Shi Lang and Amelia went through the defense barriers, and located a small town like settlement. The houses were lavish and they found a lot of people standing in the square. They were all dressed in a white robe. Shi Lang landed on the ground with Amelia and sighed as he asked, “Has the family lost its fashion sense?”

The people were embarrassed but they quickly bowed and said, “Welcome home, Grand Uncle. Welcome home, Grand Aunt.”

Shi Lang smiled and nodded while Amelia said, “Raise your head. Where is your family head? We need to catch up on a lot of things.”

The people raised their heads and one middle-aged man stepped forward as he said, “Grand Uncle, Grand Aunt, I am Shi Kai, the family head is my father, Shi Yen. He is in the ancestral hall, but…”

Shi Lang smiled as he looked at his great grand nephew and asked, “But what, Xiao Kai. You can speak without hesitation.”

Shi Kai sighed and said, “Elders, my father, and all of us, have been cursed. It is not advised that you come in contact with us.”

Shi Lang was shocked, and he raised his brow as he asked, “What is going on? Speak clearly, how can a grown man dawdle like a child?”

Shi Lang frowned and appeared beside Shi Kai in a flick and before the man could even react, the Terran grasped his wrist and sensed the spiritual energy circulating inside his body. After a moment, Shi Lang frowned and said, “It is nothing.”

The Shamans have infected them with a spiritual seal that was suppressing their energy and when his energy ventured inside the Shi Kai’s body, it directly removed the sea in his soul. Shi Lang let go of the man and then he changed his spiritual energy inside the bodies of all the people present.

Although these people had no idea what was going on, but the next moment, they felt that their bodies didn’t feel too heavy, and slow. Shi Lang looked at them and said, “This was a soul seal that would diminish your strength over time. Now, can you bring me to your father?”

Shi Kai woke up from his revere, and he bowed to Shi Lang in gratitude, before all the other followed him, however, Amelia sighed and said, “Are you all going to act this formal with us for real? You do understand that we are also members of this family, right?”

Shi Kai stood up and smiled as he said, “Yes, Grand Aunt, pardon us. Please come with me, I will take you to Father.”

He turned around and said, “Tingting, go and bring those kids back.”

A lively young lady appeared among the crowd and said, “Yes, Baba.”

She smiled at Shi Lang and Amelia before leaving, and Shi Kai told the family members to handle their things before gathering back in the main hall later on. Then he led Shi Lang and Amelia through the town. The couple looked around the place, when Amelia suddenly paused and asked, “Shi Kai, is my mother also resting in this world?”

Shi Kai nodded and said, “Yes, Grand Aunt. She went through her tribulation almost at the same time as Aunt Tao ascended, at least that’s what I heard from the family records.”

Shi Lang said, “We will visit the elders first.”

He squeezed out a drop of blood and created a clone, Shi Kai was surprised, and Shi Lang said, “Take this clone to your father, he is capable of resolving the seal as well.”

Shi Kai nodded, and then the couple held hands before they moved to the east of the town where lay a cemetery. Shi Lang took a deep breath, before he saw Amelia move over to her Mother’s bust, and she said, “Mum.”

Her voice was akin to a whisper, but this whisper changed everything. The bust began to glow, and then a hologram appeared beside the bust. Shi Lang took a deep breath to calm his mind because he almost screamed Ghost.

The Hologram looked at Amelia, and asked, “Amy, is that you, my dear?”

Amelia had a tear form in her eye, as she asked, “Mum, what is this? What is going on?”

The hologram smiled and said, “This is the last message that I recorded for you. Although it was a long shot, I thought that someday when a child from the family ascends, they might be able to bring the message along. Tell me, who ascended?”

Amelia shook her head and said, “Lang brought me back to the federation. A lot of things happened.”

Amelia began to narrate how she met her demise and how Shi Lang brought her back to life. The hologram sighed and said, “Well, I knew that as long as Lang breaths nothing can harm you, but I never expected him to go against death for you. You are very lucky, my child.”

Amelia nodded and the hologram said, “This message was recorded after my failed tribulation so the conscious interaction here is not very realistic. Amelia nodded, as tears dripped down her cheeks, and the Hologram said, “That’s all, now I am going before your husband blames me for making you cry, and don’t forget to collect the space ring I left behind with the Shi Family, it carries all my treasures and wealth that I left for you.”

That said, the Hologram waved at the void before it and it vanished. Amelia sobbed, and Shi Lang’s heart ached. He wanted to console her, but the lady said, “I want to be alone for a bit, Lang. I am sure, your parents also left you a message. Go, check it first.”

Shi Lang took a deep breath and then he sighed to look at the bust of his parents and walked over there.
