Armipotent - Chapter 2033: Never Too Much

Chapter 2033: Never Too Much
The Joes followed Kate to a quieter training ground with just them inside, listening to what Kate and her husband were doing back there. She explained the best way possible with the limited information she had. She did not know how much this cultivation could affect someone’s battle power.
For the Joes, the cultivation was important information, but there was something even more important: the Thousand Vows Pavilion. It would be part of the Tang Academy since it would teach cultivation, but it was also different. Instead of a branch of fighting in the academy, the Thousand Vows Pavilion was directly under the Emperor’s order. It was more like a separate division instead.
John, who used to be a leader of a mercenary company, saw this as a chance. The Thousand Vows Pavilion might be their chance to rise in the Tang Empire.
“I see… It’s like a new class, but the System doesn’t recognize it as a class. The progress is also different; you need actual training and dedication instead of killing monsters to level up,” Cody summed it up. He was more interested in the cultivation itself than the Thousand Vows Pavilion.
Cody thought differently from John. His thought was that as long as he had the power, it would be just a matter of time for them to be recognized.
“Can we join the Thousand Vows Pavilion?” Amy revealed her desire to join for a different reason. She wanted to work directly under Kate and her husband. She trusted them more than others, and it gave him a sense of security.
The other three took this as a chance as well. They had an anticipated look while waiting for Kate’s reply.
“You can, but not now. The Thousand Vows Pavilion only exists by name for now, and the first selection is more of a selection. I think the one who advances in their cultivation would be chosen to be the leader of the Thousand Vows Pavilion. But there might be a second selection, I’m not sure. If there’s a second selection, and it’s open for everyone, I will inform you guys.”
Amy zoomed up and hugged Kate. She was grateful that Kate was willing to extend her hand to them. There was no need for Kate to go this far for them. Especially after the People Party’s incident.

Tang Shaoyang met with Zhang Mengyao and Li Na on the twenty-second floor. Using the information from Tang Shaoyang, they quickly climbed up and caught up with Tang Shaoyang within just a month. Thankfully, Zhang Mengyao was here; he handed the Reds Mercenary Company to Zhang Mengyao.
He met with Aella once more; the latter was quite anxious to meet him. The Reds Mercenary Company’s growth was astonishing, and that was because of Tang Shaoyang’s contribution to putting Volans as a Monarch. The Sorcerer Monarch assisted the Red Mercenary Company more than they needed.
Aella was concerned when she found out that Tang Shaoyang would no longer visit the Dimensional Tower. She was worried that the other mercenary companies would prey on them. The dominion also would not stay still after its loss.
The Reds Mercenary Company would be the dominion’s main target, but her concerns washed away when Tang Shaoyang pointed at the two small black dragons that followed Li Na. After assuring Aella and the others in the Reds Mercenary Company, he stayed inside the Dimensional Tower one more day, continuing his climb.
Tang Shaoyang hoped that the Ancient Dimensional Tower would give him some challenge or a reward that was worth his time. He cleared the 23rd, 24th, and 25th floors before calling it a quit. The Ancient Dimensional Tower truly wasn’t worth his time. This convinced him that the next tower would be the God Rank Dimensional Tower.
For that to happen, Tang Shaoyang needed to prepare for the next world congress. At this point, the relationship between the Tang Empire and the other factions was strained. He made it clear that there was no need to help them anymore because these factions kept acting like parasites, trying to take advantage of their help.
This was where his vassals would play a big role. Their votes mattered in the World Congress, and they must start the preparation from now. This was the reason why he didn’t absorb his vassal into his faction right away.
Another business was done. Zhang Mengyao would take charge of recruiting the people from the Dimensional Tower. They had a lot of uninhabited territories. The Game took more than half of Earth’s population for sure.

Sunday arrived, and they would spend their weekend shopping, or to be more exact, they planned to buy more Beast Spirits to fill the Tang Garden.
More people joined the trip aside from Li Shuang, Kang Xue, Delia, Aleesa, Ava, and Sylvia. Elin, Selena, and Arina decided to join at the last moment. Then Viona and her nine-year-old daughter, Cecilia, also joined.
Tang Shaoyang had talked it out with Viona about her children from her previous marriage. The former noble lady finally agreed to let her children know she was one of the Emperor’s wives. Her son, Tobias Abel Rosikh, had a suspicion and was not surprised when his mother decided to be honest.
Her son looked indifferent, but Viona could tell Tobias still could not accept Tang Shaoyang as his father’s replacement. However, Cecilia was different as she accepted Tang Shaoyang. She was curious about her mother’s husband and wanted to meet him.
That was why Viona wanted to join the shopping. It would make the situation less awkward with more people. That would help Cecilia as well. Of course, Viona and Tang Shaoyang had a prior agreement regarding Viona’s children with her previous husband.
They agreed that both children would inherit their biological father’s name and keep it. Viona hoped Tobias and Cecilia would rebuild the Rosikh House. Tang Shaoyang agreed, nothing unreasonable. In fact, the Rosikh House would be one of the Tang Empire’s forces. He was not going to reject the proposal.
“Hello, Cecilia~” Tang waved at the girl who inherited her mother’s hazel eyes. She was hiding behind her mother’s legs, peeking at Tang Shaoyang curiously. Her eyes locked on Tang Shaoyang’s left eye, the black eye.
The girl gathered her courage and stepped out of her mother’s legs. She put her hand on her chest and bowed, “Hello. My name is Cecilia Bree Rosikh. Nice to meet you.”
“Ow. As expected of Sister Viona’s daughter. She’s so well-mannered,” Selena waved her hand at the girl with a wide smile, trying to make her more comfortable around them.
Cecilia actually recognized most of the women. She knew Kang Xue, Elin, Li Shuang, and Ava. She also knew Li Jiaying, Li Yue, and Tang Xiulan. The three were recognized as cool kids in the school. Especially with three small dragons that kept following them. She was jealous of them because they had a cute dragon.
After scanning the people, Cecilia unexpectedly approached Tang Shaoyang and asked, “Are you my new father?” Her question threw everyone who heard off. It was an innocent yet blunt question.
Tang Shaoyang was surprised for a moment, but then squatted in front of Cecilia. He was about to say yes until Tang Xiulan ran at them, standing between Cecilia and Tang Shaoyang with her arms open.
“No! Daddy is my Daddy!” Her voice was loud and clear, and it was unexpected to hear from Tang Xiulan, considering Li Jiaying and Li Xue also called Tang Shaoyang Daddy, and the little girl did not mind it.
Cecilia was shocked and confused. She kept looking back and forth between Tang Shaoyang and Tang Xiulan. “But… but…”
Tang Shaoyang scooped her daughter up, “My… my…” He was honestly happy with Tang Xiulan’s reaction, but he must explain it correctly for her to understand.
“I am your Daddy, but Daddy is also Cecilia’s Daddy.”
Tang Xiulan furrowed her brow, confused, “But…”
Tang Shaoyang cut her and pointed at Viona, who wore a white dress, “Who is she?”
“Mommy Viona,” Tang Xiulan answered innocently.
“And Mommy Viona is Cecilia’s Mommy, and Mommy Viona is Daddy’s wife. So Daddy is also Cecilia’s Daddy.”
Tang Xiulan put her hand on her chin, thinking hard, “Ah! Cecilia is Xiulan’s big sister!”
Tang Shaoyang put Tang Xiulan down, “So what do you have to say to your sister?”
Tang Xiulan looked up at Cecilia, taking a step forward before bowing her head, “Xiulan, sorry for yelling at Sister Cecilia. Xiulan thought Cecilia wanted to take Daddy from Xiulan. I am sorry for yelling.”
Tang Shaoyang was happy and proud of her daughter. She apologized without him telling her to. She knew she was wrong and apologized. When he heard the second part, his heart melted. Her daughter was healing him after what happened with the People Party. The disappointment toward his own people disappeared, replaced by joy.
Cecilia was confused for a moment, but Tang Xiulan could not really read the awkwardness in her sister. She pulled Cecilia and dragged her to meet Li Jiaying and Li Yue, as well as the dragons and Glodden. Tang Xiulan introduced the dragons and her sister to her new sister. At this point, they let the children handle the children’s matter.
“Do we have more baby dragons? We should give one for Cecilia as well,” Tang Shaoyang asked Kang Xue in a whisper. Through Absolute Sense, he could pick up Cecilia’s feelings. She was jealous and wanted a pet like the trio.
“You should ask Kalliyan. She’s the one in charge of the dragon eggs. But I remember it will take some time for another egg to hatch.”
