Chapter 1778: Magic Here?

As Raze walked towards the singular large building, it almost reminded him of when he had first gone to the Dark Faction Academy. There were particular thoughts going through his head, as he wondered whether or not he was doing the right thing.

Causing a mess the moment he had entered the Divine realm, it was putting a target on him, and maybe everyone related to him as well. However, he couldn’t help but worry that something might have happened to Safa, and time was incredibly important.

So he needed to search for her fast, and get as strong as possible.

“I can see it, I can see some are making their way towards me,” Raze said, as he started to form a lightning bolt in his hand. One had leapt into the air with a giant axe over their shoulder, aiming directly for him without hesitation.

So Raze then threw the lightning bolt, hitting his body. It pierced straight through, sending them crashing to the ground, but they quickly stood up and charged from the floor due to the Qi in their body.

So Raze placed the sword right by his hip, and then at the perfect time, used the Void Pulse as he thrust his weapon forward, Qi added with magic. The sword pierced through the axe, breaking it, and pierced through his body. Not wasting any time, Raze placed his hand on top of the man’s head and started the extraction technique, taking what Qi he could from him.

Raze was using his powers quickly and wasn’t hesitating, as he could see more were coming his way, and it wasn’t just a small amount of warriors either. Their numbers were increasing by the second, spreading out and approaching him from multiple directions.

’This might become rather troublesome. I expected a fight as soon as I got here, but not one at this scale!’

Raze chucked the body to the side, as he could see one of the warriors that had come at him was holding a bow. They fired it out at a distance after making a jump, and it went to hit him with incredible speed.

Raze used lightning magic on his feet as well as a lightning technique to move rather quickly. The arrow crashed into the floor, and a powerful explosion occurred where he had been, creating a small crater in the ground.

The arrows continued to follow, crashing into the ground one after the other, each one causing explosions that tore into the surface below. Yet Raze was still able to quickly move through the area, weaving between the impacts with precise movements.

As he moved though, another person appeared right in front of him, with a dagger aimed at his neck.

Raze lifted his sword, being able to deflect the strike just in time, but his hand was shaking from the pure power behind the attack.

’All of these guys are high-level warriors. Even if I have the advantage with magic, that’s mostly in a one-on-one. This is going to be trickier than I thought, but if I continue to use the extraction technique, I should be able to keep fighting and continue to get stronger and stronger. But I’m not a fool. If I run into a stage eleven or a stage twelve Pagna warrior, even with all my strength, I will be dealt with on the spot.’

Seeing quite a few of the warriors coming from the building, Raze used the Eclipse Strike as he swung his sword down, and a large mass amount of power erupted out. It had hit some of the warriors, sending them back and bouncing off the ground.

It didn’t kill them like it would have warriors that were still in Pagna, but what it did do was slow down a large majority of the group’s advance, as they realized they weren’t dealing with a typical person.

For a moment, Raze stopped, and before he knew it, he was surrounded by several warriors, with more of them coming from all directions. Their presence alone filled the area, their Qi flaring, pressing down on him from every side.

’Should I use the Eternal Night formation? It might be my best bet to defeat all of these. If I do meet with a higher stage that’s in the building, I always have my breakthrough as well, and I still have the items on my body that I haven’t used.’

Raze was referring to his god-tier cloak that he currently had.

Lastly, there was even time magic. These Divine warriors hadn’t even scratched the surface of what he could do. There were still so many abilities that he hadn’t revealed, and yet even with that, the pressure from their sheer numbers was undeniable.

When one of the warriors went to move forward though, Raze saw something strike him from above, and his whole body shook, staying in place, completely frozen for a moment.

“What… that can’t be… is that… was that… magic?”

Right after Raze saw that, a man who was covered in a robe landed right on the ground, just meters away from Raze. The impact was light, controlled, as if he had complete mastery over his movement.

The surrounding warriors hesitated for a split second, clearly noticing the same thing Raze had.

“I have been waiting for you… but first, let’s get out of here,” the man claimed. “Otherwise, the situation will become really difficult for the both of us.”

Raze didn’t lower his guard, but for the first time since arriving, something had interrupted the overwhelming flow of enemies. The pressure around him had shifted slightly, enough for him to recognize that this person was different from the rest.

The battlefield hadn’t calmed, but the focus had changed.
