Desolate Devouring Art - Chapter 1353 - Arrangements

Chapter 1353 – Arrangements
After leaving the main hall, Liu Wuxie lifted into the air with the ease granted by the Primal Origin Realm. In a few swift flashes, he reached the outer sect.
He remained an outer disciple because the sect hadn’t yet processed his promotion, but people had already spread the word that the sect master had taken him in as a disciple.
“Brother Liu!”
“Big Brother Liu!” A’Lei, A’Li, and Vanya rushed over the instant they spotted him. Zhuge Ming had brought them back together with Liu Wuxie when they left the Divine Sun-Shooting Tower, returning them to the Heavenly Dragon Sect.
The elders had arranged a special resting area for them, mainly to accommodate the giants’ immense size, and the trio hurried over as soon as they saw Liu Wuxie.
“Sorry to keep you three waiting,” Liu Wuxie said, realizing he had overlooked them because he had gone straight to the main hall after returning.
“It’s fine. The sect has been very considerate to us, and they even built a pair of stone houses for us,” A’Lei said, pointing toward two large stone houses deep in the mountain range that served as their residence.
Since Vanya had no acquaintances within the sect, she chose to live with A’Lei and A’Li.
“I might have to leave briefly in three days. What are your plans? Do you want to return to your home planet, or…” Liu Wuxie asked.
In truth, he wanted all three to remain; A’Lei and A’Li, as giants, wielded terrifying combat strength, and with their help, he could push his plans forward faster.
Vanya, the elven race’s saintess, had broken through to the Void Realm on the warship, and no one dared underestimate her combat power.
Even though he had become the sect master’s disciple, his burdens had not lifted. The Lingqiong Clan had appeared, the feud with the Grand Unity Sect persisted, and the old enmity with the Immortal Slaughter Palace pressed on him like mountains.
The True Martial Continent needed only the construction of the interstellar teleportation array, yet he had many other matters to handle.
If they chose to return to their home planets, he could arrange escorts to take them to the interstellar teleportation array.
The Indigo Bamboo Astral Domain already had interstellar teleportation arrays that could send them straight home, saving considerable time.
“We plan to stay behind and assist you for the next three years,” A’Lei said, chuckling. He wanted to take this chance to learn from Liu Wuxie, but he had not yet reached his limit with the pressurizing spiritual array or fully grasped the true essence within his dantian.
Just moments earlier, the giant clan’s chieftain had messaged them not to return for now and to dig as deeply as possible into the secrets of the giant clan’s physique.
“Good brothers! I won’t treat you three poorly,” Liu Wuxie said with delight, knowing their help would cause the Heavenly Dao Society’s overall strength to surge again.
Then, he turned to Vanya. Their relationship had grown ambiguous, and neither had torn aside the final veil.
“I’ll stay behind, too. I still have many magic spells that I want to ask you about,” Vanya replied, lowering her head. Her clan’s elder had also urged her to learn as much as possible from Liu Wuxie.
Word had already spread that Liu Wuxie had received personal guidance from Vandore. If Vanya were to stay by his side, she could learn more magic spells.
“Don’t worry about it. Since you three have chosen to follow me, I guarantee that I will help you three stand at the summit of this astral domain within three years,” Liu Wuxie declared, his voice full of confidence. Even if he could not lead them to the Heaven Gaze Realm, it wouldn’t be difficult for them to reach the Earth Immortal Realm in three years.
In the astral domains, the Earth Immortal Realm stood near the top of the pyramid. Experts at the Heaven Gaze realm formed the bedrock of great forces and rarely showed themselves.
“Brother Liu, tell us what you need from us,” A’Lei said, excited. Liu Wuxie’s performance in the Myriad Race Ceremony had astonished them, and they were determined to make their names alongside him.
“No hurry. You three rest for the day, and I’ll take you elsewhere tomorrow,” Liu Wuxie said. He still needed to make arrangements before bringing them to Mount Dragon City.
After half a month of growth, he believed Old Blindie had essentially laid the foundations for the Heavenly Dao Society.
When he returned to the True Martial Continent, he could bring back a group of elites and set the Heavenly Dao Society on its course.
“Go handle your business then. Don’t worry about us,” A’Li urged, unwilling to waste Liu Wuxie’s time.
“Okay,” Liu Wuxie answered. He nodded at Vanya and vanished.
Elder Long sat contentedly in his courtyard, feeling that the lengthy discussion would be wrapping up by now.
When Liu Wuxie pushed the door open and entered, Elder Long remained seated and gestured for him to sit as well.
“A success?”
“A success. I’ll return in three days,” Liu Wuxie said, taking a sip of the tea Elder Long had brewed. After all the discussion in the main hall, he happened to be thirsty.
“Great tea!” Liu Wuxie praised as coolness slid down his throat.
“I know most of what happened in the main hall. I didn’t expect the Lingqiong Clan to get involved, and you’re going well,” Elder Long said gravely. He had his own sources, but the reappearance of the Lingqiong Clan after so long was troubling news.
“I have come to thank you for everything you’ve done. I will be leaving in three days, and I need your help to look after a few people for me,” Liu Wuxie said. Besides offering thanks, he hoped Elder Long could watch over A’Lei, A’Li, and Vanya during his absence.
“Don’t worry. They’re not weak, and ordinary people can’t do anything to them,” Elder Long replied. He knew exactly whom Liu Wuxie meant.
With that reassurance, Liu Wuxie could leave with an easy mind. He chatted with Elder Long for about two hours before taking his leave. He also visited Elder Ding to express his gratitude, and Elder Ding felt a surge of emotion upon seeing him again.
He had not expected a casual kindness to forge such a bond. With Liu Wuxie’s talent, he would soar sooner or later, and Elder Ding would eventually benefit.
After leaving Elder Ding’s courtyard, Liu Wuxie headed straight for the Spirit Sealing Institute, as the Han Clan had contributed significantly to the construction of the interstellar teleportation array.
Within the Heavenly Dragon Sect, the Spirit Sealing Institute remained shrouded in mystery; few outsiders knew much about it, and its disciples rarely ventured out.
Liu Wuxie crossed a mountain range and arrived before the ancient-looking compound. Unlike the War Dragon, Dharma, and Heavenly Martial Institutions, the Spirit Sealing Institute resembled an independent courtyard because it had few disciples.
“Young Master Liu, Elder Han has already been waiting for you,” said a middle-aged man who emerged the moment Liu Wuxie reached the gate. It was like he had calculated Liu Wuxie’s exact arrival.
Liu Wuxie had grown accustomed to the institute’s enigmatic ways, and the Han Clan itself was anything but simple; they had spent a thousand years calculating the Heavenly Dragon Sect’s calamity.
Back on the True Martial Continent, they had also calculated that he was the chosen one.
“Please!” Liu Wuxie replied with a courteous gesture and followed the middle-aged man inside.
Everything within carried an ancient air. No one ever renovated the compound; only a few buildings stood, and over the years, the institute seemed to wane as fewer disciples joined.
The Han Clan had always overseen the Spirit Sealing Institute, and most of its disciples were their descendants. They rarely selected disciples from the other institutions.
They passed several buildings before a grand hall came into view ahead, heavily guarded and closed to casual visitors. When they stepped inside, Liu Wuxie saw twenty-odd people sitting within, many of whom Liu Wuxie recognized from the main hall.
“Junior Liu Wuxie greets Elder Han and all the seniors,” Liu Wuxie said, bowing with respect. Han Feizi had once risked his life to save him, and Liu Wuxie had held gratitude toward the Han Clan ever since.
“Please, have a seat,” Elder Han said, without putting on any airs.
“Thank you, senior!” Liu Wuxie sat, and twenty-odd gazes immediately focused on him. They didn’t examine him closely in the main hall because they were busy dealing with the Lingqiong Clan.
“Young Master Liu, tell us about the True Martial Continent.” A middle-aged woman stood and moved to sit before him, eyes alight with urgency.
The Han Clan had suffered devastating losses in that ancient battle, with countless deaths. The calamity had nearly destroyed the Spirit Sealing Institute, and the institute lost many legacies in the war.
“Yes,” Liu Wuxie replied, rising to describe the layout of the True Martial Continent, placing special emphasis when he introduced the Han Clan.
“It must be Ancestor Han Lin! I knew he would survive! He led our clansmen to survive on the True Martial Continent!” the crowd cried, quickly identifying the Han Clan ancestor who had endured there based on Liu Wuxie’s account.
When they learned that the Han Clan on the True Martial Continent had calculated the chosen one, Elder Han’s eyes flashed with shock.
“Hahaha!” Elder Han burst into laughter a moment later. “It won’t be long before our clan restores its glory. Our lost legacies are preserved in the True Martial Continent!”
They themselves had been unable to calculate the chosen one, yet the Han Clan on the True Martial Continent had achieved it.
“Young Master Liu, did the sect master tell you the specific time of your return and what you need to do once you return?” the middle-aged man asked.
“He didn’t,” Liu Wuxie said, shaking his head. The sect master had given no details and said only that he would contact him in three days.
“Tearing open the Astral Domain Path will cost a thousand years of cultivation even for a Quasi-Immortal,” the middle-aged man explained.
Liu Wuxie trembled at the news. He had not expected his master to pay such a heavy price, burning through a thousand years of cultivation for him.
“Elder Han, what do I have to do in the True Martial Continent?” Liu Wuxie asked. His master had likely left the specifics to the Han Clan, which was why he had not mentioned them in the main hall. Elder Han had better deliver some matters.
“The construction of the interstellar teleportation array has to be done on both sides, and the Spirit Sealing Institute will send three people with you. Your task is to help them find a suitable location on the True Martial Continent,” Elder Long explained.
Liu Wuxie did not know how to build an interstellar teleportation array, which meant that work had to fall to the Han Clan.
“Senior, you don’t have to worry about it. I have already decided on the most suitable place,” Liu Wuxie said. He had chosen the central axis of the True Martial Continent for the interstellar teleportation array.
