Debuff Master - Chapter 1108

Chapter 1108
“I’ll take the donations later, everyone.”
Tae-Sung finally tried to calm the viewers.
Trying to have any kind of communication with the viewers was completely impossible right now, as five million viewers had already tuned in, not even an hour since the livestream began.
The mass influx of viewers turned the chat window into chaos itself, as different languages from all over the world started flooding it.
As a result, the chat was scrolling too fast, making it impossible to read.
“Please donate later, okay?”
Despite the chaos, Tae-Sung never explicitly told them to stop donating.
“Let’s save the chat for later. I started this stream because I have something important to tell you all.”
Tae-Sung paused the chat altogether and got to the point. Had he left the donations and chat open, he would have wasted the entire live stream just reading names and thanking people for their donations without saying what he actually wanted to say.
“The reason I went live today is that…” Tae-Sung began explaining the current situation in BNW.
He told them exactly what was happening, that the angels were about to descend upon the continent through the Celestial Gate, and how there would be no stopping the disaster that would decimate the continent once that happened.
“This is seriously bad. If the angels descend onto the continent, then the game will be finished. I am not joking right now—I mean it. The angels will destroy everything, and there will be nothing left. If that happens, this game, the most popular game in the world, BNW, will shut down.”
His words sent shockwaves through the audience.
BNW was the most successful virtual reality game of the era that boasted hundreds of millions of players from around the world.
It was not just hardcore players like Tae-Sung who enjoyed the game, as there were also tons of players who enjoyed the peaceful fantasy life the game had to offer.
The widely successful and popular game could actually end? This news truly came out of nowhere. In fact, this was so shocking that the sheer volume of chat messages could crash the whole G-Tube server if he were to unfreeze the chat.
“You’re all shocked, right? I’ve been trying everything I can to stop it. But… I’ve reached my limit. I can’t stop this alone.”
With that, Tae-Sung got to his main point.
“I need your help, all of you. Please, help me, fight alongside me. Let’s protect the game we all love, together.”
His heartfelt plea went on for about thirty minutes. He spoke about the joy and happiness he had experienced while playing BNW.
Then, at the end, he once again begged for their support. He asked everyone to join him in battle against the angels that would descend once the Celestial Gate opened.
“That is all I wanted to say for now. The chat will be too chaotic and impossible to follow, so I’m ending the live stream here. If you’ve got any questions, please leave them on the community page. I will try my best to respond over there,” Tae-Sung said. Then, with a slight bow, he said, “Thank you, everyone.”
And with that, the live stream ended.

Tae-Sung’s live stream immediately made headlines, as news articles exploded across every major news outlet.
His words made headlines in Korea and became a global issue as well.
‘Perfect. They will come, without a doubt,’ Tae-Sung smiled as he watched the news spreading like wildfire.
He had no doubt that the Adventurers would rally behind him.
Why?
It was all because he wasn’t the only one who wanted BNW to survive. Whether they liked him or hated him, all of them loved BNW. None of them wanted to lose this game they loved. Thus, helping Tae-Sung and stopping the angels was the obvious choice for those who loved this virtual reality world.

As soon as he logged in, Siegfried headed straight for the Demon Realm.
Once he arrived, he summoned all the demon lords. Now that he had ascended as the new Demon King, he wielded the authority to summon the demon lords whenever he pleased. He looked around the conference hall and asked, “Is everyone here?”
“…”
None of the demon lords responded.
All of them stayed completely silent, as if they were mute statues.
Why?
It was all because even though he was crowned the new Demon King, none of them were ready to acknowledge him yet. Without a doubt, their pride played a part in it, as bending the knee to an upstart half-blood like Siegfried didn’t sit well with them.
However, the bigger reason was that Siegfried hadn’t won the throne through some grand display of dominance or a blood conquest. He had yet to prove himself in the “demon way.”
In fact, the second most powerful demon in the realm, Belial, went as far as to turn his head away in an open expression of dissatisfaction.
‘These damn bastards…’
Siegfried’s eyes gleamed with annoyance and frustration.
‘I don’t have time for your childish crap…’
Then, his annoyance turned into anger.
“Hey, everyone except Metatron—on the ground. Now,” Siegfried said in a low voice.
The demon lords looked puzzled, as if they couldn’t understand what they had just heard.
“A-Ahng…?”
For some reason, Dampires seemed to have completely misunderstood what Siegfried meant, as he went on top of the conference table and went down on all fours with his behind stick up.
“Hey, are you deaf or stupid? I said, everyone but Metatron—face down ass up, on the floor, now,” Siegfried repeated himself.
“Erm… Seniors? I believe His Majesty the Demon King wants you to put your heads on the floor with your backsides raised,” Metatron explained, sounding awkward.
Even so, the demon lords hesitated. They exchanged glances and fidgeted, but none of them moved, except for one.
“As you command, Your Majesty.”
To everyone’s surprise, the one who dropped to the floor first was none other than the second-highest-ranking demon in the entire Demon Realm, the Demon Lord of Hatred, Belial.
‘Eh?’ Siegfried blinked, momentarily stunned.
He was certain that Belial would put up the strongest resistance, but contrary to his expectations, Belial submitted faster than anyone else.
Just then, Belial spoke to him through telepathy.
“Whether I like it or not, you are now the ruler of the Demon Realm. Therefore, I will play along for now, Your Majesty.”
Siegfried was flustered for a moment, but then he responded in kind.
“Thank you. I should be showing you more respect, and yet…”
“No, not at all. Don’t mind it, Your Majesty.”
“Huh?”
“Further conflict is meaningless now that the new Demon King has ascended the throne. With the Celestial Realm eyeing us, we must rally around Your Majesty, regardless of whether we like it or not.”
“Ah! Thank you so much, Lord Belial!” Siegfried was genuinely moved.
Now this was what a demon lord ought to be like, but the others weren’t as cooperative as Belial.
“What the hell?!”
“What do you think you are doing, Lord Belial?!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me! This must be some kind of sick joke!”
The other demon lords were all flabbergasted after seeing Belial drop to the floor.
“Sigh…” Siegfried let out a long sigh, as if releasing his pent-up rage. Then, without saying another word, he grabbed the head of the Demon Lord of Wrath, Azmodan, who was now his unofficial punching bag, and slammed it straight into the ground.
Bam!
“Kuheok!”
Just like in the last meeting, Azmodan became the victim of Siegfried’s violence.
“I won’t say it again. Face down ass up! Now!” Siegfried growled.
“…”
The air in the conference hall froze. Siegfried’s aura was anything but normal.
The demon lords realized that he was absolutely serious, so one by one, they got down on the floor with their backsides pointing to the ceiling. It became clear that Siegfried’s words were an order rather than a mere suggestion.
The new Demon King, Siegfried von Proa, was prepared to use the overwhelming power he wielded to force them into obedience.
***
“Ah, not you, Lord Belial. You may stand up.”
“Your grace is immeasurable, my lord.”
Siegfried spared Belial from the punishment, as he recognized Belial’s initiative in setting an example.
Unfortunately, the others were not spared.
“You bastards are seriously pushing it, you know that?” Siegfried growled, transforming his +16 Vanquisher’s Grasp into a baseball bat.
Then, without hesitation, he started beating the backsides of the demon lords who had their head to the floor and their asses pointing to the ceiling.
Siegfried looked like a mob boss roughing up his subordinates for failing to follow his commands.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
A brutal beating began…
“Gah!”
“Ackkk!”
“Y-Your Majesty!”
“L-Loyalty—ack! That was my bone!”
The demon lords whimpered on the ground as tears streamed down their faces.
Some of them wanted to fight back, but the gap between a demon lord and the Demon King was far too big.
Now that Siegfried had inherited the Demon King’s Legacy, defeating him would be no easy feat even if all of them ganged up on him.
After all, Siegfried was now strong enough to crush an archangel’s head with just his bare hands.
“You guys need some good ass-whooping.”
Siegfried fully embraced his new role as a tyrant and began acting like how one would expect the Demon King to act.
‘This guy’s a maniac!’
‘Ack! I think he broke a bone!’
‘Never in my life have I seen a Demon King this unhinged!’
The demon lords were struck with fear after seeing Siegfried’s tyranny.
Not even the former Demon King, Baal, had ever resorted to beating the rulers of the Demon Realm like this.
‘Tsk… you should’ve read the room, fools,’ Belial clicked his tongue and shook his head.
He stayed quiet and let Siegfried do his thing. He knew better than to get in Siegfried’s way, as disobeying someone wielding the power of a Demon King would only end up ugly for him.
‘They really picked the wrong guy to mess with. They have no idea what His Imperial Majesty is capable of,’ Metatron thought, watching the others with pity.
Ten minutes later…
“M-Mercy! Please forgive me, Your Majesty!”
“I must have been out of my mind, my lord!”
“Y-Your Majesty! Please be benevolent and forgive me—ack!”
The demon lords were now sobbing. Their faces covered in snot and tears as they groveled and begged for mercy. It seemed that the beating had done its job.
Siegfried shook his head and said, “Nope. You idiots still haven’t learned your lesson. Face down and ass up! Now!”
Still dissatisfied, Siegfried continued the punishment. He was not the type to rule with an iron fist using violence, but this situation was different.
With the imminent threat from the Celestial Realm, he needed to dominate the demon lords, even if it meant breaking them down.
Moreover, the Demon Realm was completely different from the Middle Realm, as this kind of leadership actually worked far better than anything else due to the Demon Realm’s culture, where strength reigned supreme.
Lastly, they were technically at war right now, so a little violence was not a problem at all.If any of them dared to disobey him, Siegfried was prepared to make an example out of them, even if it meant executing one of them.
Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!
The punishment sessions continued for another full two hours.
By the end of it…
“Ughhh…”
“Sniff… Sniff…”
“I’m a demon lord… damn it…”
The demon lords were beaten so badly that they were reduced to rags.
“Here, drink this, my lord.”
“Thanks.”
Metatron personally prepared a glass of Mint Chocolate Ade, which Siegfried gulped down in one go.
Then, he turned to the demon lords.
“Get up,” Siegfried commanded.
“Y-Yes, my lord! I am getting up!”
“I am already on my feet, sire!”
“Up! Already up!”
Surprisingly, the demon lords, who were sprawled on the floor moments ago, leapt to their feet instantly. Not only that, they lined up in perfect formation, as if they were soldiers lining up in front of their drill sergeant.
Siegfried flashed a sinister grin and said, “I won’t just stop at beating anyone who talks back to me from now on. I’m going to cut your damn head off and absorb your soul. Got that?”
“Y-Yes, Your Majesty!”
The Demon Lords responded in unison, trembling with ghastly pale faces.
‘Good. Now that’s more like it,’ Siegfried thought with a grin.
He couldn’t help but feel satisfied after seeing their obedience.
“Take your seats,” he said, waving his hand.
“Yes, Your Majesty!”
And just like that, the emergency meeting resumed after the beatings were over.
“I gathered you all here today because, as you might know, the Celestial Realm is about to invade the Middle Realm. Once that’s over, our Demon Realm will be next,” Siegfried said. Then, he paused for a moment and added, “And right now, the Demon Realm isn’t prepared to fight.”
“I agree, Your Majesty. As do all the other Demon Lords present,” Belial spoke up.
“I’m glad you’re all aware,” Siegfried said with a nod.
“What is your command, sire?” Belial asked.
“If the angels successfully descend upon the Middle Realm,” Siegfried replied in a serious tone. Then, he flashed a grin and continued, “We raid the unguarded Celestial Realm.”
