Armipotent - Chapter 2038: Business Proposal

Chapter 2038: Business Proposal
The incident was quickly forgotten when they were shown. Li Shuang, Selena, Arina, and Delia found what they were interested in among the collections. However, they did not get it right away because they wanted to check the auction first.
However, Ava and Aleesa found what they liked and immediately bought it. The sisters were fond of the same Beast Spirit called Gale Fury. It looked like a falcon with a golden beak and green feathers. The constant swirling wind around their body was quite eye-catching, and of course, they were battle-type Beast Spirits.
Taking care of the battle-type Beast Spirits would be different from the non-battle types. Liora warned Tang Shaoyang that the diet would be different as well. They needed to give the falcon living fodder to keep it sharp. The Gale Fury would hunt their own food, and the diet would be expensive because they could not make it.
There were five Gale Fury available to sell. A pair of parents and three three-month-old Gale Fury. The female attendant hesitated when Tang Shaoyang showed his desire to buy from the parents because the parents were not for sale. They were here for a showcase and to breed.
However, the female attendant learned her lesson from the manager. She asked the second female attendant to ask Young Lady Elonia about Tang Shaoyang, who wanted to buy the parents. They could not make a decision.
They were waiting for the female attendant to return. Ava was happy that Tang Shaoyang was willing to buy the whole family instead of only buying the young ones, but Aleesa was uncomfortable with how easily they spent the money.
“I don’t think we need to buy the parents as well. Just one for me and one for my sister should be fine.”
Ava chuckled, “If you are worried about spending so much money, you can use your money to buy it.” She knew her sister too well, knew why Aleesa sounded concerned.
Aleesa’s eyes brightened as she immediately checked her own pocket. She had more than 300 million, getting them all from her adventure in the Dimensional Tower and clearing some dungeons as well.
“You can’t buy it with your money unless you have this!” Tang Shaoyang showed them the identification card that was only valid in this space.
An Identification Card was needed to do a transaction, and one could only get the Identification Card if they had a class related to Beast Spirit. None of them had the class that related to Beast Spirit, so they could only make a transaction under the Tang Garden’s name.
“And don’t worry about money. Our Prime Minister agreed to fund the Tang Garden’s operation, including this shopping,” Tang Shaoyang smiled, pointing at Li Shuang with his thumb.
Li Shuang winked her eye right at Aleesa, assuring the latter to be at ease. Tang Shaoyang was not joking when he said she agreed to fund the Tang Garden’s operation. She took 20 billion from the treasury. It was big, but nothing big considering how many they had, and how little the empire’s spending was.
There was someone who agreed with Aleesa, and that person was the Chief Caretaker. One young Gale Fury for 20 million was too expensive. It pained him to see the price tag.
The price was right outside the cage, and Azhug started becoming uncomfortable with how Tang Shaoyang easily splurged the money, agreeing with Lady Aleesa’s opinion that this was unnecessary spending. He could use 60 million more than just buying three young Gale Fury.
“If I may ask, do you intend to use Gale Fury to fight with you, Lady Ava? Lady Aleesa?” The Ogre braced himself and asked.
If Lady Ava and Aleesa wanted to use them to assist them in a fight, then the Gale Fury was not the best one. There were other Beast Spirits that were cheaper than Gale Fury that had a better fighting capability.
“Oh, I don’t plan to use my Gale Fury to assist me in fighting. It will be my companion, and I bet Alissa will like to contract one as well. Can we give the third one to Alissa?”
The moment Ava mentioned Alissa, there was no more hesitation. He was convinced to buy all three young Gale Fury. That just gave him another reason this was a good purchase. His relationship with Ava’s daughter, Alissa, was strained. Not that he could blame her for that, as it was his fault.
“I am not really planning to make it fighting for me, but I want to use it for scouting, if possible, if not, then I will keep it as a companion like my sister.”
Ava and Aleesa are just fond of Gale Fury. They did not think of using their contracted Beast Spirit in a fight. That was just natural fondness when they spotted Gale Fury. Especially after the young Gale Fury chirped at them, flapping their undeveloped wings when they stopped by the cage.
Azhug had nothing to complain about, realizing that they were just fond of Gale Fury. While it pained him to see how much they spent, he realized the reason they were here was to pick their favorite.
This reminded him again that his Boss strove to create the menagerie for his family. It made sense that they wanted to keep the Beast Spirits they were fond of. They had a different purpose, but his main objective did not clash with his boss’s.
Azhug’s goal was to create the safest and most comfortable place for the Beast Spirit to live. He could achieve his goal because it didn’t really matter what kind of Beast Spirit they bought.
The female attendant returned in a hurry with quick steps. She returned to Tang Shaoyang, “Lady Elonia agreed to sell the parents as well. Each parent is 60 million, so both would be 120 million.”
Azhug sucked a deep breath when he heard the number, but that was within his estimation. The Cladeos Emporium did try to milk its boss as it was within the market price. His estimation was around 50 to 80 million for the parents.
Even though it was still in the range of market price, he felt like they could get more Beast Spirit if they bought from the hunter directly. They might be able to get ten to twenty Beast Spirits.
Azhug took care of the rest. The whole family of Gale Fury was 180 million, but they got a twenty percent discount. Twenty percent did not sound that much, but it was a big discount on their purchase. The total price after the discount was 144 million.
Meanwhile, Elnar did his job to ensure Gale Fury was healthy and didn’t have a disability. If Gale Fury were sick or had a disability, they could lower the price further. But of course, the big emporium would not make such a rookie mistake to sell a sickly Beast Spirit.
They continued checking the collections. Tang Xiulan was interested in one beast spirit, the golden squirrel. A squirrel with golden fur on its body, and the starry tails. The fluffy tail was dark violet with golden stars, continuously blinking.
Her hands and face were on the glass confinement; her eyes went big and shone brightly. It was obvious she wanted the squirrel, but she was holding back when her mother told her to wait until the auction.
The Cladeos Emporium’s collections were certainly much better than the ones sold in the stall outside. The girls had found some of the Beast Spirits they were interested in, but they refrained from buying them right away, like Ava and Aleesa. They wanted to wait for the auction before making the decision.
“The auction will start in five minutes. Do you want me to guide you to your room?” one of the female employees reminded Tang Shaoyang.
Tang Shaoyang had little interest in the auction. He would like to get there in time instead of getting there early, but he remembered that Elonia wanted to meet him.
He nodded at the female employee and told her to guide them to the room. Their auction hall was on the sixth floor. It was a stage with half-circle seats, and it didn’t have that many seats. The hall’s capacity was around 200-300 people with eleven private boxes.
The female employee led them to the biggest box, which was located higher than the other boxes. Their group certainly attracted attention, especially with how big Elnar was.
They arrived in front of the door with two guards. One of them tried to scan Tang Shaoyang’s group with his sharp gaze, but the second guard slapped the man’s back of the head, “Did you already forget what Lady Elonia said earlier?”
“I apologize if my friend scared your daughters, Sir. He is still new and still rigid with his duty.” He opened the door, “Lady Elonia is waiting for you inside, Sir.”
Tang Shaoyang did not really mind the guard’s action. He was just doing their job, after all. He nodded at the guard and brought his family into the private room.
The room was much bigger than he thought. It had the capacity of fifty people with two rows of comfy couches with a glass table in the front with refreshments and snacks on it.
Elonia stood up when the door opened, welcoming Tang Shaoyang with a friendly smile. She only greeted Tang Shaoyang briefly and focused more on his wives.
“I have heard about Tang Shaoyang’s wives. We have done some business during The Trial of God. I still remember he bought the armor and weapons from my establishment for you guys.”
The half-elf knew Tang Shaoyang had more than one wife, but she did not expect to meet nine of them right away. In fact, she did not expect him to have nine wives. But then it made sense with how many armors and cloaks he bought from her.
They exchanged pleasantries as she brought them to their seats, “There will be an opening to hype up some of the items. The auction will not start for another ten to fifteen minutes, but I invite you early because there’s something I want to discuss.” Those words were directed to Tang Shaoyang.
“I can’t promise you anything, but I am willing to hear it.” Tang Shaoyang did not promise her anything despite the good hospitality. He was unsure what a big emporium wanted with him.
“That’s fair, and don’t worry, it has nothing to do with your authority as the Executive Administrator or your conflict. We, merchants, don’t really care about that; we are only interested in business, and I have a business proposal for you.”
“The Cladeos Emporium wants to open a branch, a business in your territory, in the Tang Empire’s territory, whether it’s your territory in the God Realm or Earth.”
Tang Shaoyang was happy the talk had nothing to do with his status as Executive Administrator. Elonia wanted to continue with her business proposal, but he stopped her. Her face changed slightly, her composure cracked, but she kept her cool.
“Don’t worry. I am not going to decline your proposal, but you need to talk about your business proposal to the right person,” Tang Shaoyang pointed at Li Shuang, “She is the Prime Minister of the Tang Empire. You can skip me and convince her directly because I trust her judgment. Convince her, and you can open a branch in our territory.”
