Child of Destiny - Chapter 2172 - 2172: Titan Guild's Gods of the Sea

……
Felix and Felicia were standing across Poseidon and Njord, full of wariness.
They were expecting to bump into some people from the Titan Guild at the very least, since they should have enough insight to figure out their true intention with everything that they had done up until now.
However, they were not expecting to meet with people as big as these two. One of them was a Vice Faction Leader, while the other was a Head Admiral. These titles were not jokes either, especially the former, who was widely known as the Sea God and Earth Shaker.
Njord might not be as famous as Poseidon, but he had a decent reputation within the circle of experts, known as strong as the latter.
Poseidon was a high-ranking Godlike Player who had won quite a few title tournaments, while Njord was an extremely strong Maverick God known for defeating quite a lot of Godlike Players under his belt.
It was also widely recognized that these two were undefeated in water. Even the leaders of the three factions within the Titan Guild acknowledged that they might be much weaker than these two in aquatic battle.
The two immediately understood why these two were sent by the Titan Guild, especially when they were the ones who spread the information about the portal through the information brokers they connected with.
This was one of their aims as well. After all, they now had no manpower after disbanding their guild, so they required some people to lend them a hand when pioneering the other side of that portal.
“Greetings, Mister Felix and Miss Felicia. I trust you know why we are here, right?” greeted Poseidon with a smile while stepping forward.
He was the one tasked to lead this operation, so he had to make sure that there were no accidents would happen.
He first thought that this was going to be quite an easy negotiation, given that the other party came from a small guild in such an isolated kingdom.
The Titan Guild thought of extending their influence on this place before so that they could cover the Wilderness Jungle from both sides.
However, since this place was way too isolated and had been evaluated as a less profitable kingdom, the plan had been delayed for quite a long time.
Their initial plan was to find a decent guild that they could annex in this place since it was much faster than establishing a branch, which would require them to allocate some people in the process.
The Rise Guild was among the guilds that they had their eyes on, but who would have thought that the situation would even out like this?
Squinting his eyes, Poseidon could not help but see these two before him in a new light. He first thought that Felix was someone who would have decent leadership, especially when he managed to bring the entire Rise Guild to the top of this small kingdom from the ground up.
However, from what he was seeing, this guy seemed to be hiding something quite deeply. He had met with powerful powerhouses of the game daily, so he was quite familiar with the air that they had around them.
From what he was seeing, this guy before him was not as simple as their information had projected.
‘This guy is not just some guy talented in leading. His strength is hidden quite deeply,’ he thought while frowning. ‘He should be on the same level as a Vice Faction Leader at the very least.’
He then turned his gaze toward Felicia, who was standing slightly behind Felix. ‘This girl is quite powerful as well. Even I sense an immense threat coming from her.’
Their information had only told them that Felicia was at least a god-level player, but he was not expecting that her threat level was way too high.
Together with Felix, Poseidon was not confident that they could deal with them, even with the people that they had brought.
Of course, it was a different case when it came to aquatic battle. However, they were currently in a dense forest, which limited their power quite a lot, so they had to be careful with this negotiation.
Poseidon immediately disregarded the fact that the other party was from a small guild of a small kingdom, treating them as equals.
They were here to negotiate the rights to explore the other realm, and not to rob the other party.
Seeing the sudden change of attitude from Poseidon, Felix could not help but raise his brows a little, seeing the other party in a new light.
‘I guess those from the top guilds are different. They are quite fast at understanding the situation and changing their pace,’ he thought.
He then smiled and spoke. “Since we are on the same page now, how about starting to start negotiating now? Or do you prefer to deal with those guys first?”
Understanding what the other party was talking about, Poseidon turned his gaze toward another direction, where a bunch of people were hiding.
“Njord, protect our VIPs. Let me deal with that guy first,” he said before walking in that direction.
Felicia frowned quite deeply, seemingly not liking Poseidon’s words. In her mind, they did not need the other party to protect them.
Sensing the sudden change in her mood, Felix slightly turned his head to look over his shoulder. He then smiled at her, telling her to calm down.
“Hmph!” Felicia refused to comment and turned her head to the side.
Njord naturally noticed their little interaction and quickly understood the meaning behind it. However, he did not say anything since he also understood that no expert would acknowledge their weaknesses, especially when they believed that they could fight against equally strong experts.
Even Njord could sense the threat coming from this girl, so he did not dare to underestimate her.
…
In the meantime, in the direction where the group was facing, a figure was standing on a tree branch quite leisurely while waiting for Poseidon to come over.
He was not hiding his appearance at all, fully revealing his overall features.
He was a demonic player, which had an incredibly evil when compared to other members of the Demonic Churches.
He was wearing a set of armor that had a mixture of black and azure hue on them. He also had a dark cloak that seemed to be constantly emitting a dense, icy fog that was silently blending with the surroundings.
At the center of his forehead, there was a horn that was sticking out and curving upwards, indicating that he was an elite True Demon.
Squinting his eyes, Poseidon could not help but say. “Leviathan. I am not expecting you to appear here. I heard that the Pandemonium Descendants are busy with the relocation of your main base to the Hell Realm.”
Hearing those words, Leviathan, the Envy Devil of the Pandemonium Troupe, chuckled. “You are also here for the same reason, right? Don’t make it sound as if I am not welcome here.”
“You are indeed not welcome here,” said Poseidon with a heavy tone.
Leviathan chuckled when he heard the warning tone that the other party had. “You may put up a good fight if we are inside the water, Poseidon. However, I don’t think you will be able to give me that much trouble in this place.”
“Is that so? How about you give it a try?” asked Poseidon while raising his brows before suddenly extending his right hand in front of him.
Swoosh!
Along with a grabbing motion, a divine trident was suddenly summoned, releasing a majestic and holy aura.
“I heard that you have managed to elevate your race into a True Demon. I wonder how strong a True Demon can be,” he said while giving the opposing party a provoking look.
Seeing that divine trident, Leviathan could not help raising his brows a little, especially when he could sense an immense pressure coming from it.
“You guys have successfully found that Legendary Weapon, huh?” he said with a somewhat heavy tone, but did not show any panic.
The elevation of his race was different from that of regular Demonic Players since he was one of the selected ‘vessels’ that Lucifer, the Great Leader of the Pandemonium Descendants, had personally selected.
The power that he possessed was way above those regular dregs that managed to be lucky enough to become a True Demon.
Boom!
A dreadful and suffocating aura was suddenly released from his body as he looked at the opposing party. “It has been a while since we have clashed against each other, oh so great Sea God Poseidon.”
“I think this is a good opportunity to remind everyone that those top Godlike Players are not as powerful as they seem to be,” he added with an eerie voice.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Not long after, a bunch of demonic players revealed themselves one after another, standing at the opposing end of Poseidon.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
At the same time, the experts from the Titan Guild that Poseidon and Njord had assembled for this operation had started to appear one by one, standing on a face-off against the opposing force.
