Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 513 - 513: An Odd Encounter

The rest of the trip inside the spatial corridor is uneventful, with the two versions of a single individual discussing how they should deal with this problem with the utmost care, the tone of the older man apparent despite expressing himself solely through the help of words displayed on a golden screen.
[It’s really annoying that I have no idea who among those people is in that continent right now… had it been on my peak… forget about it.]
Pausing as he found himself nearly reminiscing about something during his life on that timeline he destroyed by himself, the older Su Xiaotian stops as he realizes that he had been taking too much time awake, which is far, far from the predictions and estimations that he previously had.
[Well, that’s all that I can help with, we, you, need to deal with the rest yourself, I still need to save some energy for that day you reach those stages…]
The older Su Xiaotian said as the semi-transparent, floating golden screen froze for a second, before it was once again taken over by the intelligence that was usually making it work.
As he felt the presence of his previous version now disappearing once again, the immortal-like young man couldn’t help but turn serious, his eyes set on the far horizon in front of him, now with sunlight peeking at the very end of it, making him aware of the approaching end of this spatial corridor.
———-
After crossing through the pathway that connects the east and the west, the immortal-like young man found himself in a completely different land than what he had ever seen before. This one, despite possessing the same level of mystical landscapes that will set anyone into awe, has a different feeling compared to the things he had seen in the Eastern Continent.
‘The spirit qi here is…’ feeling something odd as he breathes in and out, Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but frown at the vast difference in the quality of the ambient spirit qi here, although not paling in comparison to the spirit qi in the Eastern Continent, it possesses an oddity that he just couldn’t point his finger at.
“$#%@&#*$@!*”
Hearing a voice calling him from afar, the immortal-like young man directed his attention to the vast open fields around him, seeing an older man approaching his location, the sound coming from said old man making him frown in confusion, before a thought appeared in his mind.
‘Good thing I have this…’ he thought as he recalled a specific technique that the main system had given him before, a technique that was finally being put to use once again after a long while.
[Intent Conversion and Translation]
[Description: Uses the intent within the speaker’s voice to translate what they want to say to the user of the technique. This works with any language, and the user can also use intent to send a message to the speaker, and they will understand it no matter what their language is]
As he runs the technique, Su Xiaotian gradually starts comprehending the random sounds coming out of the old man’s mouth, sensing the emotions within it at first. This old man’s voice, filled with a significant amount of urgency in it.
“What are you doing here? Where did you come from, boy, you better go away if not they will… ahh… no… too late… come, come here… hide with me…” As the old man asks with concern in his voice, something resounded from the distance, and from the source of the sound, an intent begins to expand, so vast to the old man that his face couldn’t help but turn multiple shades darker in just a mere moment, freezing him from his position for a few moments before he managed to regain himself.
Drawing in all the guts and courage he has, the old man pulled the immortal-like young man towards a certain direction, the young man, baffled from this stranger’s action, chooses to follow for now despite having full capacity to refuse doing so, all due to the fact that other than the things that the peculiar yet powerful Lucius had told him, there’s practically nothing that he knows about this place right now.
“Hey, you there!!” from right behind them, a full, prideful voice expanded, reaching their location with ease, causing the old stranger to freeze in his tracks as he ever-so-carefully turned around, afraid of doing something that might incur this individual’s ire.
“Y-yes sacred being, i-is there something that we can help you with?” turning around with a fawning smile on his olden, wrinkled face, this stranger asked with shaking tone as he turned around, extending his arms to shove the immortal-like young man behind him, all while bravely approaching the source of the powerful intent that seems to press down on him so much.
It was only now that the source of this overwhelmingly oppressive might finally reveals themselves, their stature straight and proud like a spear pointing towards the heavens, their appearance shouting of regal elegance, the blood-crimson pupil and the dirty, wheat-white hair something so unique to a certain fantasy race of the modern Earth that the immortal-like young man who came from said world immediately associated this newcomer to those beings.
“I wasn’t talking to you, peasant” clicking their tongue at the sight of the old stranger’s approaching, this white-haired existence replied with an obvious trace of annoyance in their tone, their hands already moving in a swift, swinging motion as if they’re swatting a fly.
It is also during this moment that the association with that certain race goes even stronger in Su Xiaotian’s mind, a swift, almost undetectable motion to the old stranger appearing all too slow for him, allowing him to see the intricacy of this individual’s motion.
Coming from their heart, the immortal-like young man’s eyes allows him to see a pure, blood-red energy to surge from the origin point before flowing through the part of their body the individual moved, in this case, their arms, the blood-red energy then reaching the tips of their fingers before it exploded outwards in a thin, yet sharp and strong thread threatening to slice everything in its path.
While all of this happens, the old stranger still walks towards the being, seemingly still half unaware of the dangers that are gradually approaching him, all while he approaches said danger as well, this blissful unawareness prompting the immortal-like young man to make his move.
‘Well, it’s my fault for meddling with another person’s business too much’ while Su Xiaotian thought that this old stranger is still unaware of the dangers that might befall him, said stranger, who is well aware of how this land works, already have an idea of what might become of himself, a helpless resignation in his mind and a wry smile in his mouth appearing as he closes his eyes is acceptance, thinking that this might be his final moments.
It wasn’t until moments later that he realized that he would still live for quite some time, a swift surge of strong breeze snapping his eyes open, allowing him to see the scene in front of him, no signs of the so-called sacred being, no sign of the young man he was helping, no signs of any sentient life in sight.
