People were leaving the room one by one, returning to their divisions or teams to deliver the news. Everyone left except for Alton, Wei Xi, Zhang Mengyao, Rosalie, and Cao Jingyi.
Cao Jingyi came over and apologized for her prejudice against him early in the meeting.
“I accept your apology. I know you are working hard to make the empire a better place to live. I know you want everything to revert back before the game where we resolve problems through discussion. That can never be achieved, you need power to make it happen. If you are weak, then no one is going to listen or have a discussion with you. That’s how it works now. The only way for us to get our peace back without outside force interference is to get strong so no one dares to attack us.”
“And believe me, there’s a force that seeks destruction, and they will not listen to our nonsense no matter how strong we are. You will find out once you get the report from Zhang Mengyao.”
Cao Jingyi nodded and left the room. He could sense that someone familiar was waiting outside the room, and he found out it was Kang Xue who was waiting for Cao Jingyi. Both got closer as they worked together to establish and develop the academy.
Tang Shaoyang put the matter behind and turned toward Zhang Mengyao, “How many resources do we have?”
“We found three gardens and one mine. We have abandoned all of them. There’s no one currently protecting or harvesting the resources,” Zhang Mengyao replied.
The gardens and the mine might not be beneficial to him directly, but he had seen what those resources could do for his people. A full set of strong armor and weapons made by the dwarves, and the potions that saved many of his people in the battle. They were crucial resources for his people.
Wei Xi opened a map and showed where all those resources were. The mine and the gardens were close to the city. It just did not show their resource points, but the other resources belonged to the Earth Alliance as well as the other three alliances.
“Before we get to the main show, we need people to watch the gate into our area in the city. Tell Lu An to watch the gate and make sure that no God Ranks from the three alliances enter our area,” Tang Shaoyang suddenly remembered the root of the war against the World Government.
The World Government brought the foreign force that ended up revealing Earth’s coordinates that led to an attack. He wanted to believe that no one was stupid enough to do it again for the second time. Still, he knew that desperate people would do everything to get what they wanted. If one or two God Ranks slipped into Earth, that would be bad, especially if they caught him by surprise.
Wei Xi, Alton, Zhang Mengyao, and Rosalie immediately understood what he said. Zhang Mengyao immediately sent a message to Lu An to move the Tang Empire Intelligence Division (TEID) to watch the gate.
“I have sent my shadows to locate the possible resources the three alliances have, and do you know how many resources they have?” Tang Shaoyang did not look at the map yet but looked at the four.
“The Gondar Alliance has taken eleven resource points, eight gardens, and three mines, and one of them is Mithril Mine. The Etherna Alliance has taken twenty resource points, and they have explored areas further where rare resources could be found. They have some magical crystal mines that I have never seen, and also two Cold Iron mines. The Valeur Empire has found fifteen resource points, and there are three mines that I can’t recognize.”
That was right, Tang Shaoyang had sent this shadow spirit to follow the people from the three alliances after the meeting with the United Sovereign and the United Alliance. Each alliance had its own area to explore, and most of them the alliance would not explore the area that had been explored by the other alliances because of their agreement.
The discovery left the four people speechless, not expecting that the three alliances had that many resources they did not share with the alliance despite the agreement. Meanwhile, The Earth Alliance followed the agreement stupidly.
“This is how I am going to start the show. I have identified the location for their rare mines and gardens, and I will attack those important places and bait them out,” He looked at the four, “The question is do you want to join? Now I think about it, it doesn’t really feel good trashing the Demi-God Rank. You can fight them if they come at me with their Demi-God Rank. Of course, I will help if they try to overwhelm you with numbers.”
“Of course, I will join you, Your Majesty. Even if you don’t ask me, I am going to convince you to bring me with you,” Alton responded enthusiastically to the invitation.
Earlier in the meeting, he was ashamed as the Vice Supreme Commander as he failed to show his own people that they had a strong military power that could support the empire regardless of the choice they made. However, deep inside, he unconsciously put himself on the weaker side, so he could not even voice support in the decision-making.
Then he heard The Emperor would come out to fight, by himself. That was another failure as a Vice Supreme Commander. What kind of commander would he be if he could not assist The Emperor in a war? What was the point of the Tarrior if they let The Emperor go into the battle by himself? Failing to do their duty meant they were a failure, and he was ashamed of that as it did not change as it happened when the factions from the first-dimensional tower invaded Earth for a takeover.
“I don’t want an army, only Demi-God Rank can join us.”

Matheo fumed as he returned from the meeting. The lower-born called him a moron and insulted him in front of his peers. He wanted to calm down, but the lower-born’s smug face kept appearing in his mind, and that only triggered him even more.
“Hubert!”
The door opened and a man that looked to be in his mid-fifties in a suit entered the room. He approached Matheo calmly, showing no expression, “What can I do for you, Young Master?”
Hubert was the man sent by Matheo’s father to assist Matheo in leading the people in this tower, and Matheo’s father was a brother to The Emperor of the Valuer Empire.
“We need to capture that insolent man who dared to insult a royalty of the Valuer Empire. I want him and his wives captured. I will teach him a lesson about the consequences of opposing the Valuer Empire!!” Matheo spoke in suppressed anger, but he made sure the order was clear. He wanted to wipe out the Tang Empire and torture The Emperor to appease his anger.
Hubert did not immediately respond this time, observing Matheo’s expression. Receiving the weirdly calming stare from Hubert helped Matheo to calm down a little bit.
“This time I have to agree with the Etherna Alliance’s opinion before we make a move against the Tang Empire, Young Master. There must be something that made Tang Shaoyang confident to oppose us, and we need to investigate him more. It’s not too late to make a move against them later on.”
That was the logical and safe move for them, without worrying about an unknown implication that might happen to The Valuer Empire from outside interference. Especially with the possibility of a connection between the Tang Empire and a clan in the Dragon Realm.
Matheo calmed down and had to agree with Hubert. If he failed to achieve the desired result in this tower, even his father could not save him from the punishment that awaited him. If he succeeded, he might get closer to the throne, and he might help his father’s future plan.
At this moment, a hurried knock resounded, loud and quick, indicating it might be an emergency. Before Matheo could tell the person on the other side to come in, someone opened the door, “There’s an emergency, Young Master. Sir Garnet and Sir Franck wish for your presence.”
Hubert and Matheo exchanged glances before following the servant out to their small meeting room. A round table with five seats and two of them were occupied by the two people who accompanied Matheo in the alliance meeting.
Matheo and Hubert immediately took their seats. That was right, Huber was one of the five God Ranks from the Valuer Empire despite his humble position as Matheo’s assistant.
“The Tang Empire is attacking and taking over our resource points!” The man who looked to be in his mid-thirties with blond hair told the emergency room, “They have taken ten resource points, and Madame Romane is bringing her people to check the situation.”
Matheo and Hubert were shocked to hear the emergency. They did not expect for the Tang Empire to make a move first before they did. It meant this was a war.
