Chapter 2034: Bonding Experiences (1)
Today was the day for Azhug to make a good impression on the Lady Boss and the Young Ladies. The Ogre could tell how much his boss cared for his family. Getting to his boss’s family’s good side might bring an unexpected surprise for his future. Who knew the Lady Boss might persuade The Boss to let them contract their Beast Spirit earlier?
With that in mind, the Ogre kept reminding his workers, especially Lavender, who was not good with children.
Meadow, Lavender, and Liora were waiting for their Boss’s arrival in the management building. The trio looked at the nervous Chief Caretaker, walking back and forth at the door. He would peek out through the small gap in the door after a period of time.
Mead shook her head helplessly. She agreed that they needed to make a good impression with the Lady Boss, but the Ogre’s reaction was unnecessary.
On top of that, they would know if someone entered the Tang Garden, whether it was the owner or an intruder. They would sense someone coming. Sometimes Mead was jealous of Elnar’s indifference. The Troll only cared for the Beast Spirit.
Azhug suddenly halted his steps, and the trio also turned toward the outside of the building. There was something they learned after doing the jobs for years. It was the arrival of teleportation.
If the Boss brought the same people, the group would be teleported to the management center. If they were teleported outside, it meant the Boss brought new people.
Azhug snapped toward his workers, looking confused. He did not know who the new people were, and he didn’t know how to act.
Meadow was truly helpless with Azhug’s antics. Sometimes she questioned herself whether it was the right thing to do to have Azhug as their leader. At this point, Elnar might do a better job than the Azhug.
Azhug was not like this before working with the boss. The Ogre she knew was confident and dependable, especially at a moment like this. He had been acting like this after they found out their boss’s identity as the Executive Administrator. It got worse when they discovered that their boss casually owned not just one, but multiple dragons.
“Just act normal as usual, Azhug. They might not like you if you do something weird!” Meadow nudged the Dryad, hoping she would say something to calm Azhug. However, Lavender was just as nervous as Azhug.
“Don’t look at me, Mead. I don’t want to be here in the first place; don’t put any annoying work on me.”
Liora had always been like this. She cared for formality, but remained indifferent. Meadow sometimes thought that becoming a healer was the reason why they became so indifferent.
“What are you guys doing? Get up and greet them!” Azhug completely filtered their conversation and hurried them to greet their boss.

Tang Shaoyang was glad that Cecilia accepted him well, and in fact, she seemed to have a curiosity for her new father. That was a good sign for their future bond as father and daughter. However, she was more reserved in the presence of Tang Xiulan, Li Jiaying, and Li Yue.
He thought of spending more time with Cecilia to get to know the girl more, but he realized it would be better to make Cecilia comfortable around Xiulan, Jiaying, and Yue.
As soon as they arrived, Tang Xiulan was looking around, “Where’s Elnar?” Jiaying and Yue had the same reaction. They were looking for the gentle giant, “I want to introduce Cecil to Elnar, Daddy!”
Tang Shaoyang could sense where Elnar was. He pointed at the medical building. It seemed a Diamonian Rabbit baby was sick. He could see Elnar was tending the little rabbit from the side.
“You only have five minutes, Xiulan. Or I will leave you,” He reminded her daughter.
“Okay~ I just want to introduce Cecil to Elnar,” Tang Xiulan dragged Cecilia, who looked helpless. She tried to look at her mother, asking for help. It seemed like she could not handle Xiulan’s energy.
Lilliana, Glodden, and the three baby dragons followed them.
However, Viona was aware that this might be the best for her daughter. This was her daughter’s chance to get closer to her husband’s daughter, so they would be more comfortable with each other quickly.
Tang Shaoyang then brought his family to the management building. He also wanted to introduce them to his workers, who would take care of their chosen Beast Spirit later.
Before they could reach the building, they heard a cry from the other side where the children were. Tang Shaoyang’s figure instantly blurred, moving toward the medical building. He could check on them with his Chaos Eyes, but he chose to check in person.
Tang Shaoyang appeared in front of the medical building. Cecilia was on the ground. Xiulan was confused as to why Cecilia was crying. Jiaying and Yue tried their best to calm the crying Cecilia. Meanwhile, Elnar was standing at the door, also confused about what to do.
Elnar wanted to calm Cecil as well, assuring her that he was not a bad monster. But he knew very well that it would make the situation worse.
He did not need to ask what happened; he could picture it in his head. They forgot to tell Cecilia that Elnar was a Troll. Cecilia, who came from the Ortis Continent, knew what kind of monster a Troll was. She was terrified, especially of a Troll with Elnar’s size.
“What’s wrong?” Tang Shaoyang asked while approaching them.
Cecilia immediately got up and ran toward Tang Shaoyang, hiding behind him while hugging his thigh. She was still sobbing, but not as loudly as before, eyeing the confused Troll behind her father.
Tang Shaoyang picked up Cecilia while Xiulan walked to her father, “I don’t know… Sister Cecil started crying when we met Elnar.”
“Ah… It’s Daddy’s fault,” He tapped his forehead, “I should have told Cecil that Elnar is a Troll.”
“But why?” Tang Xiulan did not understand. As far as she knew, Elnar was a good Troll.
“Where Sister Cecil comes from, most of the Trolls are bad. They eat people,” That was the best explanation he could come up with for his three-year-old daughter. Cecilia nodded her head repeatedly, “Troll is a bad monster.”
Tang Xiulan was upset by what her father and Cecilia said about Troll. It was the same as calling Elnar bad, and she did not like it.
That was when Tang Shaoyang realized that they might need to educate his daughter about monsters, most of whom were murderous and killed people. Even though the chance of Tang Xiulan meeting a wild Troll by herself was less than one percent, if that happened, he could imagine what would happen.
“However, Mr. Elnar is special; he is a good Troll who loves pets. He is a gentle giant,” Tang Shaoyang added as he brought Cecil closer to Elnar. He could feel Cecil’s body tensing up, and he rubbed her palm with his finger, calming her down.
“Look. You can touch him, and Elnar will not hurt us,” Tang Shaoyang placed his hand on Elnar’s forearm, and Elnar had a genuine smile.
There were all kinds of races in the Tang Empire. People had gotten used to living with them with no fear, but there was no Troll among them.
“You can also touch him,” He told Cecil, but she immediately shook her head, still frightened.
“Oh, do you know that Mr. Elnar is the Doctor of our pets here?”
Elnar made eye contact with Tang Shaoyang, and he took the hint and brought them inside the building. Meanwhile, Tang Shaoyang waved his hand to Viona and the others, telling them not to interfere. This was his chance to get closer to Cecil.
Li Shuang brought them to meet Azhug and friends while he followed Elnar to the medical building. There was a sleeping Diamonian Rabbit inside an incubation. The Diamonian Rabbit was not only healed and safe, but they also became healthier. The color of the fur and its growing size were proof of it.
Cecil’s eyes shone brightly, completely stopped sobbing. Her attention was on the sleeping rabbit, and her mouth opened slightly.
Tang Xiulan, Li Jiaying, and Li Yue climbed on Elnar, and the Troll ended up picking them up and putting them on his shoulders. The trio looked at the sleeping Diamonian Rabbit worriedly.
“Why is Nomi sleeping?” Tang Xiulan asked.
Elnar was impressed that Tang Xiulan recognized the sick Diamonian Rabbit was Nomi. He introduced the Diamonian Rabbit and told them their names. But they needed more than that to recognize each of the Diamonian rabbits as how similar they looked.
“Nomi is sick because she ate something she should not have eaten. She is fine and just needs a rest. I still need to monitor her a little bit to make sure she is fine, and she will return to her mother by tomorrow…”
Elnar started to explain what happened to Nomi to the curious Xiulan, Jiaying, and Yue. Cecil perked up and listened attentively. She looked at the Diamonian Rabbit sadly when she heard Nomi’s condition yesterday.
Noticing Sister Cecilia took an interest, Xiulan snapped, “Let’s—”
Xiulan could not finish her words because Elnar covered her mouth, “Don’t speak too loudly, or you will wake Nomi up. Nomi is still sleeping, and she needs a lot of rest.”
Xiulan went with “Ah”, then she continued the sentence in an adorable whisper, “Let’s meet Nomi’s mommy, sister, and brother.”
Cecilia was certainly interested, but Tang Shaoyang cut them off, “We don’t have time for the tour. Let’s visit the market first, don’t you want to choose the Beast Spirits to stay here with you all? And if we do the tour later, you have more playing time with them.”
Cecilia was excited when Xiulan wanted to bring her to meet Nomi’s family. She was disappointed at first, but then she got excited again as she remembered why she was here. They were here to choose the next cute pets to stay in the garden. She had not seen the garden yet, and she had a high expectation, especially after meeting Nomi.
Xiulan, Jiaying, and Yue’s eyes brightened, “Let’s visit the market first, then!”
