Armipotent - Chapter 2057: Consequences (1)

Chapter 2057: Consequences (1)
The three Executive Administrators gave a quick scan of the room. Tang Shaoyang alone and more than forty were coming for his life. That seemed to fit the description. They tried to kill him, but these fools underestimated Tang Shaoyang and got killed first, which triggered the Starter City’s defense mechanism.
The city would evaluate the danger of the trouble and summon the right administrator for the problem. Most of the time, an Executive Administrator would be summoned because one of the Emperors from the Void Cult attacked.
When three of them were summoned, they thought the whole Void Cult was attacking the Starter City, only to find out that one of their fellow Executive Administrators had caused the trouble.
“But you know the rule of the Starter City, right? As an Executive Administrator, you should enforce the rule, leading by example, not causing trouble. Can’t you at least wait until they leave the city?” Arion clicked his tongue.
“Of course I can, but I have another plan, and killing them in the city is part of that plan. I want to kill them here and make it a big issue so people will know what happens here,” Tang Shaoyang’s answer surprised everyone. Especially when he answered it with a mad grin on his face.
“What do you mean?” Clementine felt uneasy from that answer.
“Let’s say you don’t appear here to stop me. I will be fighting these people and destroying the city. There will be a rumor that an Executive Administrator goes rogue, and they will try to dig up the information on why an Executive Administrator fought in the Starter City and killed the entire Snow Elf Clan. When they find out why, they will understand what it means to try to harm my family and the consequences of attacking me. So there’s no weakling faction such as the Daenelis Clan who will try similar things. This will serve those weaklings a warning.”
Arion shook his head, letting a small chuckle. Sometimes he forgot the real Tang Shaoyang he had met before. Baba’s eyes widened, not expecting such an answer. Clementine frowned deeper, not understanding such an action.
“Even if it means you will lose your position as Executive Administrator?” She asked.
“Even if it means I will lose my position. Oh, I will go further for what they have done. I might as well wipe out the entire Snow Elf. That will be more memorable for people if I wipe the entire race, right?” Tang Shaoyang’s words stunned everyone in the room, including Khaya.
This was a different Tang Shaoyang she knew. What she knew about Tang Shaoyang was that he was a caring leader, even though he didn’t show it on the outside. He would do everything to protect his people despite his indifference toward them. This was the first time she witnessed this side of Tang Shaoyang, or maybe because no one had tried to harm his family before.
Tang Shaoyang summoned Avyn, Zara, Vandir, and Karan. The four were his strongest spirits, the pinnacle-rank Archaic Spirit. Then he summoned ten more high-rank Archaic spirits: Nikolas, Mathias, and Gianni of the Lysvand Family. Then he summoned Radiance the Primal Frostbringer, Jovrick the Forsaken Infernal Knight, Orlean the Demon God, Ruben the Valiant Soldier, Maldros the Stormbringer, Yowe the Spear Saint, and Arkanos the Blade Emperor.
“Oh, no. You don’t want to tread this path, Tang. Aren’t your family safe right now? Let’s talk it out,” Arion’s eyes widened when he saw the fourteen Spirits. He could not feel their aura because they were spirits, but he had been watching Tang Shaoyang and knew the strongest spirits in Tang Shaoyang’s arsenal.
“He’s trying to use his spirits to stop us from bothering him. This is bad. He’s truly ready to lose his position.”
“Don’t remind me of my family, Arion!” Tang Shaoyang lost his grin, staring at Arion coldly. The thought of almost losing his daughters angered him further. If not for Avyn’s quick action, Li Jiaying, Li Yue, and Cecilia might have died.
Baba let out a chuckle, “Do you think these spirits can stop us?” The red-brown haired man shook his head and could not believe what Arion said.
“Oh, no. They can do more than just stop you. They could actually kill you. Especially that beauty right there,” Arion pointed at Avyn, “You might die if you try to fight her by yourself. Of course, our friend here knows it’s bad to kill us. Their job is most likely stopping us from killing them.”
Arion had watched Tang Shaoyang for a while and knew which spirit was on the stronger side. They were all strong, but the Dragon, the Lich, the Orc, and the Fallen Angel were the most dangerous ones.
“As much as I want to fight these spirits, I don’t want to lose another Executive Administrator. Let’s stop here and talk it out, Tang,” Clementine was eager to try on these spirits if they were proved to be as strong as Arion claimed. However, she had to look at the bigger picture, and there was a chance for her to spar against them if she made a worthy trade for this chance.
Tang Shaoyang walked toward the man behind Chief Avourel. He remembered who the man was. The man who made a mess during his second mission. That was why this Snow Elf looked familiar. He was Khaya’s former team member. If he was not wrong, this man was Chief Avourel’s son.
He approached Arsus, who slowly changed his expression to a terrified expression. A sword flashed, cutting through Arsus’s left hand. Blood spurted out, but he immediately stopped the bleeding with his black flame, leaving a burning mark.
Arsus was sweating bullets, blood drained from his face, and he was enduring the pain. Tang Shaoyang brought back his hand and sat on his couch, “Let’s talk it out.”
He sat on the couch by himself as his fourteen spirits were standing behind him. Then the pressure was gone. Arion easily collected the dark-clothed assassins and threw them out, leaving two of them behind. They were captives, daring to take a mission to kill the Executive Administrator; there’s a consequence for that.
Arion gestured for the Daenelis Clan to sit across from Tang Shaoyang. Chief Avourel no longer had the arrogant look on his face. The smugness was gone from his face, and he realized he had made a grave mistake. The plan was in a mess, and he lost his confidence to kill Tang Shaoyang when the three Executive Administrators were there.
“We will be waiting for the Shadow Stars’ people as well,” Arion checked on the Snow Elf’s group, then checked on Tang Shaoyang. He didn’t see Tang Shaoyang’s family, and it seemed everyone from the Snow Elf was still alive, aside from one who had lost his hand.
One of the Elders tried to help Arsus, trying to heal the hand, but they soon realized that the hand could not regenerate. Arsus not just chugged one or two Regeneration Potions, but five of them. However, it was futile; he could not regrow his hand, and they found the reason why Tang Shaoyang burned the wound.
“YOU! What did you do to my son’s hand!?” Chief Avourel pointed his finger at Tang Shaoyang, fuming.
Tang Shaoyang chuckled, “Shouldn’t you be prepared for this the moment you try to lay a hand on my family? What did you expect when you tried to kill my family?”
“We don’t have an intention to kill your family. The ice is not harmful even to the Epic Rank!” The Chief of the Daenelis Clan.
“And my daughters, who are not even level 100, almost die because of you,” Chief Avourel didn’t expect to hear from Tang Shaoyang. He didn’t see any children back then, but even if there was a child, he would not change his plan. He and the Elders were determined to go with their plan B, after all.
“Put that aside. You have seen that my wife is pregnant. Do you think what you did is not going to harm the baby?”
“It’s your own fault. Why did you bring your weak daughters to the meeting?” The Daenelis Clan’s chief tried his best to plead for his case.
Tang Shaoyang was amazed by how shameless the man was, but again, this was not unexpected for someone who had tried a cheap trick. He let out a small laugh, “That’s right. It’s my fault for putting trust in you just because I trusted Khaya. That’s indeed my fault, and I will make up for it. Get rid of you and your clan so you will no longer be a threat to them.”
“Alright, guys. I need context to judge the situation. Give me a context,” Arion turned toward Tang Shaoyang. “You said they almost harmed your family, but I don’t see your family here. You also said that you killed them, but they are still alive. I need to know what triggered this city’s security system. If it’s a personal dispute, then the Administrator would not meddle in.”
“Oh, I killed the person who shot the arrow. As for her remains, I burned her remains—” He was cut off by Khaya.
“I will explain what happened here, Sir.”
