Desolate Devouring Art - Chapter 1315 - Deathly Spear

Chapter 1315 – Deathly Spear
The scene was gruesome. More than thirty members of the nether clan died in a single strike without the slightest chance to resist. The sight alone stunned everyone present. No one dared move. No one could flee either, because Liu Wuxie had already sealed the area.
When the faceless clan attacked, Liu Wuxie only glanced in their direction and released an overwhelming tide of cursed energy. The entire faceless clan vanished in an instant, as if they had never existed. The massacre continued, and not a single person managed to withstand even one strike from him.
“Liu Wuxie, you’re a demon! You’re a demon who kills without blinking!” a human cultivator shouted. He stepped forward and pointed at Liu Wuxie. In his mind, only a demon could kill in such a horrifying way.
Under Liu Wuxie’s influence, poison essence erupted in the Netherworld and mixed with the darkness laws. The poison essence in the air wasn’t instantly lethal, but it still damaged the body.
Dark-attribute energy could even erode a person’s mind. The poison spread like a miasma through the Netherworld, and the longer it lingered, the worse it became.
“Demon?” Liu Wuxie sneered.
“Did I provoke any of you? Did I hunt any of you down? You came all this way to kill me, and when you can’t beat me, you call me a demon? Can you be any more shameless?!” Liu Wuxie’s voice rolled like thunder through the crowd. Fury rippled outward, but so did shame.
Everyone who heard him lowered their heads. Liu Wuxie wasn’t wrong. He hadn’t provoked anyone, yet they had chased him like starving beasts. Moreover, Liu Wuxie had obtained the Wind Spiritual Fruit through his own strength.
“Liu Wuxie, stop twisting words. With so many races here, do you think we’re afraid of you? Worst case, we’ll drag you down with us!” a cultivator roared.
Even after Liu Wuxie killed more than thirty members of the nether clan and dozens of members of the faceless clan, a massive force still surrounded him—they were beastkins, members of the abyssal race, and members of the demon race.
Each one of them possessed a formidable cultivation base. Even an expert at the lower levels of the Void Realm wouldn’t dare face that lineup.
“Cut the crap and come at me together,” Liu Wuxie said.
He couldn’t be bothered to waste time on words. He charged straight into the crowd. He had just broken through to the ninth-level Origin Conversion Realm, and he needed a battle where he could release his full strength.
Once he consolidated his cultivation, he would be able to attempt a breakthrough into the Primal Origin Realm. He knew he had to reach the Primal Origin Realm if he wanted even the slightest standing in the Indigo Bamboo Astral Domain.
Only then would he qualify to negotiate terms with the Heavenly Dragon Sect.
If he managed to pull it off, it would mean he had gone from the Heaven Profound Realm to the Primal Origin Realm in under half a year. Who else in the entire Indigo Bamboo Star could claim the same?
No one expected Liu Wuxie to attack first. His strikes crashed down like a raging thunderstorm. He didn’t hold back with his mythical arts. He unleashed the Great Frost Mythical Art, the Great Five Elemental Mythical Art, the Nine Heavenly Dragon Forms, and the Dragon-Grasping Hand.
Each art carried a destructive force strong enough to tear heaven and earth apart.
When he unleashed them all at once, the area within dozens of miles turned into a vacuum. Corpses dropped one after another. Even harvesting grain at full speed wouldn’t match one-tenth of his slaughter.
Deathly energy spread through the surroundings along with poison essence. Either force alone could have killed them. Their counterattacks couldn’t even touch Liu Wuxie.
Liu Wuxie cast the Great Spatial Mythical Art. Space around them warped and twisted, catching their attacks and hurling them back into their own ranks. Properly used, a spatial technique could turn the enemy’s strength against them.
“Liu Wuxie, I’ll drag you down with me!” an expert at the pinnacle of the Primal Origin Realm roared. He began to swell as he activated a self-destruction technique. He intended to die together with Liu Wuxie.
The self-destruction of a pinnacle Primal Origin Realm expert was terrifying, comparable to a full-force strike from a Void Realm expert. Liu Wuxie had to kill him before he exploded.
Even if he didn’t fear cultivators at the ninth-level Primal Origin Realm, he couldn’t ignore this.
“Sky Devouring Divine Cauldron, devour,” Liu Wuxie commanded.
He didn’t hesitate to activate the cauldron. The Demonic Purgatory Chains lashed out, wrapped around the cultivator, and dragged him inside. Demonic flame ignited and coiled around him while he screamed in agony.
In the blink of an eye, the cultivator vanished without leaving a trace. The cauldron refined him into liquefied spiritual energy and poured it into the desolate world.
The more Liu Wuxie devoured, the fiercer his combat strength became. His power didn’t drop with time. It climbed.
“Run!” Panic finally erupted through the crowd. Once they realized their attacks were useless against Liu Wuxie, fear overwhelmed them. They turned and fled. When they reached a thousand meters out, the space around them shrank—a spatial wall had sealed off the surroundings.
“Liu Wuxie, please spare us! We’re all humans!” many of the humans shouted.
They dropped to their knees when they realized that they couldn’t escape.
They begged for mercy in hopes of surviving.
“Did any of you consider that I’m also human when you attacked her?” Liu Wuxie asked, pointing at Vanya.
If it hadn’t been for the protection of the spiritual array and Vanya, would these so-called fellow humans have spared him? The answer was obvious. They wouldn’t. They would have been more brutal than the abyssal race, rushing in first to split his treasures among themselves.
Just like that, the massacre continued. The intensity and scale of the battle grew by the moment.
When the undead clan arrived, the deathly energy they released condensed into a spear. It shot toward Liu Wuxie’s soul sea along a twisting trajectory that was almost impossible to block.
Even a Void Realm cultivator could die instantly if they failed to stay cautious. It was a soul technique no weaker than Liu Wuxie’s Soul Spear.
However, Liu Wuxie was already tied up with the demon clan and the beastkins. He had no hand to spare for the undead clan.
When the spear entered Liu Wuxie’s soul sea, he immediately raised the Soul Shield to block it. At the same time, the Heavenly Dao Book opened, dissolved the spear, and drew its energy into the desolate world, strengthening the Death Dao Art.
The dozen undead clan members looked at each other in disbelief. They could feel the deathly energy in their bodies weaken, leaving them exposed to the Dragon-Grasping Hand.
Justthen, countless dragon claws descended from the sky. The sight of Liu Wuxie alone controlling thousands of dragon claws chilled every heart. With the undead clan wiped out, only the abyssal race and the human race remained.
Liu Wuxie had already slaughtered the beastkins and the demon clan.
Liu Wuxie didn’t hesitate. He executed the Great Five Elemental Mythical Art, which manifested as a colossal millstone descending from the sky. When it crashed down, the impact wiped out the last survivors of the human race and the abyssal race.
The blast flattened a thousand-meter radius to bare ground and crushed the surrounding hills into level terrain. Even after killing so many people, Liu Wuxie’s eyes revealed no emotions. This was only the alchemy event. The competition and the killing would become even more brutal during the Divine Sun-Shooting Tower event.
The lingering energy in the air condensed into a liquid essence that flowed into the desolate world.
“What a pity I couldn’t kill any Void Realm cultivator. I still don’t have any Void Realm laws in my body,” Liu Wuxie muttered. After killing so many cultivators, the Primal Origin Realm laws within him already far exceeded those of ordinary Primal Origin Realm cultivators.
“Let’s go,” he said.
After treating Vanya’s injuries, he left with her. They couldn’t stay there any longer, and they had to leave before more people arrived. He didn’t worry about just anyone, but he remained wary of the Grand Unity Sect.
The longer they lingered, the more uneasy he felt.
He knew they had to be preparing something against him. By now, the Grand Unity Sect ought to have known that Liu Wuxie could kill cultivators at the ninth-level Primal Origin Realm.
Aside from the Grand Unity Sect, he also had to guard against the nether clan.
News of the Ghost Pupil had already leaked, and he could see the nether clan joining forces with the ghost clan to hunt him without rest.
He rubbed his temples. The two of them passed through the entrance from the third level and entered the fourth.
The environment on the fourth level was different. This level had a landscape of mountains and seas. Liu Wuxie and Vanya were both surprised to find an ocean in the underground world.
Liu Wuxie was only at the Origin Conversion Realm and couldn’t fly freely. To cross the water, he had to rely on Vanya. He wasn’t completely helpless, though; with the Nine Heavenly Dragon Forms, he could still force himself through the air for thousands of miles.
However, the “ocean” here wasn’t like an ordinary sea. It was a chain of vast interconnected lakes with countless islands scattered across them. The nether clan occupied many of those islands, and each island had passages leading to the fifth level.
When Liu Wuxie and Vanya landed on one of the islands, the surroundings were quiet, and they encountered no nether clan members.
The nether clan hadn’t occupied every island. Only islands with dense dark-attribute energy suited their survival, after all.
Just then, the Ancestral Tree within his desolate world stirred.
“The divine race is catching up,” Liu Wuxie murmured.
The Ancestral Tree had warned him a few days ago about the divine race’s pursuit.
Suddenly, the distant water split with a loud splash. A massive head burst from the surface as a giant emerged. Giants couldn’t fly and could only travel along the seabed. When the giant saw Liu Wuxie, A’Lei waved in excitement.
“A’Lei!” Liu Wuxie called, smiling as he hurried over.
A’Lei and A’Li were both drenched, water pouring off them as they shook themselves dry. However, A’Ya was nowhere to be seen, which meant they probably still hadn’t found her.
“Young Master Liu! It’s great seeing you here,” A’Lei said.
They had been searching everywhere for Liu Wuxie over the past few days, and they finally found him here on the fourth level.
“Why did you come to the fourth level?” Liu Wuxie asked.
It made no sense for the giant clan to join the alchemy event. They could have stayed safely on the upper levels. There was no reason for them to enter deeper into the Netherworld.
“It’s a long story. Our chieftain told us to come help you,” A’Lei said, scratching his head. He didn’t know why their chieftain had given that order. The giant clan had only gone through the motions for the first three events.
The giant clan had also learned that Liu Wuxie had saved A’Lei, A’Li, and A’Ya from the dwarf race.
“Okay. Help me thank your chieftain on my behalf,” Liu Wuxie said with a smile. He had also been looking for A’Lei and the others. He could already see that the days ahead wouldn’t be peaceful. If it were only him and Vanya, their odds of survival would be too low. With the giants on their side, their chances would rise sharply.
The four of them circled the island and found no danger. Then, Vanya cast her magic and lifted all four of them into the air. It was A’Lei’s first time flying, and the feeling amazed him. His colossal body drifted through the air like a mountain.
……
Not long after Liu Wuxie’s departure, a group of more than twenty divinekin arrived on the island Liu Wuxie and his group had occupied earlier.
“He was here not long ago. Chase after him!” Shi Luo said.
Shi Luo pulled out a small piece of wood. He had been using this piece of wood to track Liu Wuxie’s location.
……
After crossing tens of thousands of meters, Liu Wuxie’s group of four descended on another island. This island was so large it felt like an independent continent.
As soon as they landed, they ran into many cultivators. When those cultivators saw Liu Wuxie, they all revealed expressions. The cultivators nearby were busy prying apart massive boulders, clearly searching for something.
“What are you looking for?” Vanya asked.
