Armipotent - Chapter 2037: Meeting Acquaintance

Chapter 2037: Meeting Acquaintance
This was the reason why Azhug hated the big emporium. These people were not reliable, and more often, they did whatever they wanted just because they could get away with it. He had seen that, the clerk showed him the two available boxes, and asked him which one he wanted. But that box disappeared in five minutes, less than five minutes in fact.
If it was he who visited the auction, he did not care if the box was taken. But this was different because he was acting on behalf of his Boss. They did this by humiliating his boss, and he could not accept it.
“I have seen and checked the box myself. I don’t see why it’s suddenly not available.”
The manager did not expect that a nobody like Azhug would dare to question them like this. He was kind enough to give a refund, but this Ogre was overreaching.
“As I said, my employee made a mistake, and I am here to make things right, which is to refund your booking money. We can’t give you something that is not available.”
Tang Shaoyang had a guess about what had happened, and this thing might be related to Alfred. This man was petty enough that he might try to get back at them with something like this to recover his hurt pride. By doing this, he didn’t give Tang Shaoyang a justification to beat him.
He thought of taking the refund and took the public seat. He was not going to escalate over something stupid like this, but his Chief Caretaker had a different idea.
“Then we will bring this issue to the overseers,” Azhug wanted to involve the problem with the people who managed this place. The Beast Spirit Alliance was a space under the System’s laws, meaning everyone in it must follow the established law made by the System, something similar to the rule of the Dimensional Tower.
How were the overseers chosen? No one actually knew how, but those people were already here when this place was first established. The difference between the Dimensional Tower and this place was that the overseers had absolute power.
The Manager’s face turned ugly after hearing Azhug’s words. He did not expect the Ogre to know how the stuff worked around. If the overseer was involved, meaning their business would be halted, which meant they must delay their auction as well. That would be a disaster, considering the important guests who made time to visit their emporium had to wait more than they needed.
“I will give you compensation, but I can’t really give you the VIP room. I will give you ten percent of your deposited money as compensation. That’s the best I can get you.”
Azhug Oogurim was mad when the manager further insulted them. It was clearly not about the money, and adding those ten percent would make them like a beggar who tried to make a fuss over the money.
When he tried to dissuade his boss from taking the VIP room, he did not think clearly. But on the way to the Cladeos Emporium, he understood why his boss wanted the VIP room. After their altercation with Alfred, it was indeed better to have a private room.
Who knew these insufferable assholes would do something that might harm the young ladies just because they thought they were above the others? The chance of that happening was high, considering his boss did not like flaunting his status as the Executive Administrator.
As a new Executive Administrator, his boss’s face was not known to many, and his name was hard for them to remember. These people would cause a big disaster by making trouble for their boss. He would estimate that the chance of it happening was about fifty percent, considering how Alfred almost became a victim.
“I don’t care about money, and since you don’t want to give what you promised, then I have to call the overseer to make the judgment.”
The manager’s complexion paled as he subconsciously glanced toward Alfred’s direction. He asked Alfred how to handle this. If Alfred shook his head, he might have to give up the VIP room for the Ogre. However, if Alfred agreed to help him with the overseer, then they truly might get away with it.
The overseer would side with the two biggest emporiums in this place rather than a nobody group. That was what he believed.
“Who caused a problem in my place!?” A stern feminine voice rang in the lobby.
The manager’s eyes widened in fright as he immediately scurried his way toward the voice.
“I am sorry for my inadequacy, Young Lady. I will resolve the issue quickly.”
“What’s the problem? I don’t want an overseer to get involved and have the auction delayed. What’s happening?” A lady wearing a green dress came into sight.
Alfred immediately made his way toward the lady and bowed his head, “Hello, Young La—” His voice was cut off because he saw the young lady walk past him.
To everyone’s surprise, the young lady who seemed to have a high position in the emporium approached the Ogre’s group.
The manager thought the young lady might know the ogre, but he was wrong. The young lady approached the man who was carrying his daughter.
“I finally found you!”
Tang Shaoyang was as surprised as Elonia. He was not expecting to meet her here. He thought Elonia might be managing a different establishment.
“Are you looking for me?” He was surprised to hear that from her. He did not think they made any promises or anything. Their relationship was limited to the business.
“Of course. You are a sensation. I would say you are now a celebrity. People are looking for you, whether they want to make a connection or…” She stopped herself from finishing her swords, looking at the girl in Tang Shaoyang’s hand and the three girls who sat on the troll. It was inappropriate to say that people were looking for their father to kill him. She knew when to stop.
The manager’s face got ugly the moment the young lady recognized the man. From their conversation, he could tell the man was important for her to search for him. Alfred had the same reaction, and he could not help but glance at Azhug. He still remembered the Druid told him not to mess with the new boss.
“By the way, what’s the problem?” Elonia asked Tang Shaoyang, and the latter motioned to Azhug to tell Elonia what happened.
“That’s easy then, you can join me in my private booth if you are okay with me intruding on your family’s excursion. If you want to be more private, I can make it happen as well.”
Tang Shaoyang did not immediately say yes, asking his wives, and they agreed not to cause trouble here. They took the offer to sit together with Elonia.
“Guide them to our Beast Spirit’s collections until the auction starts and give them a twenty percent discount if they are interested in buying,” Elonia called the two female employees who stood behind the manager. Then she pointed at the manager, “And you will return the money to him.”
The manager followed the instruction and transferred the money back to Azhug right away, losing his air of arrogance, following the order meekly.
“We will continue our conversation in the booth later. Enjoy the tour in my establishment until the auction. I would like to give you a tour myself, but I need to resolve some of the problems that I overlooked.”
“Alright,” Tang Shaoyang followed the employee, taking the stairs to the upper floor. He overheard Alfred’s voice, asking: “Who are you?”. He, of course, ignored the question.
“You!” Elonia pointed at her manager, “You follow me to the office!”
*** ***
Elonia was smiling and calm on the outside, but she was nervous and frightened inside. Thanks to all the training that was instilled in her by her family, she could keep her composure and resolve the problem before it became too big. And all of that because of a manager in this establishment.
She flung the door open and let the manager enter before slamming it down as hard as she could. She truly needed to vent out her anger to calm down.
“Do you know the man’s name I greeted in the lobby?” Elonia did not immediately lash out at her employee.
The manager lowered his head, trying to recall the name, but he did not remember. The moment Alfred made a call, he did not think twice to give the private room to Alfred since Alfred was representing the Gosthone Emporium. No one could beat the Gosthone Emporium’s status in this place. At least, he thought so.
Elonia truly did her best not to slap the manager, taking a deep breath. Then someone knocked on the door, and a female employee entered the office. It was the employee who handled the booking for Tang Shaoyang’s group. She brought a booking card in her hand since she was asking for it.
Maybe, just maybe, Tang Shaoyang used his Chief Caretaker’s name to book the room. Then it made sense why the manager tried to give that room to someone else. She checked the name on the card.
[Tang Shaoyang of Tang Garden]
For a moment, Elonia’s head was clouded in anger, and she kicked the manager in the belly. That sent the manager flying backward and slamming into the wall. The female employee was frightened because this was the first time that Lady Elonia had gotten violent like this.
The manager was holding his stomach in pain, but Elonia threw the card in his face. This was also the manager’s first time to face Elonia’s violent side. He was curious what kind of person could get Elonia like this. He checked the card, and he still did not recognize the name.
’Tang Shaoyang? Who is he?’
Elonia had the urge to kick the manager once more, and she wanted to kick him in the face, almost.
“You…” She shook her head, “How long have you been a manager in this place?
The manager was getting more nervous, but he still answered, “7 years.”
“You are new, huh? Then you should talk about our emporium priority list, right?”
The manager nodded and immediately checked the priority list. He did remember that a new name was added to the list recently. He read it once, but he forgot that new name. His heartbeat was getting faster and faster as he opened the list.
There he found Tang Shaoyang in the list, and that was not the worst part. The worst part was the actual identity of Tang Shaoyang, an Executive Administrator. Now he remembered the new Executive Administrator. The blunder continued because there was a clear instruction on what to do when Tang Shaoyang visited their establishment.
The instruction was to call Lady Elonia because it was said that Lady Elonia knew the Executive Administrator personally. Lady Elonia was here to join the auction because there was a Beast Spirit she wanted. Mistakes after mistakes piling up, and the manager knew he was done for.
