Cheat Cultivator's Ascension - Chapter 517 - 517: Liliana

While it might be true that there are vampiric characteristics in the lady in front of Su Xiaotian, it is undeniable that her race, or at the very least, she, also holds quite a difference compared to a normal entity whose main sustenance is other creatures’ blood.
One of those differences being the fact that right now, even under the bright sun shining on the two of them, her demeanor remains undisturbed by the light cast upon her pale, smooth skin, her smooth, white hair’s luster becoming all too apparent from the natural light as well, these then giving off the illusion of her being translucent even though she’s truly not.
“Mira Liliana van Sanguinis, sole direct descendant of the late Earl of Sanguinis, my mother… now, I am the holder of that title as well…” she paused as she bit the edge of her lips, seemingly trying to reign in the emotions welling from the depth of herself, emotions that she promised will never see the light of the day or the brilliance of the night anymore, so long as she’s alive.
With her attempted suppression of this intense surge of emotion, her pupils shimmer from the moisture of her tears threatening to fall from the corner of her eyes any second now, her smooth, fair cheeks now carnation pink from holding herself back, the light crimson lips perfectly complimenting her ruby eyes now dripping with blood as she bit on them way to harder than she is supposed to.
“That’s a fine name, Miss Liliana…” feeling like it is part his fault that this lady is feeling down right now, Su Xiaotian stood up from his seat and approaches where she is currently standing, raising one of his hands to give her a pat on the shoulders before moving past her, staring at the people taking care of the land some distance away from them.
“I hear that a lot” she replied as she weeps the tears falling down her cheeks before turning around towards where the young man is looking, all of this while she regains composure of herself, feeling a bit embarrassed that she revealed such sensitive side of her to a young man whose identity is something she isn’t even aware of, not to mention the fact that they just met some couple of minutes ago.
“That tone of yours when you’re talking about your mother, looks like you’ve been through a lot, Miss Liliana…” with his gaze remaining on the humans working on the field, Su Xiaotian continues to speak, his words, as it reaches the vampire lady’s ears, sounds particularly softer than how he talks before, making her wonder what brings such change.
“…I, I understand your sentiments extremely well, so as an exchange for being my guide in this place, you can tell me if there’s anything I can help with regarding your mother’s case…” Feeling a sense of similarity with the lady, most due to the experiences of loss that he had during that timeline he destroyed, he said in a gentle, seemingly assuring voice, his action rooted the lady at her current spot.
Feeling an odd sensation from her chest, her ample fronts couldn’t help but heave up and down, not from the severe weight of pressure of the challenges that often cause her to feel rotting inside, not from fear nor from confusion, but rather, a positive feeling that she had never felt in a while, relief, a relief that she seeks for a long time, a relief that she so ironically found at the least expected time, in the least expected place and person she could ever think of.
Staring at his back view, it is only now that she realizes that aside from his severely mesmerizing, lady-killer of a face, he stands straight like a spear, his stature tall, way above normal, the back view making her feel like he is some sort of pillar that can hold everything even if the skies collapse.
“Thank you… but those things are for mine to deal with, there are, however, things that I would like to learn from you as well” this vampiric lady, Liliana, said with a faint smile on her face as she looks down on the subjects of her rule, humans, who, she never really treated as an equal, and yet, almost as if some god of fate is toying, mocking her, a man from that very same race she felt is beneath hers made her feel all too small, like a frog staring up in the skies from the bottom of a well.
“Suit yourself then…” hearing her reply, Su Xiaotian said with an impressed smile on his face, never expecting her to turn down a direct help from him, perhaps it is because she still lacks the capacity to gauge his full strength or perhaps it is because she wants to achieve things she want all by herself, he will never know, still just the guts to refuse an offer of help from someone way more powerful than oneself is an impressive show of the will to resist temptations.
“So… what is it that you want to know about?” already assuming her role as this young man’s guide, Liliana asked after clearing her throat, her voice coming out slightly hoarse due to her attempts to stop herself from crying, this making Su Xiaotian spurt out an uncontrolled snicker causing her to stare at this young man in quite the annoyance.
“About that… I want to…” as he starts speaking his plans, his intents, with her, she couldn’t help but have her eyes widen as she felt like it is an all too troublesome way to do things, causing her to suggest other paths, paths that he refuses ever-so-often, only accepting some tidbits of her suggestions every now and then and incorporate it to his own, already formulated plans.
This was a surprisingly pleasant experience for the lady, even when there’s hardly anything that she suggested that slips past his plans, the discourse and arguments were something that she never expected would make her entertained in such a way that she keeps wanting more.
The two of them will continue for the greater part of this day, before they eventually conclude on the plan of the young man, a plan that will allow him to settle on this continent, all while also learning more and more things about this place of complete unfamiliarity to him.

Back in the field, a tall figure is working hard, making sure that the crops are growing fast and well, a smile on his handsome face, a genuine smile that reflects on his night black eyes, eyes that pair incredibly well with the same colored, long hair.
Despite the incredible appearance that will more than likely make even the gods jealous, though, no one among the other workers is willing to approach him, most likely due to the unique, incredibly overwhelming air around him, an air that can make even the strongest among these workers unable to properly breathe standing near his vicinity.
Lost in the thought of the things that he had learned about this place during the time he was staying here, his train of thought was interrupted as he heard voices approaching from the distance, their voices coming closer and closer to his direction as if it were exactly him that they were here for.
