Chapter 364: This Is Not Normal [Bonus 1/2]
Lily, already high up, looked around to see if any important vegetation like the Fluxsoil Heart, Titanbreath Lotus, or the Blueleaf was harmed. So far, everything was in its place; the only compromised location was Bigfoot’s cave and their sheds, which had been shifted by Howl to a different location.
Thankfully, Lily had told the elves to make the house at the edge of the territory, or else even that would have been shifted, and the elves would have needed to work extra to bring all the materials back to one place.
Seeing Leo rest for a bit, she called out.
“Leo! Do you need any help?” she asked. Now that she could use Leo’s element—which included the earth element—she could be of use.
Leo thought for a while and said, “Call Brok and ask him to take Veronica away from the territory while I complete this pool. I am going to make major changes to the territory.”
“What about us?” Kaelion asked.
“No, you can stay. What I am going to do might disclose Howl’s existence, that’s why.”
Kaelion nodded. The elves who were standing on the sides were already alarmed by Bigfoot’s sudden appearance, and now there was a new existence like Howl that was yet to appear.
But some other elves were busy looking at Bigfoot.
“Hey Elirin, doesn’t this creature look like the one our village head described?” the elf named Sylira asked.
Elirin, the first elf that was captured by Leo’s group along with her sister Elaris, also looked somewhat conflicted. By now, her crass nature was already kept in check by Sylrael, and even if she wanted to curse someone, just seeing Kaelion’s Singham and Lily’s dangerous presence made her remain quiet.
“Yes… It looks strangely like the guardian druid that our village head described, but isn’t it smaller? They are supposed to be around 4 or 5 meters in height…”
They discussed while looking at Bigfoot. Bigfoot had reduced his original size of 6 meters to 3 meters; that’s why his presence wasn’t as domineering as it should be. Combined with Miho’s grooming, he looked more like a sheltered pet giant than a barbarian beast.
“Leave that,” another elf commented.
“Why does L-Lord have so many noble and divine beasts under him… humans are not supposed to be commanding them. We worship them.”
The world these elves had come from was a very wild world with development stages of early medieval times, where humans or other races didn’t have any highly developed civilisation; most lived like nomads and barbarians.
And most important was appearance. In no way did the humans look like Leo, Kaelion, Miho, or Lily. Their beauty standard was on par with, if not greater than, that of their own race. Though males were always a bit rough in any race, girls like Lily were extremely rare even in the elves’ area.
But not only was Lily a human, she might as well be the best-looking woman in their world.
While others were lost in their own thoughts, Leo continued his work.
He shifted the whole landscape and brought all the magic fruit plants around the circular pool. Once again, specific plants had specific locations, so it was easy to gather them. Bigfoot and the sheds were once again relocated.
After at least 10 minutes of work, Leo opened his eyes and then chugged the mana recovery–boosting potion that Veronica had given him the other day.
Just these 10 minutes had emptied his reserves, though the probable reason was that he wasn’t well-versed in terraforming, making him waste more mana. Previously, Howl was said to do so, but now there were structures already built, and Howl might damage them.
Brok had already arrived and flown away with Veronica. Now it was finally time for the real job.
Leo signalled Howl.
Brant, watching from high up in the sky, had his eyes widen slightly at the sight he was witnessing.
Howl, who had been sitting peacefully, shook. And not only shook, but even released a huge amount of energy as the mound—which was him in disguise—started to expand rapidly.
KRAAAK—KRAK—KRRRK!
KRRRSHHH!
SKRRRRAAACK!
CHRRRKK!
The trees around the mound splintered and twisted, and the land started to swallow them, but Howl didn’t allow them to get crushed or broken. After gently rooting them out, he guided the trees over the new, expanding mound.
The original mound was nearly 400 to 450 meters in length, 200 to 250 meters in width, and stood 200 meters tall, but now it had already crossed more than 500 meters in length, 350 meters in width, and was higher than 250 meters. And it still didn’t stop.
“Holy shit!” Kaelion cursed and tried to balance his body as the ground trembled violently. Miho had already fallen on her butt and tried to keep herself steady. Many elves were the same as Miho. Lily had already used a vine to help her stand straight on the tree branch.
As for Bigfoot, he had already prostrated himself on the ground facing towards Howl’s face and chanted prayers in his own language.
Lily told Naelith, who had come beside Sylrael in case of any danger, to inform the other 6 elves below the plateau through their mind link that everything was fine and that there was no need to worry.
Naelith still wasn’t used to getting orders from others, but agreed while copying Lily’s technique of vines to steady herself. Though her vines were of a reddish hue, just like her hair and eyes.
*pic*
Many elves already looked panicked as to what was happening, even Sylrael looked very confused, from her expression, it was clear she could sense something in the ground as she observed the surroundings.
Brant was equally astonished from above.
“I don’t think Cragveil Colossus expands itself like this… doesn’t it happen gradually over the years? Just what is this brat’s talent? No wonder he is so secretive,” Brant muttered, watching the phenomenon with interest.
The mound continued to expand, and along with the mound, even the plateau region expanded; now, instead of 100 meters previously in diameter, it was 200.
And Howl’s new length was 800 meters, width 550 meters, and height of nearly 400 meters.
Even greater than the other Colossus back in Thalor Trail City.
Ding!
Leo’s attention was diverted by the system’s notification.
