happened without me explaining it in detail. Still, for your information, the escort professor eventually took pity and intervened when the men were about to be castrated.”
He smirked faintly.
“Yeah, pity. Not because of his job. Castration is not considered mortal danger.”
Hearing all that, both Leo and Kaelion were speechless.
“Are you taking out your revenge on me?” Leo finally asked.
“Huh? Why would I?” Andrew said with a raised brow that raised flags in both men minds. “I lost that money due to my own foolishness. You are still my client.”
He leaned forward again.
“As for why I am recommending that realm—it is perfect for your strength levels.”
“A Peak 3-star that can soul fuse to become a Pseudo 4-star, a proper Pseudo 4-star—both capable of displaying the strength of 5-star beings—and a High 3-star, along with all the beasts.”
Andrew tapped the floor with his feet.
“You can easily capture 5 to 7 elves and retreat before the realm closes.”
