But Andrew didn’t stop.
“As for the risk that if you enter and the world decides your strength is higher and then prevents you from attacking… it’s highly unlikely due to the variable factor—the Dreambearer. Her strength should have been no less than Pseudo 4-star 6 months ago if her buffs were strong enough to defeat a party of 20 men who averaged around Low to Mid 3-star beings.”
“And what I am talking about was 6 months ago, which means some of them might have advanced to Low 3-star or higher, and even Pseudo 4-star… Low 4-star is unlikely, as 6 months is barely any time to advance that much, even if you have all the known resources,”
Andrew said with a casual shrug.
All 4 of them stared at him blankly.
Though whatever he said might be true for Kaelion and Miho, it was a completely wrong statement for Leo and Lily.
Both had begun their journey just over 3 months prior and were already Low 4-star beings, with Lily already standing at the cusp of Mid 4-star.
But whatever Andrew said must be true in general—because the abnormal ones were Leo and Lily.
With that, Andrew began explaining their way of fighting.
“Almost everyone uses a bow, which seems to be enhanced by silent magic—must have been cast by an elf. The only way you can feel it approaching you is if you are of a higher rank, or else you won’t hear the arrow whistle before you find it lodged in your head.”
He smirked faintly.
“But the thing is, they won’t lodge it into your head, knowing the professor will step in. Instead, they put poison on the tips of their arrows and shoot at your limbs to immobilise you… and their shooting range is greater than 500 meters.”
Andrew chuckled.
“Hehe, strong archers are a must for any territory. And an archer that will be completely obedient and at your disposal? They are the best—especially when they are top-tier beauties. The men who tried to capture them were all so entranced by their beauty that some even said they couldn’t concentrate on fighting before their eyes wandered.”
Leo and Kaelion scoffed at the same time.
“Sounds like a weak excuse,” Leo said flatly.
As men themselves, they knew real men would never get distracted even if a jade beauty was fighting them naked; staying alive was the top priority.
Even Lily and Miho seemed confident about the two, though they could indeed imagine others being completely different. Especially Lily—she had a long history of dodging bullets.
Leo did notice, however, that Andrew had returned to his usual personality after securing some funds.
“Some can use daggers, but there have been very few instances of them being caught in close range. Especially the fact that when you corner one elf, others will barrage you with arrows until you become cheese.”
Andrew exhaled as he typed something on his phone before sending it to Kaelion, already knowing he would be the one paying.
Ding!
>Invoice received from 2nd Term Student – Andrew
>50,000 AC
“Keke, you wouldn’t want to enter the realm without knowing the terrain and the native beasts, right? Especially when there are rumours that the elves can guide those beasts to you so you get busy fighting them while they turn you into cheese?” Andrew said with a sly smile.
Leo sighed. Getting information was certainly expensive.
But it was worth it if they could prepare beforehand.
In the end, the total cost of all the information came down to 230,000 AC—all paid by Kaelion.
But then Leo asked an important question.
“You said a group of 20 men with strength averaging at Mid 3-star were easily beaten. But aren’t we only 4? With one of us even being only Peak 2-star?”
Andrew waved his hands dismissively.
“Only you alone could be leagues ahead of them. They all only had one main beast, and it was their beast’s strength that I am talking about, which averaged at Low to Mid 3-star. Personally, they were no stronger than Mid to High 2-star. Even weaker than Miho, whom you say is Peak 2-star.”
“You must be already aware that a single higher ranked being is enough to deal with multiple lower ranks even if the lower ranks happen to be just 1 to 2 minor ranks below.”
He continued, his eyes narrowing accusingly.
“And don’t you have like 3 beasts at Low 3-star? I am sure with the rewards you received, one might have even reached mid-3-star. Not to mention the beast you are still hiding that must be stronger than you.”
He leaned forward slightly. Though Leo and others did notice that Andrew seemed to have a lot of wrong information on them, which was great because he was an informant, and his having wrong information meant that others who would buy information from him about them would also have wrong intel. That’s a huge advantage.
Knowing this, the four of them did their best to be expressionless so as not to give away anything.
“Even Leon—I have seen him having a Peak 3-star and a Mid 3-star beast. Lily is no less—2 Pseudo 3-star beasts.”
Andrew then started suggesting how they should fight, his experience as a second-term student clearly showing.
“Lily and Miho could easily handle 4 to 5 elves. That Spirit Treant alone is tanky enough to take all the arrows, and due to its spirit body, which doesn’t bother getting hurt physically and its healing skill, it can easily hold its ground for a long duration.”
“The Windbreath Hound has a nice lightning-based attack, striking the surroundings randomly at random times to keep the hidden ones on edge.”
“As for Leon, his scorpion… that’s an extremely rare magical beast. I don’t even know how he acquired it… at minimum a noble bloodline,” Andrew said, shaking his head slightly.
“Anyways, that magical beast has mastery over cancelling magic-based attacks when they make contact with its body. Those elves’ arrows are magic-enhanced, so I suppose you can tell what I am talking about.”
He spread his hands.
“Combined with the Noble Lion, he can speed blitz through the rest of the elves.”
Then he looked directly at Leo.
“As for you… if possible, try looking for the Dreambearer and prevent other beasts and the Pseudo 4-star elf from interfering with the others.”
“Use your Dryad beast to capture the elves. They view Dryads as messengers of nature, so you can easily fool them with it.”
“Once you have captured 6 or 7, retreat as quickly as possible.”
“And you win.”
Leo frowned.
“Why retreat? I can easily imagine capturing all of them with how you described it.”
Andrew shook his head slowly.
“See, you are getting greedy—just like the others.”
He paused before adding,
“Did you forget you only have 4 hours?”
“And wait… did I mention that the secret realm has an expanse of 200 square kilometres?”
