Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground - Chapter 1628 Field Law

Chapter 1628 Field Law
The clangorous march of hundreds echoed in Atticus’ ears. He watched as gods poured out from the pathway beyond the moment the veil dropped.
The Eldorians and resistance leaders instantly tensed beside him. And though Anorah, Ozeroth, Whisker and the others appeared relatively calm, he could still see the strain across their faces.
‘Hmm…’
Atticus calmly swept his gaze across the army. It was difficult to discern which group stood as the main attacker. Every faction he had marked as an enemy was present.
The Redflames, the Abyss faction, and many others who had come for him during the resource wars stood assembled before him.
‘There’re more.’
Their numbers were even greater on the other war front, their armies entering into the millions. Still, considering the scale of the major faction, it could be deemed small.
‘Their elites.’
They were only gods present, and the heavy will churning around them and the frost in their eyes made it clear that these were the elites of their respective factions. It would seem his earlier message had been received exactly as intended.
‘There…’
Atticus’ eyes narrowed as he finally sighted what he deemed the leading force. Behind the army stood hundreds of figures clad in golden robes, faceless masks concealing their faces.
But his focus settled on the one with a pure dark faceless mask. His first encounter with someone like that had been during his first battle in the Lower Span.
‘Fragment bearer.’
He could feel the familiar energy seeping from him. Atticus frowned as he sensed a pair of heavy eyes settle onto him.
He shifted his gaze toward a man wearing a pure white faceless mask. The air around him was unnaturally still and heavy, as though the world itself had slowed in acknowledgment of his presence.
‘A Judicator.’
“I’ll handle them. I want you to go to the other fronts.”
Atticus spoke to the others, but each responded with deep frowns.
“I’ll be fine. The other fronts require you more.”
“…alright.”
Though deeply reluctant, they had all learned to trust Atticus. Nodding, they vanished from the space, leaving only him standing upon the hill.
‘It’s better this way.’
He hadn’t told them that the Willguards, fragment bearers and Judicator had emerged solely from this front. The other fronts consisted only of the major factions’ armies.
It was safe to say this was the true main attacking force.
‘Now…’
With nothing holding him back, Atticus silenced his thoughts and fixed his gaze on the army.
“Atticus Ravenstein.”
The Judicator’s eyes glowed faintly as they locked onto Atticus. He slowly removed his mask, revealing familiar circular lines etched across his aged, weary face.
“I am Nowel. A Judicator, carrier of justice within the Willguard. By law, I am required to recite your crimes. I will be brief.”
His tone was concise and detached, like a man simply fulfilling procedure rather than delivering judgment.
“You have been convicted of slaying multiple carriers of justice, massacring numerous innocent gods, and harboring an evil entity deemed contraband. “In light of the severity of these crimes, you have been sentenced to immediate execution. Your people and your world will be purged alongside you. Due to prior incidents, excessive force has been authorized. Proceed.”
The Willguard closest to him produced a circular orb and hurled it into the vast wasteland before them, where it detonated the instant it touched the ground. Multiple vines erupted from the earth, twisting and merging together until a radiant, imposing tree rose into existence.
The eyes of the army glowed through their armor as an invisible wave swept across them and surged toward Atticus.
“Stop.”
“What?”
The Judicator’s eyes narrowed. The will negation wave that should have washed over Atticus and the rest of the territory abruptly halted before him, as though seized by an unseen hand.
‘I can barely feel anything…’
A wave of exhilaration passed through Atticus. The Willguard’s will negation had once been a deadly obstacle, until now. He had stopped the wave simply by commanding the element, yet he felt almost no strain.
‘It really improved.’
The gods and wills he had absorbed during the resource wars had pushed his will beyond Physical Law and into Field Law. Now, Atticus’ control over molecules had expanded dramatically, and more than that, he could sustain multiple molecular commands simultaneously.
Still, Atticus couldn’t attribute it solely to his advancement. The fact that he stood within his own world made an immense difference.
His will was nearly infinite here, and his mind and body would continuously recover from the surging energy.
“Erase.”
An invisible orb engulfed the tree the next moment, and it vanished without a trace.
“You… what did you do?”
The Judicator’s weary eyes widened.
“Come.”
At Atticus’ command, the exo-suit burst forth from his chest and enveloped his entire body, a red shroud igniting across his face.
Atticus simply gripped his blade, and he disappeared.
“!!?”
The Judicator’s gaze sharpened as Atticus disregarded the army entirely and appeared before him, his katana descending with such overwhelming force it seemed as though the world itself dropped with it.
“Disperse.”
He vanished in a burst of light, the strike carving a colossal stretch across the land that spanned kilometers.
“Attack him. Now.”
The Judicator reappeared in the sky the next instant, staring down at Atticus with frigid eyes. The Willguards moved in unison, erupting into multiple pillars of blinding radiance. Attacks swallowed the sky the next moment as they cascaded down upon Atticus.
“Will, cease.”
A tremor rippled through the world, and the attacks dissolved into drifting wind.
The eyes of the Willguards widened, yet Atticus’ blade blurred into streaks of light around him as his command fell.
“Be there.”
Like a decree etched into reality, the slashes vanished before him and materialized at the necks of each Willguard. Most were unable to react before their heads were severed, their bodies plummeting lifeless from the sky.
“Domain of Judgment!”
The Judicator roared as he erupted into blinding radiance. The next moment, the terrain transformed into a vast sea of gold. The air grew suffocatingly oppressive, and the wills of the surrounding Willguards surged violently while those of the major factions diminished.
“What are you fools doing!? Attack him now!”
The Judicator had lost all composure as he glared at the other factions’ gods. With furious and vengeful gazes, they lunged at Atticus from all sides, unleashing a storm of attacks upon him.
Atticus was visible for a fleeting moment… and then he was gone. A crimson streak flashed, and the hundreds of gods at the front line were cleaved apart before they could even register what had happened.
Yet Atticus did not slow. Every attack unraveled before it could touch him. His bare katana sliced through will and armor alike, and the exo-suit propelled his speed to a terrifying extreme. He tore through the army like a raging torrent, leaving blood and ruin scattered in his wake.
“What… what is this…”
The Judicator stared at the unfolding massacre with a trembling gaze.
The gods he had brought with him were all from the Summit, gods whose wills stood at the level of Grand Sovereign.
Yet Atticus carved through their ranks as though they were inconsequential. Even the one fragment bearer he brought with him stood no chance.
“Use it! Use it now!”
At the Judicator’s command, the remaining Willguards retreated sharply, creating distance as they raised their arms toward the sky.
“Enhance.”
As they invoked the command, their arms ignited in blinding radiance that surged toward the Judicator.
“Manifest.”
The Judicator declared, his body erupting into a colossal pillar of light that stabbed the sky. It unraveled in brilliance before collapsing inward, forming a massive radiant hammer that spanned the entire sky.
“Gravel of Judgment.”
The Judicator’s oppressive aura descended upon the world, freezing every god in place.
“Atticus Ravenstein.”
He fixed his dominant gaze upon Atticus as he slowly raised his arm.
“This is your judgment.”
His arm fell, and the gravel behind him descended upon Atticus with overwhelming, crushing force.
“….”
Despite the descending annihilation, Atticus’ eyes remained tranquil as he sheathed his katana. The air around him fell utterly still.
“Still Blade.”
A tremor rippled through the world… and then, absolute stillness.
“Hm?”
The Judicator frowned. His body had abruptly frozen in place. It was not only him, every god still alive within the domain was equally immobilized.
‘It stopped…’
Even his ultimate attack hung suspended in midair. Suddenly, a faint, resonant hum reached his ears.
‘No…’
His gaze snapped toward Atticus’ katana, which trembled faintly as thin wisps of smoke rose from its edge. His eyes widened as searing pain tore through his being the next instant.
Through the blazing light of the morning sun, he saw a thin line trace vertically across his gravel, and then across himself.
“What…”
He barely registered the sight of the remaining gods splitting apart before his own body separated cleanly into two equal halves.
