Chapter 1842: The Awakening Of The Forest Heart
—–
Ulric looked down. His eyes widened as he saw Berserker’s entire body split in two by the samurai’s attack. Blood and guts splattered everywhere.
“No…”
Ulric had already lost the war.
“NOOOO!”
As he screamed in rage, desperately reaching for his spirit, the Vampiress smiled coldly. She conjured dozens of red bolts of blood magic and bombarded Ulric’s back with relentless explosions.
“Nnnggh? Aaaahh!”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Unable to reach her in time, Ulric plummeted dozens of meters and crashed into the pavement. He vomited even more blood.
Trembling, he slowly crawled toward his fallen servant.
“D-Damn you…! Damn you, you filthy vampire!!!”
Assassin approached Ulric but sheathed his katana, showing utter disdain as he deemed him unworthy of the killing blow.
He vanished into shadows and reappeared behind his master.
“Master, it is done.”
“Well done, Assassin. Let’s get out of here now, before things get too chaotic.”
“Understood.”
The young Vampiress glanced down at Ulric, still concealing her identity with shadows. Then she and her heroic spirit swiftly vanished into the night sky…
“No, Berserker! Berserker, damn it! You died already?! What about my dream?! The wish! T-This is it?! It’s over already?! D-Damn it! Damn it!”
As Ulric screamed in fury…
“I am not dead yet, master.”
“…?!”
The werewolf gasped. He heard his spirit’s voice and saw the body glowing strangely. The cursed mark spread across both halves. Blood and guts fused into masses of liquid red and black energy, sewing themselves back together.
“You’re not dead?!”
Ulric smiled in fascination at the sight. His servant stood tall once more, gazing down at his pathetic, wolf-headed master who kept getting beaten down.
“The Cursed Mark of God wouldn’t let me. It is a curse stronger than my own life. Unless they can fully purify it, I cannot die—forever cursed by the Creator to wander the Earth and repent.”
“…! A curse by God… I see! I see it now… Hahah… Keahahahaha! They must not be too far. Let’s go after them, Berserker!”
“Yes, I would like a rematch… That Assassin Spirit was a very strange one. He was holding back. I want to see how far he can go. I wonder if he could free me from this curse?”
Berserker surged with even greater power. Each death seemed to amplify his Magic Power and Cursed Energy further.
Ulric smiled with wild fascination. He climbed the buildings before the police arrived, following the young Vampiress’s scent.

“Haaa…”
Elena sighed as she walked through the backyard of her new house, alone. All her friends were fast asleep after such a long day—even Anna wasn’t moving. She looked up at the sky for a moment. The night was clear and starry, the moon hanging high.
She was finally back in Japan. She had never expected to return this year, but life had proven how unpredictable it could be. She smiled faintly, remembering her mother and how she had always wanted to come back here—how she spoke of reconnecting with her father’s family.
And how she had even planned a summer vacation where they would return together…
“…Mom.”
Elena felt a wave of depression settle over her. Tears slipped down her cheeks as she wandered the garden, caressing the small bracelet her mother had given her—crafted from her own wood and leaves, adorned with a small red flower that had withered but still held its vibrant red hue.
As she cried while touching her mother’s memento, Elena didn’t notice the subtle guidance. Pulsing, colorful rivers of spirit and mana energy flowed beneath her feet.
Each step drew her deeper into the source. Without realizing, she had already passed through the walls of the Amaterasu Clan’s Realm and found herself in a vast forest beyond it.
“I exited? Ah well, who cares…”
She sighed, sat on the grass, and leaned against the tallest tree in the forest, caressing its bark while thinking of Elayne.
“Mom… I miss you…”
She slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep right there.
The flows of energy intensified. As Elena napped, the energies gathered within her bracelet, resonating with it.
The bracelet began glowing—bright gold and red light emanating constantly…
Completely unaware of the strange phenomenon, Elena slept deeply within her dreams.
She dreamed she was back in the Forest of Beginnings, holding her mother’s hand as they wandered together.
Behind them walked a little child made of leaves and wood—her little brother—playing happily.
Her mother, as beautiful as ever, wore a white dress and smiled warmly, motherly, at her daughter and son.
She extended her hand toward Elena.
“Come on now, we’re almost there, dear…”
Elena’s hand trembled. She slowly reached out. Her mother pulled her up a small hill until they stood before a tall tree, surrounded by waterfalls and mountains.
The tree held the faint shape of a giantess.
“What’s this place, Mom?”
“This place is…”
FLASH!
Elena’s eyes snapped open. She felt a cozy, strangely warm sensation enveloping her body.
Still sleepy, she looked around in confusion. She was no longer in a simple forest.
This wasn’t a man-planted grove—it was a vast, colorful forest filled with floating spirits and magical creatures.
“What the hell?”
Elena stood slowly, gazing at her surroundings as she stepped forward. In the distance rose a towering tree.
No—not just any tree.
It was immense, radiating vast quantities of spiritual energy and mana in every direction.
“Is this still a dream?”
Elena walked deeper into the forest. She found herself barefoot, clad in a white toga. Vines and flowers twined around her legs and arms; blossoms bloomed in her long hair.
Her oni form was gone. She no longer resembled her BNLO avatar. It was as if she had returned to her original self.
And…
As she advanced, Spirit Races appeared and greeted her.
“Hello!”
“Hiiii!”
“How are you?”
Fairies, Gnomes, Brownies, Myconids, and many more emerged, welcoming her. Elena even noticed tall, majestic elves standing atop large trees, watching over her… and the tree in the distance.
Deeper in, giants of wood and stone walked. Trees resembling ancient old men moved slowly. Nature Golems, Treants, Dryads, and countless others filled the space. It was a mystical, spiritual realm of life and wonder, a whimsical fairy-tale land of myth and magic. Elena felt lighter. She heard voices singing behind her, as if celebrating something.
No—it wasn’t just the spirit races. Every single spirit, every plant, every animal—everything—was singing in its own way. An eternal, majestic chorus celebrated something so wonderful that the entire world joined in unison.
As if… someone very important was here.
And it wasn’t directed at Elena, but somebody else.
As she moved through the large jungle plants and pushed aside heavy leaves, Elena stepped into a vast open clearing.
What she found there was a tree shaped like a towering statue of a fertility goddess.
