Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 515 - 515: Definitely A Vampire

If there is anything that a vampiric creature hates the most in terms of cuisine, it’s most certainly garlic.
And unfortunately for this lady, Su Xiaotian, who’s lived already a decade and a half of his life in the Eastern Continent, the kind of food he has taken a liking to, more often than not, contains this basic seasoning in an abundant amount.
For this young man, it is most certainly a great thing. As for this lady, however…
For this first time in a long while of her life, the white-haired lady couldn’t help but feel a bit nauseous even when she’s already covering her cute, straight nose with her fair, pale white hand, the sharp, almond eyes with pupils usually shining a crimson ruby now a bit dark, scrunched up as if terrified of the abomination that is in the immortal-like young man’s meal.
Her small, oval face, usually with her pale, yet still charming complexion now tainted a shade of blue from disgust, wondering whether this was some form of torture the young man in front of her intended to make her go to.
Taking in yet another whiff of the anomaly in front of her, her straight, thin eyebrows couldn’t help but scrunch up as she closes her eyes, feeling like she might burn her eyeballs should she exposed it to the extreme spice in the dishes in front of her, her lids closed so tight that her long, curling lashes trembles to show the stress on her lids.
Seeing this lady acting like she is an innocent maiden staring at a gruesome scene of crime, Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but snicker a little, her actions pretty much confirming his suspicion that even if she is not what Earth media depicts as vampiric beings, she is similar to them, at the very least.
“W-what are you laughing at?” to prove this point of suspicion even further, the lady asked, slamming her hands on the edge of the table before realizing the mistake she had made, the scent, the aroma of the food wafting in the air now approaching her nose once more.
“You don’t need to slam your hand on the table, miss…” As if to add to her worry even more, the young man in front of her seems to take her previous action more seriously than the last, causing beads of sweat to start forming across her smooth forehead, dripping down her chin.
Nodding frantically to the young man’s words, she fails to find a reply to him time and time again, causing the table to turn silent as the only thing one can hear is the slurping sounds that Su Xiaotian makes every time he takes in some of the soup prepared in front of him.
Minutes passed, and there was only silence that continued to wrap the air around these two, the vampiric being, still wondering what sort of thing this young man was going to do to her, while the young man merely enjoyed his meal, taking in mouthful after mouthful, before his gaze landed on the lady once again.
“You’re not going to eat?” he asked with a tone of interest in his voice, already knowing that she couldn’t handle the things, the spices that were on the foods, but still wanting to see whether she would force herself to eat out of her obvious fear of him.
“I-I’m not hungry…” she outright refused while averting her face away from his gaze, unable to bear the sight as she felt like she is walking on tenterhooks every single passing moment, as if her life will just disappear and fade to nothing with the snap of his hand.
“Suit yourself then…” he said before he continued with his food, intending to finish his quick meal after a few more bites, as he intends to talk with this lady properly for information.
After a few more bites, the lady was baffled as she saw everything disappear in front of her, her ruby pupils immediately darting towards the immortal-like young man’s wrist, trying to search for a spatial storage like hers, only for her to get confused all the more as she saw nothing around his wrist.
“Quite the lovely scene we got here, don’t we?” looking at his side, the lady in front of him couldn’t help but also look at where his gaze at, only now dawning on her the fact that they are in quite the high place, a few meters away from them, a downhill continues all the way towards an open field, where people of all shapes and size works extremely hard to take care of the land.
What can be noticed is that in unison, these people were quite hunched in the back, almost as if they were working for far too long that they are now more than just tired, and given the level of senses the two of them has, it is also apparent to them the expressions, the mixture of lethargic helplessness, weeping despair and unmistakable terror painted on their faces.
“T-this is…” realizing what the young man is getting on, the lady immediately opened her mouth in an attempt to explain herself, only for her to be silenced as the young man’s presence starts to exert gravity once more, an immortal-like pressure descending from heavens above making the lady not only feel, but see things, the ground around her tainted a crimson red as far as her eyes can see, the surface reflective as earth mix with pungent, iron blood, bodies strewn in all forms and positions with barely any of them intact, most pierced with spears, swords, maces and axes.
While a great sight of terror plants the seed of anarchy below, what she sees above her is a pure reign of divine might as golden figure floats upon the skies, a figure, clad in the purest of gold standing tall and proud, exuding an oppressive might that made her genuinely think that all resistance, no matter where it come from, will be futile, and all one can do is yield and kneel in front of this immense force.
It wasn’t the end to her despair though as she felt another force coming from beneath her, the crimson blood making the surface of the earth reflective now flowing towards a certain, singular direction, flesh, bones, along with the blood congregating into a vast, crimson figure towering at the same height as the golden avatar, exuding a desolate, murderous intent making her feel extremely suffocated, like she’s a prey in the chopping board waiting to be slaughtered.
‘Elder Sister Xuanyuan’s intent is that terrifying to other people huh…’ seeing how this lady falls flat on the table with her back heaving from the suffocation, from the difficulty to breathe, Su Xiaotian thought, once again forgetting to take into account the fact that it is not only the scholarly Dao Xuanyuan’s intent that this vampiric lady is witnessing right now, but his intent as well.
Snapping himself out of his wondering as he felt like it had been a long while since he saw this intent from the lady herself, he found the vampiric being in front of him, grasping the hem of his clothes with her pale hand, as if a final attempt, another try to hold on for her dear life.
