- Chapter 512 - 512: Epilogue (2/2), The End

Alex spent the next hour traveling across the vast digital landscape of Universal Descent, checking in on the remaining people he hadn’t yet seen.
Each stop was brief, just long enough to greet an old friend or see how their lives had changed in the past decade.
It wasn’t about long conversations or deep discussions, it was about closure.
A way to make peace with the world he had once ruled like a storm.
The first place he visited was [Dawn City], where he found Tolkien, better known by his rather unusual title, the Exorcist Blacksmith.
The man’s workshop had once been little more than a rundown corner shack tucked into a forgotten alleyway, but now it stood like a fortress of glowing iron and enchanted tools.
A large sign hung proudly above the entrance, “Forged FateBreaker’s First Armor!”, a claim that was completely true, though Tolkien definitely made the most of it.
Customers filled the street outside, forming lines that wrapped around the building.
Knights, mages, adventurers from every class imaginable gathered here just for a chance to wield something forged by the man who once worked with FateBreaker.
And despite all the fame, Tolkien remained just as grumpy and loud as ever.
He grinned and gave Alex a rough pat on the back, yelling something about “damn tourists” and “overpriced materials,” but deep down, Alex could tell the blacksmith was proud.
Proud of how far he’d come, and proud to have been part of Alex’s journey.
Next, Alex headed to [Bell City], the bustling heart of the player-based world as it is the second town they access.
There, he found Aiden, the current leader of the [World Association].
The organization had grown tremendously over the past ten years.
With so many new players entering Universal Descent to test their luck or chase their strength, someone needed to keep the chaos in check.
That job fell to the Association, and Aiden was the one holding it all together.
The building they met in was sleek, almost futuristic, covered in glowing panels that responded to movement.
As they talked, the air around them pulsed with magic and tech alike, a blend of systems old and new.
They exchanged a few words, mostly small talk, until Alex noticed someone else enter the room.
A familiar presence.
It was Ravenna, the leader of the [Black Grow Guild].
She hadn’t changed much, same sharp gaze, same confident stride.
But her expression softened a little when she saw him, like a memory finally falling into place.
“I knew it…” she said quietly, staring at him, “You’re the man I saw back then, in this building… just watching.”
Alex chuckled.
“Only remembered now? After all these years?”
Ravenna crossed her arms, a faint smirk tugging at her lips.
“If I’d found you back then…”
“You’d have tried to kill me,” Alex finished for her, his grin matching hers, “Would’ve made things interesting, sure, might’ve even slowed me down for a day.”
She laughed under her breath.
“Too late now. I’ll head back to Earth. Nothing left for me here.”
“Take care,” Alex replied, watching her leave.
There was no hostility between them now.
With that, Alex had officially seen everything he needed to in Universal Descent.
The cities, the guilds, the friends, the rivals, they were all doing fine.
Living their lives. Growing stronger. The world didn’t really need him anymore.
And that realization brought a quiet sort of peace.
A message popped up in front of him.
[Do you want to leave “Universal Descent”?]
[Yes] [No]
He didn’t hesitate.
“Yes.”
In a flash of blue light, Alex vanished from the game, reappearing back in the real world where it had all started.
The conference room he had left earlier was empty now, save for the soft hum of machines and the faint breeze from the open-air ceiling above.
He couldn’t use his [World Map] in the real world, but honestly, he didn’t need it.
Not anymore.
His body was fast, too fast for most people to comprehend.
With a single thought, six wings burst from his back, radiant and beautiful, their glow illuminating the entire chamber.
The glass ceiling above cracked open with a soft hiss, parting like a blooming flower to let him pass.
And then, with a mighty flap of his wings, Alex soared into the sky.
He flew at a speed that blurred the clouds, cutting through the wind like a meteor.
Within minutes, his destination appeared on the horizon. His mansion.
A towering structure nestled in a vast field of green, bordered by forests and lakes.
The building was so massive it could easily house thousands of people.
Crafted from marble and obsidian, lined with gold and enchanted stone, it glowed with subtle energy, every brick a testament to Alex’s power and success.
But despite its size, the mansion wasn’t built for prestige or pride.
It was built for something far more important: family.
Alex landed gently in front of the grand entrance, the stone beneath his feet barely making a sound.
As he stepped toward the door, he could already hear tiny footsteps on the other side.
“Dad!”
“Papa!”
The door swung open, and two young children ran into his arms, Lucien and Maelle, seven and five years old respectively.
Lucien had tiny wings on his back, already learning how to flap them, while Maelle had little horns and soft lavender eyes that shimmered in the sunlight.
Alex laughed and scooped them both up, spinning them gently before heading into the house.
The living room was warm and lively.
On the couches sat his five wives, Alice, Aurelia, Alera, Lilith, and Arcelia.
Around them were more children, eight more in total, drawing, watching TV, chasing each other, or cuddling close to their moms.
Ten kids in all. Two from each wife. A full family. With more to come probably.
“Mom!” Lucien shouted, flapping his wings and rushing toward Alice.
“D-Dad is here…” Maelle mumbled, clinging to Arcelia’s arm as she smiled gently.
Alex stood there for a moment, watching the scene unfold.
A wave of happiness washed over him.
This, this, was why he fought. Why he endured. Why he lived.
His wives stood and greeted him with hugs and soft kisses, one by one.
“You took forever,” Lilith pouted, “We wanted to cuddle.”
Alex grinned and gave her a wink.
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of all of you tonight.”
They blushed and laughed, some covering their faces, while the kids continued playing, blissfully unaware of the teasing.
Despite all his strength and history, Alex made time for his family.
He helped with meals, played games, trained his children in combat and magic (when they were old enough), and even tucked them into bed at night.
He wasn’t just their protector, he was their father. Their center.
The children didn’t distinguish between the wives either.
They called all five of them “moms,” and not once had jealousy or resentment appeared among them.
Each woman treated every child as their own, and the bond they shared ran deeper than blood.
Of course, Alex’s powerful bloodlines had made their marks on the children.
Some had angelic wings, others dragon traits like scales or fire-breathing abilities.
A few even had the faint marks of his Hatred Form, small black horns or glowing eyes that flared when they got angry.
It was a beautiful mix, at least, that’s how Alice described it every time she giggled at their chaotic family meals.
Alex had also gone out of his way to speak with Volks and the [Primordial Dragons], asking them to bestow bloodlines on his wives.
Thanks to that, all five could now live for tens of thousands of years, and age gracefully, staying young and radiant for the rest of their lives.
It was a perfect ending.
Sometimes, Alex would still meet with the [Creators], but those moments were rare.
Most of them preferred solitude, traveling across distant realms.
And honestly, Alex was fine with that.
His focus was here now. On this life. On these people.
“Alright,” Alex suddenly called out, clapping his hands, “Who wants to go outside and eat something fancy today?”
“Me!” all the kids yelled at once, rushing toward him.
His wives laughed as Alex gathered his children close, wrapping his arms around them all.
He paused for a moment, holding them tight.
“To many more years of happiness,” he thought with a smile, “And if one day… something greater than even the Creators threatens this world,”
He looked down at his family.
“I’ll be ready.”
