Chapter 366: Tavian
5 days passed by.
“Ummm…” Lily woke in the morning and tapped the empty sheet beside her.
“Leo?” she called softly, only to find him missing.
She quickly freshened up and walked out onto the balcony of their new double-story house made entirely of carved wood. The morning air was cool, carrying faint sounds from the distant beast.
BAM!
“You! How the hell are you growing so fast?!”
THAM!
Kaelion cursed as he was thrown away by Leo’s punch.
Leo shrugged.
“I don’t know… Just grow fast, I guess?” he said simply before charging once again at Kaelion.
They were currently locked in a sparring match that Kaelion had unilaterally declared first thing in the early morning.
But Leo had also noticed something strange.
“Your strength increase is also abnormal. Just a few days ago you were barely a Pseudo 4-star, and now directly at the cusp of Low 4-star? What—” Leo side-stepped, dodging a volley of magic stingers.
But the stingers didn’t even travel far before Lily’s hydra—Pryde—cast a water barrier to block them. He acted like a guard, preventing any stray attack from going outside their 70 to 80-meter training arena above the plateau.
“That’s only natural. The soul-enhancing treasure that you gave me is doing wonders. My talent capabilities are starting to show again.”
In the distance, Miho and a few elves could be seen plucking magic fruits, while Bigfoot stared down into the pond curiously, watching the various kinds of fish. Apparently, even after 5 days, his curiosity hadn’t gone away. Whenever he spotted a new fish, he would get excited and try to catch it—because Leo had only said not to eat or harm them, nothing about catching or examining. It seemed that Brant had caught way too many varieties of fish than necessary.
A different match was going on between Niri, Nyxa, and Singham; Niri and Nyxa were on the same team, and Singham was alone, though it was clear that Singham was playing around with them. But it was a different matter for Shyra and Grivak. Both being High 3-star beasts, they were equal-level contestants.
A few elves, whose turn to work hadn’t arrived yet, were sitting beside the treant and watching the beasts battle. Though it was clear who they were looking at the most—Niri. Niri being a Dryad and having a teenage appearance made them almost entranced, and even if they tried, they couldn’t pry their eyes away from her.

Some elves were even secretly cheering for her to get back at the Lion that had captured them so ruthlessly back in the realm. Though they had become somewhat comfortable in the territory, it wasn’t to the point that they could shout and cheer loudly.
Down below the plateau, Veronica was still busy brewing, and the three girls were cooking. Both Brok and Virat were busy training and would occasionally glance toward the plateau after hearing loud clashing noises.
“Damn… Can we ever reach their level?” Virat asked Brok while running side by side around the territory’s perimeter.
“No way,” Brok replied without hesitation.
“Boss literally transformed more than 50 hectares within an hour while we were asked to go away. I haven’t seen even 3rd term students do that. And he is a fresher, like so fresh he hasn’t even taken any important class.”
Virat nodded.
“We need to work hard, or we will get thrown out of the territory for being useless.”
“I even got the first demotion. Huhuhu,” Brok cried jokingly.
But Virat didn’t pay attention to him, even living in a 50% more mana-dense region was a blessing for people like them.
“By the way, don’t you think those 3 have been strangely excited after those 6 elves started to live beside us?” Virat asked, referring to Sylva, Mira, and Aina.
“Those 3? Might have been happy after getting some new company,” Brok suggested.
“But they weren’t like that before; they used to be tense. Only after talking to them, Veronica said they specifically asked about mistreatment or discrimination, and only after confirming nothing like that was happening did they become cheerful.”
Brok shrugged.
“Maybe they got confirmation that they won’t be treated badly in the future? Being a girl is difficult, especially in a territory ruled by a man. They must be happy that if even elven slaves are treated like proper women, then they, being humans, would also be given proper treatment.”
“Heh,” Virat scoffed.
“If Lord had been a bad man, Veronica wouldn’t even have approached him to thank him in the first place and then proceeded to join his territory. They worry needlessly.”
Brok shook his head.
“Trust me, I have seen enough nobles to have my own methods to judge them. And I have even seen many who present themselves outwardly as good but have a dark side, even darker than the abyss. But I would say you people lucked out, because boss ain’t like those nobles.” Brok stopped and wiped his sweat.
“How to say it?” he said, scratching his cheek.
“Boss seems to have the presence and command of a noble and the familiarity of a commoner friend you’ve had since childhood. A strange but good mix to have in a person who leads you.”
Virat nodded, then opened his mouth to say something.
“But Lord’s miss is danger—”
Brok covered Virat’s mouth.
“One suggestion, my friend,” Brok said, looking straight at Virat’s face.
“If you want to have a good life in this territory—er, in this Academy—never talk about Lord’s miss behind her back. Be it good or bad, never.”
Brok looked up and put his hand on his chin as if thinking about something, then looked back at Virat.
“Matter of fact, it might even get difficult for you to live in the whole Empire with the way she is growing. Because she will soon become strong and important enough to be valued by humanity, and in the end, even if she slaughters you in the middle of a street, people will blame you for getting in her way.”
Virat gulped nervously, because Brok said everything with such a straight face like he had already accepted those words as fact.
In the end, Virat could only nod as they continued their training.
Back up on the plateau, Leo and Kaelion had to halt their sparring because Sylrael spoke something telepathically to him.
“Lord, a few people are coming riding a flying mount. One person has a bright orange colour hair.”
“Orange?” Leo muttered, looking toward the direction Sylrael mentioned.
“Tavian?” he guessed, since he only knew one person with orange hair.
