Ouyang Biya adapted as the fight continued on. She started to get used to the mage’s unexpected attack that could come from anywhere. Another thing she realized about mages was that they were utilizing elemental attacks most of the time. Unless she prepared a defensive formation, she should never block or meet it head-on.
While she could redirect most of the attack with Gentle Flow, some of the elementals were still affecting her. The thunder that transferred the shock through her sword slowed her down slightly. Then there was also the ice element that stiffened her movement as well.
Ouyang came up with several plans to fight them, but she could never apply her plan because of their teamwork. That was the most frustrating part of fighting these five figures. They never overwhelmed her with their attacks. They always took a turn; one or two attacked her, and the remaining three would cover for the two.
Every time she almost got one of them, her attempt would be thwarted in a crucial moment. It was like they were using one of their friends as bait to get her. She always had to give up her attack because of that.
The fight continued for an hour, and she never got to use her best attack. At the same time, she was safe most of the time. Her life was threatened by this fight, and this was bad for her, for her people. These five were not only her enemy, but there were more of them.
The fight with these faceless figures brought her away from her people, and she had no choice but to follow their rhythm. She was forced to follow their lead because she was given no chance to make a breakthrough or an attack.
This was the most frustrating fight in her life. She felt like it would be much better if she just lost the fight than getting dragged helplessly. As if they were toying with her, which reminded her of the skeleton’s words earlier.
’It’s gathering data about me, huh? But why? Why does it want data about me?’
The thought of a skeleton gathering data about her was quite unsettling. What did it want to use the data for?
’Focus, Ouyang Biya! It doesn’t matter what it wants to use it for if you can’t survive. You just need to hold a little bit longer for reinforcement.’
She believed the reinforcement would come to save her. It meant the others could be saved as well. She just needed to hold it a little bit longer until the reinforcement arrived.

The Heaven Founder could not afford to lose her and more people when they were close to launching the Grand Plan, which was to conquer the Sacred Realm, taking the Sacred Realm from the Murim Alliance. She regained her focus, but then she realized that her enemies were no longer attacking her. She snapped out and found five of them regrouped instead of spreading and trying to attack her from all angles. Her instinct told her this was not good. Her enemies showed a new pattern that she did not know.
Ouyang Biya turned toward the skeleton who was currently speaking to her target, Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang. That was when she realized that the two women were not on his side anymore. The woman who interfered with the portal gate was not here.
She thought she might be able to use her artifact to create a portal back to the Sacred Realm. However, there were no reactions from the artifact, meaning the interference remained here. She was still in range of the interference. Her ears perked up, overhearing the conversation between the skeleton and Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang.
“You delay us from finishing my mission by playing around, Vandir. If you are not going to finish the fight, then I will!” That was Tang Shaoyang’s voice, and it seemed like he was a little bit upset about the fight.
The fight indeed had been in a stalemate for an hour or maybe over an hour already. She could not really tell since she was busy defending herself. They gave her no chance to think or rest.
“Just give me another hour, Boss. I need more data about them.”
“Your time is up, Vandir. The others have finished their fight, and we are waiting for you to finish this. You can also get the data you want when you turn them into one of your minions, no?”
Ouyang Biya’s eyes widened in realization. It had been more than an hour, and she had forgotten about her people. She focused on her fight that she forgot about them. She tried to look for her people with her energy and found out that only four people were alive. They were her direct subordinates, half of the True God Realm she brought here under the Supreme Guardian Kong’s order.
The order was not to let the Tang Family get the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s inheritance. If she could not retrieve the inheritance, then she was ordered to kill the target.
That was also the main reason she volunteered to take the job. The Tang Empire played a big role in the fall of the Ouyang Family. Their poisons were used to kill half of the Ouyang Family’s force, which was why the Ouyang Family fell so easily.
She would not allow the Tang Family to get the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s Grandmaster Codex. That would make the Tang Family and the Murim Alliance grow even more powerful. At this point, she realized that she might not be able to retrieve the codex, and the reinforcement might not come in time as well.
That only left her with one job: to get rid of the codex, meaning she must kill Tang Shaoyang. The five faceless figures remained standing motionlessly. This was her chance to get rid of all of them at once.
Ouyang Biya shot to the sky, risking herself to be the target of the skeleton that shot a strange beam from far away. She was ready to risk her life in order to kill Tang Shaoyang. It would be a worthy sacrifice.
Her internal energy burst out as she pointed her sword upward, holding it with her two hands. Her energy formed the closed bud blood-colored cherry blossoms, more than fifty of them formed in the sky, facing upside down. Then the blood-cherry blossomed and opened its petals, blossoming in bright red.
The blood-red sword started to come out from the center of the cherry blossom. The sword was around six meters in width and twenty meters in length, facing upside down. More importantly, the swords were pointed in two different directions: Tang Shaoyang and the five faceless figures.
Ouyang Biya poured all her internal energy into her family’s famed technique that brought the Ouyang Family into their former glory. It was a Divine Grade Technique created by her ancestor.
