Chapter 1809: Monster Hunting & Leveling
—–
“Okay, now…”
Elayne swiftly unsheathed Asteria and infused her with Life and Death Energy. The bone blade began to glow with a radiant fusion of death and life intertwined as one.
“Hah!”
She charged forward without hesitation. The beast reacted instantly, jaws gaping wide to unleash a foul toxin capable of melting flesh and bone alike.
Yet Elayne summoned Spirit Barrier in an instant, drawing on her vast reserves of Spirit Energy and the aid of her Soul Rune Imprint Skill. She withstood the corrosive poison and pressed onward toward the beast.
The moment her barrier shattered against the creature, she brought her sword down in a fierce arc. She channeled ERROR_INPUT Arts into the blade, surrounding it with a glitched aura of black and gold.
Then she went all out, unleashing her swordsmanship.
Though she lacked formal mastery of these techniques, the martial instincts and movements remained as sharp and powerful as ever within her soul.
“Fairy Queen’s Magic Swordsmanship Arts – Bellflower Dance!”
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
She danced gracefully around the monster’s attacks, covering its body with countless slashes. Instead of the usual pink petals, black and white ones bloomed with every strike, each petal transforming into a deadly cutting force.
“GRYYAAARRR!”
The Cavity Beast thrashed desperately, bleeding profusely as it tried to flee. Elayne quietly admired its resilience. Back in the living world, that barrage would have felled most Level 300 monsters outright.
The Netherworld was not merely more hostile; every creature here possessed terrifying toughness. Elayne understood that raw spirit energy and mana alone would no longer suffice.
She poured Nether and Ghostly Energy into her next attack.
And then, Cursed Energy as well!
“Come back here!”
She reshaped her technique on the spot, birthing a new variation tailored for the Netherworld’s hardier foes.
“Bellflower Dance – Echo: Cursed Rose Garden!”
In the blink of an eye, the area around the beast transformed into a pitch-black cursed garden. Its eyes widened in terror as Elayne closed in, slashing once through its body. Dozens of illusory roses manifested, each one a piercing strike that cut deeper into flesh and soul alike.
At last the beast surrendered. It collapsed, lifeless, to the ground.
Elayne exhaled in relief. It still felt strange, moving so fiercely yet never sweating, never growing warm.
“Phew, done.”
Ding!

“Oh nice! I leveled up!” Elayne cheered. “No Skill or Stat Points, but at least my stats rise anyway… And instead of Skill Points, my Skills simply gain experience? Huh.”
Elayne smiled, completely unaware of the dozens of smaller spider-like Cavity Beasts scuttling toward her.
By the time she registered the sound of their legs clicking across the stone, it was already too late.
“Um…”
“SHYAAAAEEE!”
They were enraged by the death of their larger kin. These were smaller—about the size of motorcycles—yet nearly identical in appearance to the Tier 2 beast, only Tier 1.
She was startled by their mindless aggression. Perhaps she carried some pheromone that marked her as an enemy of their colony.
“Damn it!”
Elayne fled from the swarm, trying to follow the direction her group had taken, but the creatures swiftly cut her off.
Desperate, she infused her energies into Asteria and called out.
“Asteria! Wake up! We’re in trouble!”
“…Master, I know.”
FLUOSH!
Elayne’s Aura surged violently as a profound connection deepened with her weapon. Slowly, the Aura took shape, materializing into a towering Skeleton Bride that roared at the approaching horde.
“OOOOHHHH!”
The ghostly cry froze every beast in place, leaving Elayne stunned by the sheer power of the ability.
Seizing the opening, she swung Asteria with fury, stabbing, cleaving, and slicing through the paralyzed creatures while firing [Nether Spirit Totem Nails] as deadly projectiles.
Four or five nails were needed to bring down a single Tier 1 monster. She had never considered using them this way before, but they proved perfect for ranged assaults.
Each nail that struck inflicted agonizing pain, halting movement and temporarily sealing a portion of the target’s power.
The nails vanished after ten seconds, returning to her Soul as Soul Relics, so she never needed to retrieve them.
Elayne simply needed to aim precisely. To do so, she expanded her Consciousness using the two methods she had learned. Now she could see, hear, smell, touch, and sense everything within the reach of her ghostly aura.
With this heightened awareness and power, she unleashed dozens upon dozens of nails without pause, piercing every creature that dared approach.
“Wait…!”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“Oh?!”
In the heat of battle, Elayne discovered something new. While dodging lethal strikes, enduring bites and blows, and fighting relentlessly, she realized she could drain the beasts’ essence of life and death, infuse it into her nails, and release it at the final moment.
The result was explosive.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
She brought hell upon the swarm until silence finally fell. She had slaughtered what seemed to be the entire nearby colony.
“Haaa… This wasn’t what I expected when I came here.”
She sighed in weary relief, resting atop a mound of corpses. She opened her Domain Portal and tossed the bodies inside, instructing the Undead to break them down for anything useful. If the remains proved worthless, they could serve as fertilizer or food for the plants.
Despite the exhausting fight, she had gained a wealth of EXP—the very reason she had ventured here.
Ding!
[Congratulations, you have slain the [Cavity Germ Beast (Tier 1)] x64!]

“Nine levels for over sixty Tier 1s? Tier 2s really give far more EXP than the smaller ones, since that one alone granted five levels…” Elayne mused. “Then again, I’m still so low level that anything Level 100 or higher is going to provide excellent experience…”
As she slowly rose, Gardenia examined the monster corpses. She had remained by Elayne’s side throughout the battle, providing occasional Spirit Barriers and healing her with a newly created Spell called Nether Spirit Patch, designed specifically to mend an Undead’s body.
“Looks like these ugly things are common around here…” Gardenia observed. “Well, I’m not complaining. The EXP is good, right?”
“Yeah, it is,” Elayne nodded. “But where’s everyone— Ah!”
Elayne turned toward the distant cavern to the west and spotted a group searching for her.
“Everyone! I’m here!” she called out.
“Elayne!” Blank cried.
“Elayne!!!” Mark screamed.
