Dark Magus Returns - Chapter 1732 Decending (Part 2)

Chapter 1732 Decending (Part 2)
Idore was seen turning back around and went through his double doors, as he did he had gone into a throne room of sorts that was filled with mages in the same uniform they were usually in at either side.
The room was silent the moment he entered, the air itself feeling heavier, as if the mana in the space responded to his presence. None of the mages moved from their positions. They didn’t need to. Their discipline was absolute, and their confidence in their leader was the same.
“I’m heading out, remember to stick to the procedure.” Idore said. “Be ready if anyone makes it to the third wall. This is a true test for you all, not a single person should ever live if they make it into the third wall… and you know what to do and be ready for what’s to come.”
The mages gave a slight nod but didn’t say anything out loud, as Idore continued to walk, and then exiting through the door to the hallway and entering one of the rooms he walked out to a rather large balcony where he could feel the fresh air.
The wind brushed against his robes gently, yet it didn’t disturb him. He stood there for a moment, looking over the land below, as if assessing something that had already been decided in his mind. There was no urgency in his expression, no sign of concern.
After that, he started to float in the air, using his wind magic, and began to move towards the battle. The mages below in the third area looked up, and they had large smirks on their faces, because they could only imagine what was going to happen now that Idore himself had decided to join the fight.
There was no rush, there was no urgency in Idore as he just moved along, because in his mind he was already the strongest being that existed in all of Alterian. Which begged the question why did he decide to come out.
Perhaps it was because a person who should have died several times over, was managing to survive somehow, and Idore needed to see it for himself.
That’s when Alba could see it as she looked in the distance the man that was floating their way towards them.
“Do you get the feeling that this one… is bad news.” Alba commented. “If he joins and meddles in Raze’s fight it could be seriously bad news, we should do everything we can to stop him.”
“Stop him?” Rayna said. “Why don’t we do one step better and get rid of him so Raze doesn’t have to deal with him.”
Raze’s struggle against Trubin was continuing and it was a pattern that Raze was unable to break. No matter what skills he used no matter what angle he came from with both of his swords he couldn’t hit Trubin.
The distance between them wasn’t large, yet it felt impossible to cross. Every attempt was the same. Push forward. Lightning descends. Force him back. Reset.
Trubin now seemed to be the one who had got into a rhythm using lightning strikes to attack Raze’s weapons and sometimes even go for his arm. Raze had also improved having reflex reactions that pulled his arms back just before they were hit, but it stopped him from attacking his opponent.
It was becoming a battle of timing. Trubin was forcing Raze to react. Raze was trying to force Trubin to defend. Yet every time Raze moved in, the sky answered for Trubin.
Then if Raze even did get any close, that was when Trubin would just attack himself with his own attack.
“Raze I can see your power weakening!” Idore claimed from afar. “That black hole towards your back, it seems like it’s been getting quite a bit smaller. While my lightning strike the area may be getting smaller but I still have plenty to use. I’ve stopped striking at your back, so your power must be dwindling now.
“How does it feel, that you know you will lose when it’s only a matter of time.”
Raze swung his sword even fiercer but it wasn’t resulting in anything.
‘Sabrina, the person I’ve been chasing, the person that killed you on our anniversary is right in front of me, and I can’t do anything!’
Raze thought as he thrusted his sword and again, Trubin just struck himself with the bolts of lightning pushing Raze back.
The shockwave rolled across the ground once more. Raze steadied himself.
‘Wait it’s getting smaller…’ Raze thought. ‘And his lightning, it doesn’t affect himself, why is that? Is it another property of Dark Magic? I guess, since the Dark magic is part of our core that is coming out of our body, then why would it affect the user. Unlike regular Mana that is converted into an element, the Breakthrough’s are treated slightly different.
‘As it’s all partly connected to our mana core… then.’
The thought wasn’t fully formed yet, but something had clicked.
Raze continued to strike the lightning, he went through pushing forward, and Trubin thought once again this was just a useless attempt just like all the other useless attempts before.
And that’s when Raze managed to get through, and was ready with his sword. He went to pierce right ahead, and Trubin did the same as he always did.
The lightning struck down.
“Trubin! You’re too predictable!” Raze shouted.
In his other hand, there was no sword, and Raze didn’t push away or let the attack hit him, he pushed with all of the Qi he had to move himself forward, and in his hand, there was a small condensed black sphere.
The black sphere that was behind Raze, had been condensed down. Raze could control its size, and not just that, he could pass it through his body.
It felt unnatural. The sphere vibrated with the same pressure as the larger one, yet it was dense, compact, heavy in a way that didn’t match its size. It pulled at the mana in the air even before touching anything.
“I don’t know what this will do, but I’m hoping it will get rid of you!” Raze claimed as he thrusted the small black sphere and it touched Trubin’s skin.
For a brief moment there was resistance.
Then the lightning that covered Trubin’s body started to absorb into it.
The dark lightning that had been protecting him, that had repelled every blade, that had forced Raze back again and again, began to bend toward the sphere.
“Expand!” Raze shouted as the black ball started to get bigger, and it encased the two of them.
