Dark Magus Returns - Chapter 1781: I’ve Been Waiting

Chapter 1781: I’ve Been Waiting
Raze already knew that there were many after the Golden Globe. For one, Idore wanted it so he could travel to the Divine realm and fight against them, although Raze imagined Idore’s plan would have failed despite all of the Grand Magus building up their power as much as possible.
Yet, it also worked the other way around. They wanted to use it so they could get out of the Divine realm, but not only that, but to also limit their power.
“Although their power is limited if they leave the Divine realm, they are still strong,” Bofan claimed. “And if they continue to use portals to explore, there are chances they could try and use other ways to target your friends and allies.”
Bofan then lifted his hand up and gestured towards Raze with all his fingers showing.
“There are only five stage twelve warriors in the Divine realm, and each of these warriors is as strong as the others. They are the ones that rule the Divine realm. They are in constant battle against each other, trying to grow their forces over one another.”
“Reaching the twelfth stage is rather difficult, and what’s worse is even if there is an individual that is growing in power, they are targeted rather quickly. And just to put it in context, even I, with how long I have been up here, am at the eleventh stage.”
Every individual varied with how quickly they progressed and grew. Raze knew that, and he also knew that his progression had to be one of the fastest in all of Pagna.
“Because of that, there are five factions that control the Divine realm, and annoyingly they control the portals across the vast land, and also control all of the portals that will allow for Divine warriors to descend.”
“Which leaves a person with only a few options, to join one of the factions for protection and the chance of returning to Pagna, or to fight on your own. But those that have been brave enough to challenge these leaders have suffered greatly for it.”
The images of two came to mind, one of them being B, and the other being Belil.
“Of course, that’s also a way to descend due to how much power the twelve stages have, but most of the time those warriors end up dead,” Bofan explained. “So I want to ask you…”
“What do you plan to do?”
The question lingered in the air, heavier than anything else that had been said so far.
“You can head to one of these factions and see if they are willing to protect those from below. If they get their hands on the Golden Globe, then all of the group might be spared because of it, but there is a chance that this might not happen.”
“Why would they listen to you, unless you can give them great merit? Although a person with your strength would be able to become rather high-ranked in their faction, so they would be inclined to listen to you.”
Raze stood up as he heard the words, his mind already running through a number of different situations.
Each possibility played out quickly in his head, but none of them sat right with him.
“You’re missing out another option, and it seems you are doing so on purpose,” Raze said.
“I will protect all of those that are close to me. I don’t want to lose anyone anymore, not a single person, and I’ve never been the type to work under anyone or just believe in their trust.”
His voice wasn’t loud, but it was firm. There was no hesitation in his words, no doubt behind them. Raze had gone through a lot, and there was something else he believed he had that Bofan didn’t. He had a true Dark Magic core, that worked against the warriors bodies, and he also had the extraction technique.
A way for him to build on top of his strength getting stronger and stronger each time, a way for him to get rid of everyone who came in his way.
Bofan then stood up himself, and he had the largest smile on his face.
“I could tell you were different the moment I met you,” Bofan said. “I’m going to be honest with you, I am the same as you. I went through a lot of what you went through, but I failed.I failed to fight against those in the Divine Realm here…but I always wanted to face them, so all I could do was wait.”
“I know I don’t have the power to face them, so I hid here and did my best, waiting for someone who I could help.”
There was no shame in his voice, only honesty.
“I will teach you everything I know. I will aid you along the way, because I too care about all of the people of Pagna, and not just Pagna. If these Divine faction leaders get their hands on the Golden Globe, who knows what worlds will be in trouble, including Alterian.”
Raze listened carefully, understanding the weight behind Bofan’s words.
This wasn’t just about power anymore. It was about everything that could be affected by it.
“So that other answer you were looking for… well, it’s simple, right?” Bofan said.
“A way to keep everyone safe… is to become the strongest person in the Divine realm.”
The words were simple, but the meaning behind them was anything but.
To become the strongest meant going against those who ruled everything. It meant facing those at the very top, those who had spent countless years building their power.
But Raze didn’t flinch.
Because to him, there wasn’t another choice.
