Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 456 - 456: Some Reinforcement

Turning back the hands of the clock to about an hour ago, in a well-lit room filled with nothing but symbol of status, a lavish, perfectly decorated room with pillars having coiling dragons rising towards the ceiling, each carved from gold as if the owner of this place has money to burn, the clean, near holy air circulating around this place borderline creating mist due to how thick the ambient spirit qi is.
Within this room, one sole person sits on a soft, white bed seemingly made of the greatest materials, said person an old, nearing ancient man who seems to be in the middle of cultivation, the mist created from the thick ambient spirit qi surging towards his body like a whirlpool in the ocean.
While it might be true that this old man looks like he’s just one step away from the grave, the hail and hearty aura around him as a golden glow radiates from his body during cultivation completely states otherwise, as if this mortal form of his is nothing but a trap to lure foolish ones who might go ahead and dare to strike him.
Feeling something warm on his pocket, this meditating old man then opens his eyes, said eyes, filled with viciousness that seems to come not from slaughtering all his enemies alone, but rather due to a nature that is innate to him, as if he was born to be a character like he is now.
Despite the apparent viciousness of this old man though, he is still, human, after all, no matter how high his cultivation is, and being human, there are things that one cherishes, for this old man, his descendants, particularly the one who is clearly wanting to talk to him right now.
“Xie’er, how’s your visit going, did the Dao Seeking Mountain already agree with your proposal?” going first as he heard nothing from the other side of the communication talisman, the old man said with a jovial tone in his voice, seemingly eagerly awaiting for the positive response from his favored descendant.
And yet, there’s none, an awkward silence merely lasting for a couple of second that felt like eternity for the two of them, passed, before the person on the other line, the Third Imperial Prince, Long Moxie, replied after letting out a defeated sigh.
“Ancestor, I need urgent help…” the young man said in an aggrieved tone that is uncharacteristical of him, a proud prince of the Imperial Court who is also a prime candidate to ascend the throne after the current ruler, their father, abdicate himself from it.
Hearing the urgency in his descendant’s tone, the old man’s face, previously smiling in glee, turned into all seriousness as he starts inquiring about what happened for this descendant of his to act like this, and hearing how much humiliation his favored descendant had gone through in the hand of this other rising star of the Eastern Continent, he just couldn’t help but feel like he need to teach someone a lesson that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
“I left that bastard to deal with and control to that Wu Xiaolong and Wu Xiaoyang to deal with, it seems like they are way incompetent than I thought they are…” thinking about the fact that this trivial, low cultivation young man has yet to fall into their control despite two Ascension Realm experts being tasked to accomplish such objectives.
Not even considering that this young man might actually be the problem rather than the two Ascension Realm experts that are tasked with taking control of him, the old man stood up, preparing to leave but not before going somewhere else to make sure that he can deal with this immortal-like young man properly.
‘He had been compared to my descendants for too long, it’s time to let the world know the consequences of even just daring to be compared to my blood…’ the old man thought to himself as his eyes flashed with cold, ruthless gaze, even being ruthless to himself as he decided something that he quite treasure in order to invite an expert that is stronger than even himself.
‘Just in case those brats from that whatever Heavenly Tower intervene…’
———-
“Just to make sure, that young man looks good right?” smiling in a perverted way as he rubs his hand, flying through the air with everything around the two of them being a blur, another old man, albeit looking a little younger than the Imperial Court’s Ancestor, asked, his tone as if he is truly looking forward to meeting this young man the Imperial Court’s Ancestor mentioned.
“There’s just no way he wouldn’t be, he’s the child of that junior after all…” the old man said as he smiles in pity, not towards the young man but rather due to his parent, more precisely towards his mother, a renowned beauty but also an extremely talented cultivator, the kind of people that any force would dare recruit or poach without hesitation.
Talking with each other as a means of entertaining themselves before they descend on the nearing Dao Seeking Mountains, the two of them were interrupted mid flight as they saw a figure floating in the air, his figure steady and straight as he gazes towards their direction as if it is his intention to meet them in the air like this.
Feeling quite annoyed as the person is directly on the path they are moving in, both the Imperial Court’s Ancestor and the powerful expert he invited swung their hands, powerful surge of spirit, or rather, celestial qi coming out of this simple motion of theirs, the two of them completely certain that the figure in front of them will turn into dust the moment he collides with their attacks.
Such expectation is something that is bound to be broken though as the appearance of the figure they are about to face was revealed the closer they get to him, the staunch figure standing straight amidst the torrential wave of celestial qi as if it is nothing in front of him at all, the immortal-like air around him making one feel a vast sense of inferiority and uncertainty to their own path, a feeling invoked even in the heart of these two experts who had long transcended mortality and stepped into the celestial path.
Out of sight of these two, being obscured by their own attacks, the figure stood there unmoving, intending to take on the full brunt of the two celestial-level expert’s strength, something that will usually kill even those at the Half-step Celestial Realm, not to mention a cultivator at the Nascent Source Realm like him.
Having this peculiar, familiar and certain feeling of invincibility though, this immortal-like young man merely smiles in anticipation as he stood there straight, reaching out one of his hands to get a feel around of what is about to hit him, the shaking ambient spirit qi making him well aware that it will be nothing like he had ever experienced before, not even when considering the memories he had recovered from the previous timeline.
And so while thinking about all of that, his surrounding is engulfed in a pure, devastating white.
