Chapter 363: Chapter 363: Three Demigods Attack Together!
Two beams of gray light shot into their bodies, instantly breaking the seals. They were pushed back by power to stand before Violet, stumbling twice before finding their balance.
Kane’s voice was low and left no room for argument as he commanded, “Swear loyalty to the royal family, or die.”
Blood River and Shadow exchanged a look. In each other’s eyes, they saw pure fear.
They could clearly feel the heavy pressure coming from Kane, along with his rapidly recovering energy.
They knew that if Kane fought with full power, they had absolutely no chance to resist. So, they dropped to one knee and bowed in submission to Violet.
Violet stepped forward. She gathered a pale gold royal totem mark in her fingertip and stamped it onto the forehead of each of them, planting a seal of obedience.
Then, she issued her orders right there: “Blood River, lead the 110,000 elite puppets from the Bloodline Temple to defend the eastern line at Bone-Blood Plains.”
“Shadow, command the 60,000 assassins from the Abyss Walkers to guard the western line. Move out immediately. No delays.”
Both men bowed in agreement, then turned and led the remaining forces of the Elder’s Hall to quickly evacuate the square.
Logan’s senses stayed locked on their retreating backs. He clearly noticed that in the moment Blood River lowered his head, a flash of bitter hatred crossed his eyes.
He used the soul contract to send a whisper to Violet: “Watch their every move. If they show any sign of betrayal, kill them immediately.”
Violet gave a barely noticeable nod in response.
She knew that Blood River and Shadow’s loyalty was only temporary; she needed people watching them constantly.
With the square organized, Kane’s gray eyes swept over the four of them. “Follow me.”
He turned and walked toward the black basalt tunnel behind the altar. The ground along both sides of the tunnel was covered in golden runes of destruction. Touching even one would trigger a Space Fold trap.
Nel, walking in the middle of the group, accidentally stepped on the wrong rune.
The space beneath her instantly folded, and half her body got sucked into the spatial folds. If Logan hadn’t used his Space Power to pull her out in time, she would have been sliced in half.
Kane walked ahead without looking back, his voice cold and sharp. “Stay close to my steps, or the rules will tear you apart.”
The four of them followed Kane through the tunnel for about ten minutes.
Halfway through, Kane suddenly stopped. He pulled open his bone armor to reveal a black scar running straight through his chest.
Around the scar, golden rules of destruction and black Devouring Rules were tangled together, endlessly eroding one another.
Kane spoke with a heavy tone: “Three years ago, No. 47 Restricted Zone launched a full-scale attack on No. 53 Restricted Zone. I fought the Origin Devourer to the death.”
“During that battle, my core soul was corrupted by Devouring Rules, causing irreversible damage. My combat power has been stuck at sixty percent ever since, unable to reach full potential.”
Looking at Logan with gratitude, he continued, “I didn’t expect you to have a way to stabilize my condition.”
Logan glanced at Kane’s scar. His own internal Devouring Rule sample immediately triggered a Resonance.
Logan nodded slightly and said, “My creation rules can extend your life once a month. However, it can only stabilize your injuries; it cannot cure them.”
“To completely strip away the Devouring Rule erosion, you need even stronger rule-stripping technology.”
Hearing this, Kane’s gray eyes locked onto Logan’s with a scrutinizing look. “It doesn’t matter. This is already great. By the way, you risked your life breaking into No. 53 Restricted Zone. What do you want?”
“Don’t talk nonsense about helping the Ancient Beast Clan clean up their own house. I don’t believe that.”
Logan’s tone remained calm and straightforward. “Do you believe me if I say I’m just here to gather intelligence?”
Kane looked slightly embarrassed. “You sure have a lot of nerve! So, what are your plans now?”
Logan smiled. “I plan to keep investigating the various restricted zones to fully understand the truth deep within the Lost World.”
“Of course, I also need to find enough rare resources to strengthen humanity and fight future enemies from the restricted zones.”
“As for our cooperation terms: help me get the intelligence and supplies I need. In return, I can provide you with high-quality mind stabilizers. They can temporarily restore eighty percent of your combat power for one hour.”
“Also, I can extend your life once a month to replenish the life energy you’ve lost.”
Hearing this, Kane paused for a moment. He didn’t answer immediately but just turned and continued walking forward.
At the end of the tunnel lay the doors to the Temple of Destruction.
As the group arrived near the temple, a golden throne made of condensed destruction rules floated in the center.
Kane stepped forward and sat down, gesturing for Logan and the others to take their seats.
Then, Kane raised his hand. A gray crystal flew from his palm, projecting a holographic image: a complete map of the ancient path leading deep into the Lost World.
The map marked three safe routes, the exact location of the No. 46 Restricted Zone Observer Organization, and the positions of all rule traps along the way.
Next, he took out ten black crystals and placed them on the stone table. Inside each crystal, golden destruction rune patterns flowed.
Each one contained extremely pure energy of destruction—crystals of the Demigod stage resource known as Destruction Crystals.
For a Saint-stage powerhouse, these crystals can not only boost their tier but also slightly increase their physical strength.
Finally, Kane produced an intelligence crystal and pushed it toward Logan. “This contains the complete intelligence network of No. 53 Restricted Zone. It includes the real-time marching routes of the No. 47 Vanguard and a record of all troop deployments during the Iron-Bone rebellion.”
Logan nodded slightly, raised his left hand, and pulled out ten crates of mind stabilizers from his familiar space.
The aura radiating from them made even Demigod-level Kane shudder. “There’s a Demigod presence here. What are these made of?”
“Demigod bones.” Logan replied casually.
Kane’s eyes jumped. Using Demigod bones to make medicine? That’s a lot of sacrifice!
“No wonder this works on my injury,” Kane sighed, his gaze fixed on the bottles.
Logan smiled and explained: “Of course. These are Demigod-stage mind stabilizers. Each vial can temporarily boost your combat power to 80% during a battle.”
“And this effect lasts for at least one hour.”
Next, Logan pulled out another memory crystal. It displayed the formation of his 800,000 Saint-stage familiar legion.
600,000 of the 28-star Dragon-Rhino Horned Ants swarming…
10,000 of the 32-star Ashen Dragons circling in the sky…
1,000 of the 36-star peak Saint Ashen Dragon Kings standing at the front…
The pressure from this Saint-stage legion was overwhelming, making Kane’s eyes jump again. While he didn’t know the exact strength of other restricted zones, he was certain that even a top-30 zone would struggle to field a legion this powerful.
Seeing Kane’s shocked expression, Logan smiled. “This is my 800,000 Saint-stage familiar legion. They can deploy through the ancient path to reinforce No. 53 Restricted Zone anytime to fight alongside the Ancient Beast Clan.”
Finally, looking at Kane, Logan added, “I promise to perform a monthly treatment for you, replenishing your life energy. As long as you honor this agreement, your injuries will never worsen.”
Violet, sitting in the middle, swept her golden vertical pupils over the offerings from both sides and nodded slightly. “No. 53 Restricted Zone is constantly prepared for war and stores massive amounts of Demigod-stage materials, but lacks top-tier alchemists to craft usable potions and equipment.”
“The Human Federation may lack individual strength, but it possesses technology for mass-producing Saint-stage power and top-tier alchemic support. The two sides’ offerings perfectly complement each other, giving this cooperation a solid material foundation.”
Hearing Violet’s assessment, Kane didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he stared intensely at Logan, letting his destruction rules spread slowly through the hall. “How can I trust that you won’t turn on me after getting the map and resources?”
“Humanity has always viewed us as invaders. We share over a thousand years of bloody blood debt.”
“Plus, aren’t you afraid that once I’m fully recovered, I’ll be the first to crush Pinocchini?”
Logan met his gaze, his expression calm and his tone unchanged. “First, you need me to replenish your life energy every month to keep you alive. I need your strength and resources to fight No. 47 Restricted Zone and others. Your No. 53 Restricted Zone will become Pinocchini’s shield. We need each other; our interests are bound. Breaking the deal hurts both sides.”
“Second, I have three Demigod consciousnesses sealed in my Soul Sea. If I choose, I can trigger the divine Self-Destruct of all three Demigod spirits at any moment, ensuring we all perish together.”
Hearing this, Kane’s gray eyes narrowed sharply.
He had already felt the terrifying power of three Demigod-level spiritual bodies during their last encounter.
Kane fell silent for three seconds, then threw his head back and laughed loudly. The sound shook the dome of the Destruction Temple, causing it to tremble.
Looking at Logan, the scrutiny in his eyes vanished, replaced by equal respect. “What a Lord of the Five Spirals! What a 81-star Legend stage! What a Logan! You are worthy of standing on equal ground with me. I acknowledge your equal status.”
“But I have one more condition!”
“You must promise that once you become a Demigod, you will help guard No. 53 Restricted Zone!”
Logan paused for a moment, then smiled. “So you’re sure I can break through to Demigod?”
Seeing the confusion in Logan’s eyes, knowing there were still blind spots in his cultivation path, Kane explained, “Logan, do you know what an 81 star Legend stage means?”
“When you break through the Saint stage at 81 stars, you’ll almost instantly reach the Pre-Demigod tier.”
“Also, while the Demigod stage might be a huge wall for other Saint-stage fighters, you won’t have a single obstacle in breaking through it.”
