Chapter 2313 Leaving Kulas Behind(2)
“We will leave this continent.”
“Huh?”
Ren Xia looked at Tian Yang with wide eyes, as those were his first words after returning.
“What about Kulas?”
Tian Yang shook his head and sighed.
Then, he explained the entire situation to her.
“I get the gist of the situation, but… Are you really going to leave him behind?” Ren Xia looked at him with a worried frown.
Although she was slightly worried for Kulas, she was far more concerned for Tian Yang in this sort of situation, as it could easily develop into a heart demon in the future.
Tian Yang wore a resolute expression on his face as he replied, “I am not leaving him behind. But it’s also true that we cannot help him—at least not in our current state. Once we leave, I will focus on trying to breakthrough to the next realm and figure out what these Eternals want from us!”
“If Kulas even lasts long enough for us to help him…” Ren Xia remarked.
Tian Yang clenched his fists and said, “Kulas is strong… I believe that he won’t do something as foolish as ending himself!”
“Anyway, we’re leaving at dawn, and we’ll be taking whoever wants to leave with us.”
“All of them?” Ren Xia raised an eyebrow.
“Of course not. I will only take those who haven’t been affected by the illness, and those who are willing to leave with us.”
“But only some of his wives and daughters aren’t affected…” Ren Xia narrowed her gaze at him.
Tian Yang sighed, “Relax, I have no intention of touching Kulas’ family, even if he is no longer here.”
“I didn’t say anything, though,” she said.
“But I know what you’re thinking.”
“Do you, really?” Ren Xia sneered. “I was actually thinking that if you truly had some feelings for them, I wouldn’t mind accepting a few more sisters.”
Tian Yang looked at her wide eyes, his gaze full of disbelief.
He shook his head and sighed, “This isn’t the time for jokes. Let’s get ready to leave.”
“I wasn’t joking, though…” she muttered.
A few hours later, Tian Yang and Ren Xia went to the front gate and waited for dawn, which was only an hour away.
Half an hour later, a large group of people, around two hundred, walked out of the palace with a heavy atmosphere around them.
This entire group consisted of women, with more than half of them being Kulas’ wives. Since the daughters were more closely connected to Kulas by blood, they were more likely to be affected by the Kulas’ bloodline.
Naturally, Tian Yang had noticed long ago that the women were less likely to be affected by the illness, but there was nothing he could really do, even with that information.
When the group stopped before them, one of them stepped forward and said, “This is everyone who hasn’t been affected by the illness yet. We all had a long talk, and although we all showed up, not all of us will leave. Some of us have decided to stay behind and remain with our husbands.”
Soon, about a third of the group separated from the rest and approached Tian Yang.
“We have all decided to leave with you…”
Tian Yang looked at the group. There were several that he recognized and some that he didn’t. Those he recognized consisted of Chao Shuying, Xie Mey, and the women who asked him to embrace them in Kulas’ stead in the past.
As for those who decided to stay behind, most of them were Kulas’ earliest wives—those who had been there since the beginning.
“That’s all?” Tian Yang asked to confirm.
“Yes, we have all decided to stay here with our husband, regardless of what happens.”
Tian Yang nodded.
“Good luck. I’ll leave Kulas in your care.”
Tian Yang didn’t linger and immediately left the continent with Ren Xia and those who willingly followed him.
Meanwhile, inside his own room, Kulas held a dagger in his grasp, pointing the sharp blade toward his own chest.
“So he’s finally left…” he muttered.
Once he confirmed that Tian Yang had left, a determined light flickered within his gaze.
“I will not let you harm my brother, Zaaran, even if it’s the last thing I do!”
Without hesitation, Kulas brought the dagger toward his heart, piercing it.
Kulas’ body fell onto the ground the next moment, quickly creating a puddle of blood, and the light in his eyes dimmed.
However, just as the light faded and almost vanished, it suddenly brightened, even turning bright red.
He lifted himself off the ground and muttered, “What a foolish mortal. Did you really think you’d be able to stop me with such cowardly tricks?”
Zaaran looked into the distance and smiled.
“Now that the interference is gone, I can finally finish the transformation.”
Shortly after Tian Yang left the Giant Continent, he suddenly halted and turned around.
“That’s…”
His eyes widened when a crimson sphere appeared out of thin air and enveloped the entire continent, resembling the Immortal Ensaring Vault used by the Immortal Clans in the past.
“What is that?!” Xie Mey exclaimed after seeing the crimson dome. “I will be right back!”
Tian Yang gritted his teeth and immediately rushed back to the continent. However, the crimson barrier completely blocked his attempt. He tried to destroy the barrier, but even his strongest attack was unable to leave a mark on it.
“What are you doing?”
When he attempted to launch another attack, Ren Xia suddenly appeared behind him and stopped him. “You have already decided to leave Kulas behind. You can’t turn back now, no matter what happens from this point forth.”
“I…”
“What can you do even if you return now?” she sighed.
“…”
After a moment of silence, Tian Yang turned around and returned to the group.
“Sorry for the delay. Let’s leave quickly,” he said to them before speeding into the horizon, away from the Giant Continent.
Soon, news of the Giant’s Continent being covered in a crimson dome that even the Three Pillars of Heaven couldn’t penetrate spread throughout the world.
