Child of Destiny - Chapter 2083 - 2083: Generals and Dragons (Part 4)

……
Earrusall, also known as the Mountain Guardian within the Dragon Pavilion, was one of the secondary talons of the guild. He belonged to the secondary force of the Dragon Pavilion.
The Seven Dragon Talons were supposed to be the counterpart of the Nine Heads of the Hydra Guild.
However, in recent months, both sides had started showing their more elite groups, which made these most elite group to increase in number.
The Seven Dragon Talons had increased to ten while the Nine Heads turned into Thirteen Heads.
The so-called secondary force of the Dragon Pavilion, which Earrusall belonged to, was one of the hidden cards of the guild.
His role within the guild was quite special as well since his current abilities almost matched Martial Dragon’s, who was supposed to be the Chief Tank of the Dragon Pavilion and also known as the ‘Unbreakable God’ within the Godly Ranking List.
His status within the guild was also quite high due to this, which put him on the same level of authority as Monroe, the Branch Head of the Dragon Pavilion within the Saint Heaven Kingdom.
(First appearances, Chapter 159)
If the Dragon Talons were famous gods within the game and acted as the main pillars of the guild when it came to their combat strength, then the secondary unit was the hidden force moving in the shadows.
Their roles were usually either secret guards, monitors, and such on the surface when they were scattered in different branches of the guild. They were supposed to act as low profile as possible unless the situation urgently asked them to step forward, revealing themselves and their true abilities.
There were also instances where their direct superiors had assigned them to a certain task, just like what Earrusall currently had.
He was asked bythe Demonic Dragon to look after his little brother, who was one of the troublemakers within the guild.
Even though Earrusall hated this so-called “Young Master” of the guild, he still had to follow the orders of those in higher positions.
For a soldier, orders and honor are more important than anything else.
He had to deal with the tantrums of the so-called young master and reveal his true battle prowess.
It just happened that the elders within the guild had put a lot of importance on this operation, which required him to step in and deal with the current situation.
The side of Hydra Guild had also happened to send someone on the same level as him, which somewhat worked well for him.
Unfortunately, his current opponent was not the one that he was expecting.
However, on the brighter side, it worked quite well in a sense since he was facing one of the brightest talents within the game.
Dragon God Siegfried, who was said to be one of the candidates to be the successor of the Pavilion Master position of the Dragon Pavilion, was not for his refusal.
This legendary figure might be young, but no one could deny his talents and abilities.
However, being acknowledged by these members of the Dragon Pavilion, who were also loyal to Yuan, was something else.
Arthur might be strong and talented, but their current successor of Yuan, the current Pavilion Master of the guild, was equally strong and talented as him.
“One of the greatest geniuses among the Military Families, huh? Show me what you’ve got!” mumbled Earrusall while standing on the head of the Mountain Dragon that he just summoned.
…
On the platform of the Dragon Pavilion, Little Dragon, the so-called ‘young master’, was currently watching the ongoing battle with full enthusiasm because his ‘personal’ guard was the one who was currently fighting.
“That’s right, Earrusall! Teach that arrogant guy a lesson! Show him that being listed in the Godly Ranking List is not a big deal!” he was shouting excitedly while watching the intense battle.
“Others said that the secondary units are the substitute members of the ‘Dragon Talons’ because their skills and abilities are not that far from the said elite force of the guild.”
“However, there is still a clear gap between them and those from the Dragon Talons.”
“But there are quite a few notable individuals who were capable of matching the level of those from the most elite force of the guild!”
“Earrusall was among these few individuals!” he constantly opened his mouth, spitting out praises to this ‘personal’ guard of his.
“Let’s see if that arrogant guy still calls himself the Dragon God after Earrusall have teach him a lesson!” he said smugly, seemingly ignoring the fact that no one was actually listening to him.
…
Roar! Roar!
Back on the battlefield, a pair of colossal dragons appeared amid the chaotic storm of mana and a thick cloud of smoke and dust.
These pairs of dragons were constructs created by Arthur and Earrusall with their respective elemental powers.
Under their command, the two dragons immediately pounced at each other.
Roar! Roar!
Boom!
Immediately after, the two colossal beings wrestled against each other, swinging their sharp talons and attempting to bite each other.
Bang! Bang!
The Mountain Dragon was being protected by its earth scale, which blocked all the deadly strikes of its counterpart. This made the sharp talons of the Glacial Dragon either bounce off its scales or leave a bit of scratches on its surface.
Boom! Boom!
On the other hand, the Glacial Dragon under Arthur’s command was fighting as ferociously as its master. It was constantly attacking the opposing dragon, trying to pierce through the defenses of the opposition with its sharp talons and powerful jaws.
Unfortunately, the defense of a Mountain Dragon was much stronger than expected. Most of its attempts were repeatedly repelled by those earthen scales, making its attacks somewhat underwhelming.
However, the opposing side was also in a similar situation since the ice armor that the Glacial Dragon possessed was equally strong as its defenses.
It was also constantly regenerating every time it got damaged by its opponent’s attacks, putting the latter in a somewhat troublesome situation.
Both sides were unable to absolutely gain an advantage due to their respective defenses.
However, as the battle progressed, changes started to appear one after another.
Earrusall started to notice that there was something wrong with the current situation as well, especially when he realized that Arthur was only using ice elements when they had summoned their respective dragon constructs.
He immediately realized what was wrong when he saw that the armor that his Mountain Dragon possessed was currently in a somewhat darker color, indicating that it was affected by something, which was most likely water.
The entire earthen armor was currently drenched without his notice.
“Tsk! I have fallen into his trap!” he frowned deeply after releasing what his opponent was planning.
Arthur was planning to use his water element to soften the earthen armor before hardening it once again, making it somewhat brittle.
However, despite the current predicament, Earrusall remained calm and responded to the situation accordingly.
He urged the Mountain Dragon to leap a bit higher and slammed its body into the Glacial Dragon, forcing it to stumble and go under it.
Immediately after, he took the initiative to collapse the earth dragon construct, causing the huge pieces of rock to suddenly fall.
Boom!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Glacial Dragon that was supposed to under it was suddenly buried by the pile of giant boulders, robbing it of its movements.
It did not just end there since Earrusall had followed it with another highly advanced technique.
While the giant boulders were falling, he used them as platforms to reach a higher altitude. Upon reaching the apex, he suddenly raised both his battle hammers over his head while gathering an overwhelming amount of mana.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
A moment later, the accumulation of mana reached its peak, summoning a huge storm of dust and rocks around him.
‘Mountain Dragon Form: Earthen Storm’
BOOM!
When he swung his battle hammers down, the spinning storm swiftly fell and rushed toward Arthur and the Glacial Dragon, who were currently trapped by the collapsed body of the mountain dragon construct.
Arthur, who was standing calmly on top of the head of the Glacial Dragon, calmly stared at the descending storm.
Unfortunately for his opponent, the smirk underneath his was currently hidden by his dragon helmet.
Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!
While the spiraling storm was heading straight to Arthur and the Glacial Dragon, the sound of the crackling lightning could be heard from the sky.
This sound stiffened Earrusall for a moment, making a bad premonition about what was about to come.
In response to it, he swiftly gathered another huge amount of earth elemental mana before surrounding his body with a thick layer of earthen armor.
BOOM!
Not long after, a pillar of lightning suddenly fell from the sky, striking Earrusall and the chaotic earth storm that he had summoned.
Along with a flash of blinding light, this lightning pillar descended straight to Arthur and the Glacial Dragon, sweeping through everything on its path.
BOOM!
……
