Chapter 1988: Shopping Spree (2)
Tang Shaoyang thought it would be hard to buy Beast Spirits when Azhug told him about being lucky, but he found a lot of Beast Spirits in cages in each stall. Some stalls had five cages with five different Beast Spirits inside, while most of them only had one to three Beast Spirits.
“We should check the ones caught by the hunters, which are the stall. The ones sold by the established store would have a hard time living in our place since we are just starting. They will become moody and hard to manage, and it will be different if bought from the stalls. We can make them feel our barren Tang Garden as their home by giving them a new home that is safe and designing it to their liking.”
It made sense since the one sold by the established emporium was bred in their own world. It would take longer to make it comfortable and at home compared to the wild Beast Spirit.
They strolled over the troll, and he found all kinds of Beast Spirits. There was even an aquatic beast spirit, but he felt weird about one particular thing. The fact that the stalls were selling worm beast spirits in various sizes and colors.
“What’s wrong with the worm?”
“The hunters who sell the worm are trying to get quick money or to scam the newbie. Those worms are parasite-type Beast Spirits, and raising them is quite hard. They could also ruin the land depending on the type of worms.”
It was the first time for Azhug to have a negative comment about a Beast Spirit.
“I can do something about them, creating a specialized soil for them to live in if you want them. Does your daughter like worms, Sir?”
Tang Shaoyang waved his hand, “I don’t think they will like the worm since they already have a dragon. But I can ask them later, just plan something in case we want to add these worms.”
Azhug felt numb at how casually his boss mentioned his daughters already had a daughter. His boss used “they”, meaning he had more than one daughter, and each of them had a dragon. It made sense since their father was an Executive Administrator. As long as those dragons were not the Guardian Dragon’s descendants, it should not be hard for an Executive Administrator to obtain an ordinary dragon.
“I think I found something that your daughters might like, Sir.”
Tang Shaoyang followed where Azhug was looking, and he found a family of rabbits in a spacious cage. The rabbits had diamond-like fur, shining, and their heads were small but cute. Their eyes were like black pearls, their ears were also small yet fluffy, and the round tail made them adorable.
“Let’s get it, and you will be in charge of bargaining since I don’t know the market for a beast spirit.”
“Yes, Sir. But let’s not go directly to his stall, Sir,” Azhug brought his boss to explore the stall one by one, not to make it obvious the rabbit was their target. Because the stall owner could overcharge them if he knew what they were after.
Tang Shaoyang thought it was just a bargaining tactic from Azhug, but he was wrong after hearing what Azhug had to say.
“This is weird. The Diamonian Rabbit is a hot commodity. Even if there’s no Shepherd coming today to buy it, the emporium would want those. It could fetch a high price if they sell it to the nobility. Weirdly, it remains unsold.”
Tang Shaoyang recalled all kinds of Beast Spirits on the stall. The Diamonian Rabbit was the most stunning-looking Beast Spirit in the stall, yet no one tried to buy it. He observed the family of four rabbits and noticed that the bigger rabbit looked a little bit lifeless. He told Azhug what he found.
“It’s normal for these hunters to use poison to catch the Beast Spirit to avoid damaging them, especially for the kind like the Diamonian Rabbit. However, he should give the antidote right after catching them. The fact that they still looked poisoned means the hunter used the wrong poison to catch it.”
After a while, they eventually arrived at their target stall. Azhug pretended to be surprised to find out the Diamonian Rabbit while Tang Shaoyang put up his poker face.
“I don’t expect to find a family of Diamonian rabbits here,” The Ogre approached the cage enthusiastically while the stall owner stood with an excited smile as well. The owner was a man of the human race, wearing his linen cloth, and matching the Ogre’s enthusiasm.
“You know your stuff, Sir. This is indeed the Diamonian Rabbit, a rare collection for…” He pretended to look back and forth between the Ogre and Tang Shaoyang. He could tell who the boss was.
“Ah, yes. My name is Azhug, and he is my boss. He is new and wants to add more to our menagerie…”
Azhug handed his identification card, which showed zero transactions, and the stall owner also gave his identification card. It was a normal thing to do to exchange identification cards. Tang Shaoyang got to see it as well when Azhug handed it to him.

The owner focused on Azhug and spoke louder than usual, ensuring Tang Shaoyang heard everything he said. He was trying to sell out his Beast Spirit, telling how rare and beautiful the beast spirit was. He did not even forget the superstitious story behind the rabbit, how it could bring good luck, and so on.
“I only sell them as a family, as it’s cruel to sell them separately, Sir. If you want to buy them, you have them all. The parents are 5 million each, and the young ones are 8 million each!”
Azhug made a troubled expression when he heard the price. Then he pretended to get away from the owner to have a talk with Tang Shaoyang. They literally said nothing, but Azhug made an exaggerated gesture, making the stall owner think that he was trying to convince Tang Shaoyang to buy the rabbit.
Azhug returned with a solemn look on his face, “I know my boss is new, but you can’t scam like that, Sir. It will be bad for your business. We agree to take them all if you agree to sell them at market price.”
“What do you mean? The last Diamonian Rabbit’s cub is sold for 8 million in an auction. I am selling them at market price.”
Azhug shook his head disapprovingly, “It’s because the one sold in the auction is the battle-type of Diamonian Rabbit, and this one is not a battle-type. Because this is not a battle-type, you must sell them as a whole because they will get depressed if they get separated. Severe depression could kill them. My boss might be new in the field, but I know my stuff, sir.”
