Ace Of Terrans - Chapter 1117 1117: Change In Tactics.

Fairy Moon Jade was playing her zither in a garden, as Shi Lang cultivated in the distance. Amelia also sat beside Fairy Moon Jade, contemplating something. The lady with the zither asked, “What are you thinking about?”
Amelia shook her head and said, “I wonder if Lang would step in to fight during this competition.”
Fairy Moon Jade smiled faintly and replied, “I don’t think that he had a need to face an opponent. Also, he is holding back because of that Realm Lord.”
Amelia nodded and Fairy Moon Jade continued, “Another reason he is holding back is because of you. After you came back, your physique has been an enigma. He is worried that if someone stronger finds out about this, they would target you. He wants to hide as many cards as he can to counter a situation like that.”
Amelia hummed in response but she said, “I feel like worrying about the future is not a good thing, Sister Moon. If he has the capability, then he should step forward. What’s supposed to happen will happen eventually. This will not lower his responsibility towards the rest of the people. It is not just me that makes up his family, but also his daughters, you all.
Someone who stands on the peak of the race, they should work towards it benefit. How can he just sit back. If it is because of my return then I think it was better to be…”
Before she could say anything Fairy Moon Jade raised her hand to stop her. The lady said, “Amelia, I understand that you wish to see him do something good for the rest of the people as he stands on top of it, but understand this, he is a simple human and has his own emotions as well. You, for one, shouldn’t be someone to speak like this against him.”
Amelia sighed and replied, “I know, I love him more than I can say, and it is because I am aware how awesome he is that I wish to be his Trophy Wife.”
Fairy Moon Jade looked at Amelia completely amused and said, “Sis, your knack of making a joke is uncanny.”
The two of them looked at each other and chuckled. It has been a few days since they had the meeting, at this moment, suddenly, their communicators went off and Commander Silences’s voice sounded, “We have procured the specimen. Come to the prison cells.”
The ladies turned serious and then Amelia walked up to Shi Lang. The young man had closed his eyes and was indulged in cultivation. She woke him up and said, “They have found a specimen. Want to come along?”
Shi Lang gathered his thoughts and stood up from the ground before following them silently. When they reached the prison cell area, Commander Silence and Shi Tao were waiting for them. Almost all the saints from the human race had gathered here. Shi Lang said, “Since you all have come here, I will arrange for you to witness things on the spiritual screen. However, I hope that you all stay here. You would be able to communicate with us but don’t come inside.”
Someone asked, “Hall Master Shi, why are you prohibiting us?”
Shi Lang replied, “The reason is that if you come in and the specimen tried to attack you with soul attacks, I might not be able to rescue you. We have no idea what these fuckers can do.”
The people nodded and understood what concerned Shi Lang, the Terran didn’t tell them that the main reason he didn’t allow them inside was to prevent the secrets of the prison cell from leaking. These people were immature and cynical despite being experts, and thus Shi Lang wanted to prevent them from having a higher understanding of the Asura Hall.
Shi Lang and Fairy Moon Jade went inside the prison cell. Commander Silence led them through the corridors of the prison and then they came to a glass cell, and the lady said, “The entire chamber is covered with formations to stop him from leaving unannounced. The Sun Archers caught this thing trespassing their lands and used extreme Yang to seal him before handing over. We do have some data that confirmed that the soul energy fluctuations they emit are twenty times higher than a normal human.”
Shi Lang nodded and replied, “No wonder they can target the soul of another creature. Did anyone else talk to him?”
Commander Silence shook her head and Shi Lang said, “Have Darcx observe the interrogation, I will talk to this thing and then have Darcx to determine if the things he say are a lie or the truth.”
Commander Silence nodded and then sent a message to Darcx. The scene was being broad casted outside the prison cell as well. Shi Lang looked at the phantasmic creature flying across the cell and asked, “So, you are from the Moon Eye race, is it true that you can attack and destroy the soul of a person without harming them physically?”
The creature inside looked like an ethereal human, and had its eyes closed. Hearing what Shi Lang said the creature replied, “Have you caught me for this silly questioning? I didn’t expect that the rising race like humans would have such low intelligence.”
Shi Lang replied, “I am only seeking a confirmation, after all, do you really think that your kind is so invincible? If the Sun Archers can catch you, would you believe that I can kill you?”
The Moon Eye race ghost replied, “Yes, I do believe that you can kill me, but what would that help you achieve? Didn’t you catch me to find out about the secrets of my race?”
Shi Lang nodded and replied with a faint smile, “I did, but you are not going to tell me everything right? After all, it’s about the survival of the saints of your race.”
The creature inside the cell snorted and replied, “Those fucking losers, they only know how to bully the weak and they don’t comprehend emotions at all. Those ancient motherfuckers, they deserve to die more than anything else.
Do you know how they get stronger without a cultivation bottleneck? They consume the weak Moon Eye individual. They consume the soul energy of all the people they could. You wouldn’t even feel any pain if they decide to make a move and swallow your soul.”
This was a big thing, so Shi Lang confirmed the authenticity of the information with Darcx. Only when he received a green signal he asked, “Well, if that is the case, then why can’t you or the rest of the people handle it?”
The creature replied, “Because those men are manipulating a lot of dogs who favor them. In the past thousand years, there have been many rebellions but all of them have been crushed leaving behind nothing but scars and fear. The current leader of the sages, Agato, the one fighting all the battles in this tournament is behind it all. His motive is to cultivate the Moon Eyes, that would be able to defeat the Realm Lord in one attack.”
Shi Lang raised his brow and asked, “Isn’t he a bit too ambitious?”
The creature shook his head and said, “No, because the Moon Eyes work well with accumulation. If I don’t open my eyes for an year, I would be able to fight people on the immortal realm. Ten years to counter a Dao realm cultivator, and hundred for a person in a half step sage realm, thousand years for a Sage like you.
The leader, Agato has not opened his eyes in the past ten thousand years. Now tell me if he is a fool or a patient hunter.”
Shi Lang nodded after hearing this, he asked, “What is their weakness?”
This caused the man inside the cell to stop and after a few moments he said, “I only know a few basic ones, I am not sure if they would help you?”
Shi Lang replied with a calm face, “That would be our fate, but if it works, then you and your race would be free form this position.”
The creature sighed and said, “Two ways, one is to reflect the moon eyes onto the caster, or the second, creating an elemental imbalance in their bodies. How would you do that, I have no idea.”
Shi Lang looked at his communicator and Darcx said, “He is not telling the entire thing.”
Shi Lang asked again, and this time he revealed that he can tell if the man was telling the truth, or was he lying or something else was being withheld.
The creature inside replied, “To create the imbalance, you will need an elemental trigger, that is only possible when you are inside the arena.”
Shi Lang nodded and said, “Good, thank you for your help. After the battle ends, you will be set free. Regardless of the result.”
That said, he turned around to look at Fairy Moon Jade, and said, “I am fighting this round.”
