“Forget about the explanations, I may not be a bad person but I am not all that good as well, what you do to them is none of my concerns…” dispersing the heavy weight of pressure bearing down on their surroundings, Su Xiaotian spoke as he uses his soul power to lift the lady up the ground, her terror-stricken gaze still locked on him, wondering what sort of rotten luck she has today for her to encounter a monster like this young man.

‘Even those people couldn’t measure up to him…’ she thought to herself as she recalls some individuals from her own race that she encounters every now and then, comparing them to the existence in front of her, and in every comparison, she gets all the more shocked as she comes to realize the fact that even those monsters pale in comparison to the person in front of her.

“…well, except for that old man with me before, take good care of him,” Su Xiaotian added after the short pause, taking note of the fact that despite seeing some people in his vicinity the moment he arrived here in the Western Continent, it was only that old stranger who showed his concern towards him.

“Y-yes, I will tell my people to take care of him….” Hearing his words, the vampiric lady can only agree with a trembling voice as she bows her head, acting servile as she was shown even more of this young man’s depth, the strength hiding beneath the surface, something she is all the more concerned about, especially when he exudes such a domineering air around him just by sitting, no less.

“Pft… hahah, you don’t need to act too scared…” he added as he watched the lady’s body tremble while she remained standing, her previous moody, snappy demeanor turning into the complete opposite as she stood there in a meek manner, her head still looking down at the ground and her small, pale hands clasped in front of her.

“A-after what you’ve just shown me, t-there’s just no way a-anyone won’t be t-terrified…” Closing her eyes to retort to his words, she said with a hint of hesitation apparent in her voice, afraid of the backlash of saying something like that.

Despite this hesitation, though, it is clear not to her, but to the young man listening, that it is courage that overwhelms that hesitation, allowing her to speak those words to him, causing him to smile in a hint of admiration, feeling like this lady might not be all that he initially assumed of after all.

“You wouldn’t properly answer my question otherwise, wouldn’t you?” he retorted with a genial smile on his face as he waves one of his hands, gesturing towards the rock stump of a chair that she previously made, the lady’s gaze turning wide as she watches her crude creation turn into something better as wood wraps around the base structure, eventually turning the stump into a proper chair.

“Y-your previous kidnapping was more than enough of a threat…” she replied as she moves towards the newly modified seat, her voice now eventually being rid of the nervousness, of the terror that she was once stricken with, and for the first time since their short meeting, she finally had the audacity, or rather, the courage, to properly take a look at the young man in front of her.

“You…” shock will be a sorry excuse of a word to describe the expression on her face right now. With her almond eyes wide like a saucer, and her ruby pupil going along with it, her mouth opens agape for a few moments before she recovers a sense of herself, her pale cheeks starting to form slight traces of crimson blush as a question pops into her mind.

‘How??’ being a vampire, it is common for this lady to see beauty all around her, people of the same race, whether men or women, holds appearance in high regard to the point that even if anyone can say that they are beings who are born graced with divine appearance, they still try their best to maintain or even improve their appearance, and for her, whose standards of beauty is high even among people of her own, to feel baffled staring into the person in front of her, tells a whole lot about this person’s charms.

“Is there something on my face” staring at the stiff lady in front of him, Su Xiaotian asked as he reaches out, waving his hand in front of her face, finally prompting her to snap out of this admiring daze, allowing her to realize that she just stared at this young man for a good while, and with an open mouth at that.

“T-there is nothing wrong with your face… I-I was just surprised b-because… y-yes!! Because I feel like I know someone who just looks like you! Yes, that…” she spoke in quite a slurred voice as she rigorously shook her head for a while before facing him again, her eyes still panicking as they moved all around, this time for a different reason than her previous terror of him.

“I see… I would like to meet this someone sometimes…” being around women for almost his entire life in this world, Su Xiaotian wasn’t oblivious, in fact, he is well aware of these kinds of signs, causing him to feel all the more amused as he watches this lady show all sorts of expressions, multiple sides of herself in the short span of time that they are talking to each other, making him feel like teasing this lady will be quite fun in its own way.

“Y-yes… if the chance allows it… hahaha” she said as she watched the amused smile creep towards his face, prompting her to avert her gaze once more as she laughed in a sheepish manner, slipping peeks at the young man’s face every now and then.

Smiling every time he caught her gaze on him, Su Xiaotian couldn’t help but feel entertained with the antics of this lady, making him think that his time on this Western Continent wouldn’t be all that bad if there was someone like her to accompany him along the way.

‘Such a pity that I couldn’t bring mom and the rest here, yet…’ he thought to himself as a decision was concluded in his mind, the words coming out of his mouth next something that this lady in front of her will think of as something that will change the course of her entire life.

“While I believe I don’t show any signs of it so far, I am quite certain that you’re already aware that I am not from this place in general, so what do you think of being a guide for this one?” he asked in a respectful manner, the vampire’s body frozen as she stares at the smile on his face, her mouth opens in an attempt to respond to his offer, but closes back again as she just fails to find her own voice, in the end causing her to just nod in agreement as she felt like there’s just no rejecting the person in front of her.

“C-come to think of it, I haven’t introduced myself yet…” she said, standing up from the seat made for her as she took a deep, curtsy bow before returning her gaze towards him once again as she spoke of herself.
