Chapter 1989: Shopping Spree (3)
The stall owner’s face went red, realizing that he was talking to an expert in the field. He thought he could get easy money by selling them to a new and rich Shepherd.
“The parents are worth 1.5 million each, and the cubs are worth 3 million each. So it’s 9 million for the family of a Diamonian Rabbit,” Azhug stated his price, and the stall owner’s face turned ugly.
The stall owner pretended to make a troubled face for a while before responding, “10 million, Sir. The Diamonian Rabbit is not just rare, but they are hard to catch. Even the big emporium offered me 9.5 million, Sir. Give me 10 mil, and I will sell them to you.”
Azhug shook his head, “You still try to deceive us, Sir. I know the emporium well, and they are not offering you 9.5 million for the Diamonian Rabbit. I believe they are offering you around 7-8 million at most.”
He came next to the cage and pointed at the parents, “Look at the parents. They look sick even after you captured them. It means you are using dubious poison to catch them. From the condition, the chance of them surviving is lower than 50%. If the parents die, the chances of the children surviving are also low, as they could die from depression.”
The Ogre confronted the human face-to-face, “You should be glad that we are offering you the market price because the emporium will never buy this for the market price. We are taking a gamble here, Sir. If not for my boss’s daughter’s birthday coming soon, we would not take this gamble.”
When all the facts were pointed out by Azhug, the stall owner let out a defeated sigh. He realized that the Ogre might be more than just an expert to have all this information.
Tang Shaoyang made his first transaction, and he did not use the money from the treasury; he took it directly from his pocket. He paid 9 million for a family of a Diamonian Rabbit.
“You are right about the emporium offering me low. In fact, they offered me much lower than the market price. The Gosthone Emporium offered me 4 million because their chance of survival is low, and the Cladeos Emporium offered me 6 million for the price of the cub. If I can’t sell them by tomorrow, I was planning to sell them to the Cladeos Emporium.”
Azhug was surprised when he heard this from the stall owner and frowned. The emporium should be able to cure whatever poison the parents have with all the high-level facilities they have.
“Can’t they heal the parents?”
Aidan shook his head, “The Doctors found traces of an unknown energy that acts as a severe poison in their system. It will be hard to find the cure if what poisoned them is an unknown energy. I also get scammed by the Alchemist. I never meant to harm them.”
Azhug let out a sigh as well, but he trusted Elnar. He hoped Elnar could cure whatever poisoned the Diamonian Rabbit. Realizing he was on a timer, he immediately brought Tang Shaoyang to stroll the market while carrying the cage on his shoulder.
With the Diamonian Rabbit, they needed to buy eight more Beast Spirits to fulfill the number of Beast Spirits for a three-star reputation rating.
They ended up buying eight more Beast Spirits in an hour. Two of them were called Grounded Wombats. The red-brown colored fur wombat was worth 500k each, much cheaper than the rabbit and easier to take care of as well.
The last six Beast Spirits were aquatic Beast Spirits, a Koi. It was a rainbow-colored Koi, and one of them, the biggest one, was black, white, and orange, with long whiskers. They were pleasant to look at, and for some reason, it was calming as well.
Each of them was worth 1 million, and the biggest one was worth 3 million. He paid them all in one go. Fortunately, Meadow and Lavender finished their business for the last purchase because they needed more hands to carry the Beast Spirit.
Azhug had two cages on his shoulder, one for the rabbit and the second for the Grounded Wombat. Meadow and Lavender each hold a bag with a Koi inside. Tang Shaoyang also held two bags, and they finished their shopping spree and returned to the Tang Garden.
Azhug carefully put the cage down from his shoulders and was about to rush to the Beast Spirit Medical Hub with the cage of a family Diamonian Rabbit. He needed Elnar to see the rabbit before it got worse, but Tang Shaoyang stopped him.
“I have to bring them immediately to Elnar, Sir. We can’t wait any longer before it gets worse!” He did not even look at his boss when he spoke and put more force to break free from his boss, but quickly realized how firm the grip was.
“Calm down and listen to me, Azhug!” The voice was filled with authority, and the Ogre listened.
“Put them down!”
The Ogre put the cage down.
Tang Shaoyang’s hand went past the cage and reached the rabbit’s parents. The cubs took it as a threat and bit his hand, but he let them bite his hand. Their teeth could not even leave a red mark on his skin.
At the same time, Azhug closed his eyes, not willing to see what happened. He thought his boss wanted to give a quick end to the rabbit parents since they could not be healed. He wanted to persuade his boss to bring them to Elnar, but he could not do so because of the authority behind his boss’s voice.
It was so quick until he heard his boss’s voice again, “Now open your eyes and bring them to Elnar. We need to nurse them back, and they will be fine.”
Azhug opened his eyes and found the rabbit’s parents were still alive. He could not see the difference either and was confused about what had happened. However, he quickly snapped out and immediately took the cage with him to bring them to Elnar.
