Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground - Chapter 1415 Return

Chapter 1415 Return
A flash of blinding light. The weightless feeling of teleportation. Then Atticus opened his eyes to an unfamiliar room.
‘Where is this?’
The walls and floors were pristine white. It felt as though he had appeared in an advanced training room.
Though he’d only been in Nerrot’s chambers twice, Atticus knew enough to know that this was far from it.
‘Was I taken to another world…?’
He tensed, then almost instantly relaxed.
‘This is Eldoralth.’
He could feel the connection to the world, one that granted him a sense of omniscience. He was god here.
‘They must have moved the portal,’ he surmised.
That brought Atticus to the one question in his mind.
‘Where the hell is everyone?’
He had sent Kancilot back before battling the sentinels. Though Atticus hadn’t communicated when he would return, he’d at least expected a small gathering when he did.
But it looked like they hadn’t been worried at all.
‘There’s only… one person.’
With a brief scan, he discovered someone standing just outside the door.
As Atticus left the room, he found himself on a balcony high above the ground. Standing at the edge was Luminous Stellaris.
‘What’s he looking at?’
As with the other human paragons, Luminous had become an Eldorian, and his current form reflected that.
Though he’d chosen to maintain his golden luster, the horn, folded wings, and powerful presence were evident enough.
“What are you doing?”
Luminous stiffened at the sudden voice. He turned, and his eyes almost popped the instant they landed on Atticus.
“Y-you’re back!”
“Obviously.” Atticus frowned, a little thrown by the excitement in his tone.
‘Maybe I was missed,’ he thought.
“You’re the only one here?”
“Yes…” Luminous reined in his shock, then broke into an eager smile.
“You’re finally back! Now I don’t have to be stuck here on this boring duty. I can join the others!”
‘Maybe not,’ Atticus sighed inwardly. ‘The one person they left doesn’t even want to be here. Should I go back? At least I’m wanted there.’
His mind replayed the moment of his kiss with Anorah before he quickly cleared his throat, brushing off the faint warmth rising to his cheeks.
“Where’s everyone?”
Luminous Stellaris had always been a dramatic man. Atticus knew that since the day the man attacked the Ravenstein Sector and Magnus had to put him down.
“At the main coliseum!” Luminous replied instantly.
Atticus frowned. “The main coliseum?”
Since when did Eldoralth have a main coliseum?
“Yes, yes!” Luminous looked impatient now. “Ozeorth and Whisker are about to fight! Everyone’s gathered there to watch.”
‘Of course.’ Atticus released a deep sigh. Ozeorth and Whisker, who else could it be?
“I lost a bet,” Luminous continued with a groan, “and got stuck guarding the portal. But now that you’re here, there’s no need, right? I can leave?”
He looked at Atticus with hopeful eyes, but Atticus had already tuned him out.
‘Let’s get to the bottom of this.’
He vanished, reappearing high in the sky. Drawing a deep breath, Atticus reached out to his Will, feeling it ignite and unfurl.
Then it spread outward, uncoiling across the world until all of Eldoralth lay bare before him.
He saw everything.
‘Those fools.’
Atticus shook his head, then vanished again, reappearing above a massive coliseum roaring with millions of spectators.
“OZEROTH! OZEROTH! OZEROTH!”
“WHISKER! WHISKER! WHISKER!”
The cheers shook the earth. Millions screamed at the top of their lungs, stomping the ground and pounding their seats in sheer ecstasy.
Atticus swept his gaze around. He had thought nothing here could surprise him anymore, but oh, how wrong he’d been.
Ozeroth stood on one side of the arena, a broad grin on his face, both arms raised as he basked in the crowd’s adoration.
He wore only a tight short, revealing a sculpted frame of ripped muscle stacked on hardened flesh.
Atticus couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen the man this happy.
His gaze transformed towards Whisker.
The “lazy one,” as Ozeroth loved to call him, stood opposite, wearing a brightly colored beach shirt, floral shorts, sunglasses, and pink flip flops.
He stared at Ozeroth with an amused smirk, his relaxed demeanor comically out of place.
If Atticus didn’t know better, he’d think Whisker was trying to degrade the entire event.
‘I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly his plan,’ Atticus thought.
“Ladies and gentlemen!” a booming voice thundered across the coliseum. “Are you ready for the clash of the century?!”
“WHOOOAAAAAHHHHH!”
The response was deafening. The ground trembled beneath their feet.
Atticus’ eyes followed the voice to a figure hovering above the coliseum, clad in regal robes, arms spread wide.
There was no doubt about it, he was the host.
Atticus blinked.
‘He’s really changed.’
If it had been anyone else, he wouldn’t have been shocked. But this man…
‘Oberon.’
The once stoic, ever serious Oberon was hosting a gladiator match?
Oberon’s voice boomed again.
“On one side, we have a man that needs no introduction. He’s powerful, he’s proud, and has enough ego to fill an entire world! I give you, the mighty OZEROTH!”
Ozeroth stepped forward, arms raised high as the people erupted.
“OZEROTH! OZEROTH! OZEROTH!”
“And on the other side,” Oberon grinned, “the challenger, a man whose words alone could drive you mad! He’s chaos, he’s charm, he’s the party king himself, WHISKER VON POUNCE!”
Whisker stepped forward lazily, waving at the crowd with exaggerated flair.
“WHISKER! WHISKER! WHISKER!”
He looked at Ozeroth and grinned.
“You should chill, man. You look tense.”
Ozeroth popped his neck and smirked.
“I’m going to fold you so hard, they’ll have to scrape you off the arena floor.”
Whisker laughed. “Funny. That’s what I said to your mom on our first night.”
A moment of silence. Then the crowd gasped.
Ozeroth burst into laughter.
“Please! My mother’s got standards.” His grin widened dangerously. “You wouldn’t even make it to her list of bad decisions.”
“WHOOAAAAAA!” The coliseum exploded in booming cheers.
“Good one.” Whisker flashed Ozeroth a smile.
Oberon raised his hand, laughter in his voice.
“All right! The rules are simple, no Will, no mana, no weapons! Just bare fists! Are you ready?!”
“YESSSSSSS!” the crowd roared.
Ozeroth and Whisker locked eyes, and the tension soared.
A dramatic pause. Then Oberon howled at the top of his lungs;
“Then, let the battle begi—”
“Hey.”
