Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 480 - 480: Su Xiaotian

Now having a target to this new entertainment of theirs, some of the people within this room waved their hands, from the door at the backmost part of this place entering are people, seemingly servants, who are wearing a mask with nothing but an eye opening as a feature, these people immediately bowing even before their presence were announced to the people inside the room.
One of the people in the front row stands up, her long, blonde curly hair something that stands out among the crowd, the blood crimson pupil that decorates her eyes invoking a feeling of immense attraction on the masked figures who all suddenly felt like they are willing to throw anything else in their life so long as they can serve this lady with all they have.
Seeing such a reaction from the masked figures, this lady cracked an alluring smile that made the attraction all the more lethal to the figures that entered the room. Such proceedings of the events stopped as the very same charismatic young man who spoke earlier pats this lady on the shoulders before anything else escalates.
“While I am not against self-satisfaction, there are better things that we can spend our time on, am I right, Amarillia?” the young man said with a convincing smile on his face, the lady nodding to his words, a trace of the fact that she was so shocked with him patting her shoulders still apparent on her face.
Seeing the agreement from the lady, the charismatic young man then smiles as he looks at the masked figures, his gaze, as if an absolute contrary to the feeling that was invoked by the blonde lady, terrifies all the masked figures to their very core, their legs trembling at the sight of this young man, yet they cannot even fall on the ground despite their current weakness, as they know all too well what will happen should they do so.
Seemingly unconcerned about the feelings of these masked figures, the young man then pointed towards the projection of the crystal, particularly towards the figure, giving off an immortal-like air around him, something that made this figure all the more interesting to these people’s eyes.
“Pick him up, don’t take too long…” the young man ordered in an authoritative voice that made all the masked figures nod repeatedly in unison, this action lasting for a few moments before they finally gave off one deep, respectful bow, after which they closed the door of the room and immediately scrambled to pick the immortal-like young man up.
Seeing how flustered the masked figures are facing the charismatic young man, the members in the room couldn’t help but laugh in amusement as some of them even dares to tease said young man, who, in return, merely smiles and sometimes snaps back, his retort nothing more than a friendly banter towards these people, treating them a complete opposite off the masked figures that entered the room previously.
‘Now, just what kind of things should we do to him?’ with the noise in this room dying down after quite a lot of joking around, the attention of all the people inside were pulled by the immortal-like young man once more, most of them having a deranged, excited smile on their faces as they refuse to take their plastered gaze off the immortal-like young man.
———-
Back in the field, a tall figure is working hard, making sure that the crops are growing fast and well, a smile on his handsome face, a genuine smile that reflects on his night black eyes, eyes that pair incredibly well with the same colored, long hair.
Despite the incredible appearance that will more than likely make even the gods jealous, though, no one among the other workers is willing to approach him, most likely due to the unique, incredibly overwhelming air around him, an air that can make even the strongest among these workers unable to properly breathe standing near his vicinity.
As for the object of the other worker’s fear, he’s merely minding his own business, all while thinking about how he should make the most of his time in this place, wondering what sort of encounters he will have, knowing that it is only a couple of weeks ago that he arrived at this place.
‘The cultivation system here is quite different from the one back home… It’s not really surprising anymore since some other planets have different cultivation systems as well…’ thinking about his time on Astaria’s home planet, the immortal-like young man smiles, desensitizing himself from the peculiarity that is the difference in the cultivation system despite the location of the place he is currently in being of the very same birth planet he has.
‘If there’s anything different here in the west and the Xing Wu planet, then it should be the fact that the strength of practitioners here also reaches quite the high realms….’ He added to himself in interest, as during his short stay here, his senses had gathered enough for him to know the strength of the people here.
In terms of strength, one of the major differences between this place, the Western Continent, and his birthplace, the Eastern Continent, is the fact that unlike the east, only having few unfortunate souls whose body is cursed to the condemnation of not being able to cultivate, this place is far more cruel and unforgiving, not only having a lot more people not blessed with the ability to break away from the mundanity of the mortal world, but also experiencing oppression from the blessed because of this.
“Move!! Don’t block our way!!”
“No one interferes with our job, this will be over quickly!!”
Snapping him out of his thoughts, the immortal-like young man frowns as he hears quite the pompous tone lacing multiple voices approaching his location, annoyed at the fact that trouble might be coming his way, and yet, somewhere in his mind, still hoping that whatever the reason is for these people being here, it wasn’t an issue that is related to him in any way.
“Hey!! You right there, yes, you!! Stand up!!” moving closer, one of the figures said, their voice directed towards the immortal-like young man’s direction, making him grit his teeth in a final wish not to be the reason these people are here.
Try as he might to avoid troubles, though, it almost seems like trouble itself comes looking for him every time it can get, the fact that the owner of the previous loud, proud voices stops in front of him making him close his eyes for a moment as he sighs in disappointment.
Hearing the sigh coming out of the immortal-like young man’s mouth, one of the figures that was speaking previously, a masked person whose only exposed facial features are the eyes behind the mask, clicks his tongue in annoyance, something about the way this young man behaves making this figure think that they are being disrespected in some way.
“What the hell are you sighing for, you bra—” feeling like they shouldn’t be experiencing disrespect like this, one of the masked figures starts speaking using the same tone they were previously using, as if they are people sitting above the beings in this working field.
Before he can even finish his sentence, though, words seem to get stuck in his throat as he feels the primal urge to move away from where he currently is; this urge overwhelms him so much that he fails to stop himself from taking a couple of steps away from the immortal-like young man’s figure.
Feeling the very same sensation as the one who just spoke, the other masked figures replicate his movements, taking a few steps away, revealing the wariness they are all feeling towards the young man in front of them.
‘It’s just like that person…’ with a ghastly expression on their faces as they stare at the young man standing up from his comfortable slouch as he takes care of the crops near him, one of the figures thought to themselves before shaking their head, terrified at the fact that such a thought pops into their mind.
“Is there any problem, enforcers?” almost as if the pressure and terror they were previously feeling were nothing but an illusion, the masked figures heard the immortal-like young man’s voice, a gentle, calm one opposite to the oppressive feeling that he just made them feel, his expression, despite being cold, carries a hint of familiarity and warmth that made them feel at ease, as if he’s capable of holding everything up even if the very heavens itself collapse.
“N-nothing at all, apparently, there are some things that the Great Ones want to inquire about… and we are tasked to bring you to their place mister…” one of the masked figures, seemingly the true leader of this group wearing the only mask with a mark on them, stated, the slightly hesitating, feminine voice coming out of the mask making the immortal-like young man smile as he gives his name from the seemingly inquiring lady.
“Xiaotian, Su Xiaotian”
