Because Eminent Desolation was half a step into the Living God level, that godhood was the only thing that could equal the chain of symbols, or perhaps even surpass it.
Meeting the force of the chain of symbols with godhood like that was the best choice. Furthermore, Young Lord Aurora… didn’t just want to rely on that godhood alone to fight back. He wanted to take the opportunity provided by the clash between the godhood and the chain to actually sever the connection between himself and the godhood. That connection came in the form of karma threads between himself and Eminent Desolation!
As the power of gods and immortals swirled in his eyes, he shot up into the air and unleashed unheard-of force. He was the vessel to channel the Fourth Star Ring and the Fifth Star Ring, sending out explosive power to form a long blade that was a mixture of gold and silver.

The Fourth Star Ring’s dao of gods moaned in agony again. The Fifth Star Ring’s destiny aura surged with intensity.
The chain of symbols slowed down to a stop yet again. The gray light within it had been significantly reduced by the Fourth Star Ring’s dao of gods and the Fifth Star Ring’s destiny aura, but there was still some left. It flowed down the length of the blade.
When it entered Young Lord Aurora, it became pure destruction that raged forth with mountain-toppling, sea-draining force. Young Lord Aurora shivered from head to toe, and blood oozed out of his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. However, his eyes remained as vicious as before.
Golden light shone from the godhood within him, racing to slam into the invading gray light.
They collided. The shock of it caused the karma threads connecting the godhood and Young Lord Aurora to shiver. And then a few of them snapped.
At that critical moment, Young Lord Aurora didn’t hesitate to slash the blade out again. Heaven and earth shook as the blade light swept forth from Young Lord Aurora. He then launched a third, fourth, and a fifth attack! Each slash of the blade caused the chain to shake, and rocked the godhood, causing further breakage among the karma threads.
After nine blade attacks, madness began to rise within Young Lord Aurora. He then stretched out his left hand, releasing an explosion of golden light. He waved as right hand, sending out intense silver light.
Reaching out, he grabbed the chain of symbols. Expression distorting viciously, he let loose a howl that echoed through both the Fourth and the Fifth Star Rings. The godhood within him thrummed violently as a flame emerged from it, which surged through Young Lord Aurora’s arms and into the chain of symbols!
The chain burst into flames. However, it didn’t melt immediately. It just flickered as the flames slowly ate away at it.
As that happened, the threads connecting Young Lord Aurora to the godhood seemed on the verge of being fully destroyed.
And then, a tipping point was reached between the godhood and the symbols. Both sides went completely insane! The godhood rumbled as it shrank down, until it was a finger-nail sized fragment. Despite its size, though, its terrifying mightiness surpassed anything from before. It was as if fighting the chain of symbols had purified the godhood! The impurities had been extruded, leaving behind only the purest of half-step Living God Eminent Desolation’s paramount godhood!
At the same time, the karma threads connecting the godhood to Young Lord Aurora were unable to repair themselves. They were about half gone! Visible on the surface of the severed threads were images of Young Lord Aurora becoming a God Lord. Just like his godliness, they were fading away.
As for the chain of symbols, it had been worn down to such a degree that it couldn’t fight back any longer…. The chain of symbols burst into flames! It was visibly being burned up! As every part of it started crumbling into ashes, an astonishing sound emerged that resembled a musical instrument being played.
Meanwhile, Young Lord Aurora was surrounded by a sound like that of a rushing river. It was the flow of a new immortal origin. The terrifying immortal power of an Immortal Lord swept through the star chart of the Fifth Star Ring that existed on his dao bones, spreading out and filling the bones with silver light.
That influenced Young Lord Aurora’s form, causing him to revert from a godly appearance to that of a cultivator! It was as if human nature were flourishing within him, while godly nature was retreating. His hair changed from golden to white, eventually turning into flowing silver like a silver river. The aura of an immortal rose within him.
The dome of heaven trembled, and the dao of gods wailed. The destiny aura of the Fifth Star Ring grew more robust. That was when Young Lord Aurora did something that no one could possibly have predicted. He lifted his right hand, which surged with the Fifth Star Ring’s destiny aura, and then he… pointed at Xu Qing!
“Xu Qing, you are the master of the Aurora Immortal Palace and heaven beyond heaven. You should benefit from the nourishment of the destiny aura from this beginning of an epoch. You are also a true monarch, so you have the right to be blessed by destiny aura! Furthermore, you have provided immense assistance both to the Fifth Star Ring and to me.

Mi Ming’s words were a paramount imperial decree, and they caused the Fifth Star Ring destiny aura in the area to surge. As it did, one portion of the destiny aura became like a dragon rushing toward Xu Qing.
As it neared, Xu Qing’s heart raced. The destiny aura issued a draconic roar, and then… it entered Xu Qing!
Xu Qing’s cultivation base went wild! The nourishment of destiny aura brought pure ringsource. It contained the will of all living beings, like the approval of natural and magical laws. At the same time, though it seemed like his connection to the Fourth Star Ring had been completely severed, the reality was that it still existed. His name, which contained both the sun and moon, would forever be part of the river of true names there.
