Chapter 1544 – Killing Pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm
Heishark and Heicloud sensed at once that something was wrong, and they accelerated their assault. Two different domains surged and crashed down on Liu Wuxie at the same time.
The radiance spilling from the Heavenly Dao Book made the Black Crow Clan deeply uncomfortable. As a dark-attribute race, they feared this kind of sacred light the most.
The Heavenly Dao Book could only restrain their soul energy, and it certainly couldn’t kill them easily. At best, it could hold for one or two exchanges, so Liu Wuxie had to switch tactics before they unleashed an even stronger tide of soul energy into his soul sea.
“Heavenly Deity Monument!” After reaching the fourth-level Earth Immortal Realm, Liu Wuxie could draw on the monument’s power a little more easily, but he still only grasped a wisp of it and couldn’t gain full control. The cost of mobilizing the Heavenly Deity Monument, even once, remained terrifying.
Immortal energy inside the desolate world began to drain at a visible pace, and every immortal rune that had just recovered poured into the Heavenly Deity Monument as well.
Countless runes flared to life, and even the characters carved into the Heavenly Deity Monument released a faint glow as an ear-splitting roar of slaughter burst from within.
The instant Liu Wuxie summoned the Heavenly Deity Monument, the sky ruptured, and the entire world began to collapse.
The Black Crow Clan warriors froze in shock, unable to believe that there was someone who could wield power that dared to challenge the heavens.
The Sky City sank even farther, and it would eventually crash to the ground if it continued to descend.
The Spirit Clan’s chieftain narrowed her eyes. High above, the expressions of the two Black Crow Clan chieftains also stiffened.
The Heavenly Deity Monument expanded without pause until it blotted out half the sky in the blink of an eye. No matter if they belonged to the Spirit Clan or the Black Crow Clan, anyone with lower cultivation found themselves locked in place, unable to move.
“What terrifying power!” A Spirit Clan expert shuddered, fear still clinging to his face. He felt grateful they weren’t standing at the center of the battlefield.
The Black Crow Clan warriors’ expressions twisted as danger washed over them. Heishark and Heicloud felt it the most. The Heavenly Deity Monument completely enveloped them, sealing them inside, with nowhere to flee.
Their two domains shattered under the Heavenly Deity Monument’s might. They couldn’t resist at all, yet the suppression only pinned them down, because killing them would never be so simple.
Without the Heavenly Deity Monument’s suppression, the two powerhouses could’ve still escaped, even if Liu Wuxie had unleashed the Divine Eternal Fist.
Liu Wuxie raised his fist toward the sky, and boundless power began to brew as the intent of eternity descended.
The world around them fell silent, and everyone’s breathing grew heavy. It felt as though a fireball had lodged in their chests, with no way to vent it, and the suffocating pressure nearly crushed their lungs.
“Divine Eternal Fist!” The desolate world’s power gushed out in a single torrent, carrying the world’s force as it formed a fist of eternity.
The moment it descended, the entire sky turned dark. The Heavenly Deity Monument already covered half the heavens, yet now the whole sky sank into boundless darkness.
The Divine Eternal Fist unleashed overwhelming momentum, a tidal wave that engulfed Heishark and Heicloud.
People’s eyes bulged all around. No one could believe Liu Wuxie could unleash such devastating power with cultivation at the fourth-level Earth Immortal Realm. Even if an artifact amplified it, the Divine Eternal Fist alone could still rival a strike from the experts at higher levels of the Heaven Gaze Realm.
Ariel’s expression shifted as she realized she had underestimated Liu Wuxie. In a real fight, ordinary cultivators at the lower levels of the Heaven Gaze Realm wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
A crushing fist force swept through the heavens as clouds vanished in its wake. The world seemed to pause, as though the cycle of the sun and moon had stopped.
Behind Liu Wuxie, the imprint of an axe emerged—his domain’s mark. Even now, Liu Wuxie still couldn’t understand why his domain took the shape of an axe.
A terrifying power surged out from that axe and poured into the Divine Eternal Fist.
“This is bad!” Heishark realized the danger and tried to retreat, but the punch carried too much power. Before they could even react, it was already too late because Liu Wuxie’s momentum had locked onto them completely.
The Heavenly Deity Monument crashed on them, immobilizing them entirely. Without the Heavenly Deity Monument, they would not have been rendered so defenseless.
Heicloud’s face grew uglier by the breath. He flapped his wings with everything he had, trying to wrench himself free of this place.
The other Black Crow Clan experts didn’t dare to approach at all. The pressure radiating from the Heavenly Deity Monument had already exceeded what they could endure.
Heirad’s gaze turned terrifyingly grim, yet he couldn’t salvage anything. He could only watch as Liu Wuxie’s fist force descended. The Divine Eternal Fist stretched into a long river, then spun into a vortex that wrapped around Heishark and Heicloud.
When the fist force struck, their blood dyed heaven and earth red and fell as rain. That single punch could easily cripple cultivators at the high levels of the Heaven Gaze Realm, yet it still couldn’t kill them outright.
Cultivators at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm were too strong. Their physique had nearly reached an undying state unless Liu Wuxie could shatter their primordial spirit.
Two lumps of meat wriggled in the air. Heishark and Heicloud suffered heavy injuries, but they still lived, and they could recover as long as their foundation remained intact.
The desolate world dried up, and Liu Wuxie began to fall after he unleashed his strongest attack. His divine sense, too, slid toward darkness. This time, he had mobilized the Heavenly Deity Monument at triple the power he had used against the Divine Devouring Pythonbeast, and he had exhausted triple the true essence and immortal energy to do it.
When the Heavenly Deity Monument vanished, it returned to the desolate world and stood guard. A huge amount of astral crystals exploded and poured into the desolate world.
His injuries had grown too severe, and the desolate world refused to repair them, no matter how hard Liu Wuxie tried. His soul sea had also suffered terrifying exhaustion because executing the Divine Eternal Fist had drained nearly all his soul energy.
Heaven and earth refused to settle, and cracks continued to spread outward.
“Defeating two powerhouses at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm with one punch…” Many Spirit Clan members exclaimed in disbelief, unable to accept what they had just witnessed.
The two lumps of flesh began to recover. Heishark and Heicloud had only lost their ability temporarily, but death still hadn’t claimed them.
“Earth-Binding Chains!” Ariel moved at that instant. She summoned the Earth-Binding Chains, bound Heishark and Heicloud tightly, and dragged them straight before her.
She thrust the long pike in her hands, and the two primordial spirits exploded, killing them completely.
If the two had been at their peak, ten Ariels wouldn’t have matched them. After taking the Divine Eternal Fist head-on, even a random Earth Immortal could take their lives.
Killing two experts at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm in front of so many Black Crow Clan was a spectacular sight. It had been countless years since an expert at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm had died in the Spirit Martial Astral Domain.
That included the Indigo Bamboo Astral Domain. Cultivators at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm stood at the summit of the astral domain, and killing them bordered on impossible.
Liu Wuxie kept sinking, and the Black Crow Clan froze in complete confusion. A gentle light appeared, lifted Liu Wuxie, and carried him back into Sky City, returning him to the castle.
“Retreat!” Ariel ordered, calling every Spirit Clan member back into Sky City. They had already won this battle, and there was no reason to keep grinding the war against the Black Crow Clan.
After Liu Wuxie’s fortification of the spiritual array above Sky City, the Black Crow Clan would struggle to break in. The Spirit Clan hadn’t suffered many losses, while the Black Crow Clan had lost more than ten thousand warriors and two experts at the pinnacle of the Heaven Gaze Realm.
Only then did the Black Crow Clan snap back to their senses and attack the spiritual array again. No matter how they struck, the array held firm, as Liu Wuxie had infused immortal runes into it when he had reinforced it, and it wouldn’t break unless an Immortal came personally to attack.
Inside the Spirit Clan’s main hall, over a dozen elderly women stood together, while several old men stood beside them with status that clearly fell far below.
“Chieftain, how is he?” one elderly woman asked.
Liu Wuxie lay motionless, his brows locked in deep slumber. The backlash from mobilizing the Heavenly Deity Monument and casting the Divine Eternal Fist had struck too hard, battering his primordial spirit. Worse still, the Black Crow Clan’s soul energy had injured his soul sea.
When fighting the Divine Devouring Pythonbeast, Liu Wuxie had only drained his energy, and his soul sea hadn’t taken much of a hit. But the Black Crow Clan specialized in soul attacks, and when Liu Wuxie had unleashed the Divine Eternal Fist, Heishark and Heicloud’s soul attacks had already penetrated his soul sea.
“His condition is dire, with his soul sea stabbed by the Black Crow Clan’s Black God,” the chieftain said, concern etched across her face as she shook her head.
She knew the Spirit Clan’s fate would have turned into something unimaginable without Liu Wuxie. Heavy silence settled over everyone as they looked at him, and even Ariel’s expression darkened.
“Chieftain, you have to save him!” Achiel dropped to his knees and begged the chieftain to save Liu Wuxie. If not for his promise to return the Earth-Binding Chains, he would never have taken the risk to come here.
“Get up on your feet first. He has done a great service to our Spirit Clan, and I naturally won’t let him die,” the chieftain said, waving her hand to let Achiel rise.
Liu Wuxie’s arrival had already begun to change the Spirit Clan drastically. Alongside his status as the Feathered Emperor, the status of men in the Spirit Clan had begun to rise.
“Chieftain, it’s hard to recover after being struck by the Black God. Even if someone treats him, he’ll end up cognitively disabled,” the elderly woman said. She hated admitting it, yet she still spoke the truth.
The Black Crow Clan’s Black God acted with vicious speed. Once it entered the soul sea, it would destroy the victim’s will and primordial spirit in an instant, and it carried a cruelty even worse than the Soul Spear.
“Everyone withdraw! Appease the clansmen. Only the three grand elders and Ariel stay behind,” the chieftain said with a single wave. The battle had just ended, and many clansmen lay injured, needing comfort.
“Understood!” The ordinary elders withdrew, leaving only three elderly women and Ariel behind.
“Chieftain, have you found a way to save him?” One of the three grand elders asked. She had lived for tens of thousands of years, rarely leaving seclusion, and she had only recently learned of Liu Wuxie’s condition.
Since Liu Wuxie had inherited the Feathered Emperor’s mantle, he naturally became the new generation’s Feathered Emperor. More than that, he had saved the Spirit Clan from crisis, so they had to save him even if it meant exhausting everything they had. After all, only Liu Wuxie could counter the Black Crow Clan now.
“Only one person can save him,” the chieftain said, then turned her gaze to Ariel.
Ariel’s eyes stayed fixed on Liu Wuxie. When she saw her mother looking at her, confusion flashed across her face, as she had no idea how she could save him.
“Mother, how can I save him?” Ariel asked, stunned.
The three grand elders exchanged looks, and realization slowly dawned in each of their eyes.
“Chieftain, you’re referring to…” The grand elder who had spoken earlier began, but she didn’t finish. The matter was too ancient, and no one knew whether it could even succeed.
The chieftain nodded in silent confirmation.
