Diary of a Dead Wizard - Chapter 782: I Can Do It Too

Ophelia, who had received no information from the Prismatic World at all, sighed.
But then she immediately asked, “Your connection to the Prismatic World this time wasn’t completely without gains, was it?”
“Not at all. Entering the Prismatic World again, I feel my understanding of energy has become somewhat clearer.”
The communication with the Death Demon couldn’t be revealed to Ophelia, but future connections to the Prismatic World could share some information with her.
After all, the other party had put in considerable effort to help him, and Saul couldn’t let others work for nothing.
Besides, he still wanted to continue cooperating with Ophelia.
“When we experiment next time…”
“When you experiment next time, I’m afraid I’ll still have no gains.” At some point, Ophelia in a sea-blue long dress slowly emerged from the mist.
Saul looked at her. This was the first time he’d seen Ophelia in normal human form during an experiment.
Her sudden appearance in formal attire definitely meant something had happened.Saul proactively said, “Next time I’ll prioritize protecting Your Excellency’s mental power. This should allow me to bring you into the Prismatic World together.”
Ophelia walked up to Saul. The neckline of her dress was very low, and though decorated with silver lace, through the openwork lace one could still vaguely see the snow-white skin beneath.
As pale as her neck.
She approached Saul until they were less than a meter apart.
“You protect my mental power and bring me to that world?”
Saul frowned. “I’m not completely confident. But we can try.”
Ophelia gently shook her head. “Each connection to the Prismatic World means deepening ties with that side. Without knowing the other world’s hierarchy, rashly deepening connections is also unwise. So we need to ensure as much as possible that I can smoothly enter the Prismatic World next time, rather than having my mental power erased.”
“Does the City Master have other ideas?” Saul could tell Ophelia should have another proposal.
Ophelia smiled lightly. “Don’t you already have a successful example by your side? We just need to replicate it.”
“Successful?” Saul realized who Ophelia was referring to. “You mean Pei’er? But I’m also unclear why Pei’er could survive in the Prismatic World.”
Ophelia suddenly stepped forward. She emanated a faint moisture.
“You really don’t know? Pei’er can survive in the Prismatic World because of you, isn’t that right?” Her hand gently pressed against Saul’s chest. “Clearly just an ordinary body, how could it have such a tenacious spiritual entity?”
Saul’s entire body stiffened. Just as he wanted to step back, he discovered he couldn’t move at all.
“Why were you unmoved by Ona’s repeated invitations?”
The polite smile on Saul’s face faded. “I don’t like becoming experimental material on a lab table.”
Ophelia looked Saul up and down. “You’ve modified yourself so many times from head to toe—where aren’t you experimental material?”
Saul paused. He had been quite ruthless with his wizard body modifications, but that didn’t mean he could accept others treating him as material.
“Pei’er’s survival in the Prismatic World resulted from many factors. Why must Your Excellency Ophelia target me? I’m the most inconspicuous link among them, aren’t I?”
“Who said that?” Ophelia’s finger suddenly pierced into Saul’s chest. The skin around the wound immediately became semi-transparent gray, yet not a drop of blood flowed out. “Whether it’s me or the Stargate Council, we’ve never provided Pei’er with guarantees for adapting to external worlds. Besides you, what other reason could there be for Pei’er to survive in the Prismatic World?”
Ophelia slowly withdrew her finger, watching the wound on Saul’s chest gradually close and return to smooth skin.
“If you look down on Ona…” Ophelia raised her head. She seemed to have intentionally adjusted her height so that when looking up, her lips could just touch Saul’s jaw. “I can do it too.”
Saul still couldn’t move, but because of this, he could clearly feel the slight coolness of Ophelia’s breath brushing against his chin.
“I’m afraid of becoming a thick paste in Lady Ophelia’s vase.” Saul politely declined.
Ophelia didn’t care at all. She directly pressed against Saul, letting him feel the softness of her body.
“You don’t need to worry about that. I won’t eat you. And I can simulate various organs—whatever your preferences, I can satisfy them.”
Saul’s mouth twitched. “How wrong that would make you.”
“Not wronged.” Ophelia laughed carelessly. “This is an interesting experiment.”
Saying this, without waiting for Saul’s agreement or refusal, Ophelia’s finger touched Saul’s robes.
Saul’s black wizard robes immediately turned into liquid of the same color, rolling off his body without wetting the shirt and pants underneath.
Saul’s breathing caught. Just as the other party was about to target his shirt, he suddenly spoke, “Actually, Lady Ophelia has always known there’s no second half to the Water God’s biography, right?”
Ophelia’s movements stopped. “Are you trying to buy time?”
“I’m just curious—since Lady Ophelia already has a method to advance to fifth-rank, why would you risk helping me connect to the Prismatic World at this critical stage?”
Ophelia lowered her hands. “Who would complain about having too many advancement methods?”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll affect your current advancement plan, Lady Ophelia?”
“Just one avatar—not enough to affect me. When I truly begin advancing, I won’t have time to eat you.” The woman raised her hand, lifting Saul’s chin. “You look quite delicious.”
Saul knew this Sky City master’s interest in him came entirely from Pei’er’s experiences, but studying his body was definitely not as important as advancement.
But even if it was just a whim, Saul couldn’t directly resist a fourth-rank wizard.
“May I consider it?”
“No.” Ophelia said the firm words gently.
“Then you should at least let me prepare, right? You’re a fourth-rank wizard—I don’t want to end up polluted, mutated into a pile of meat scraps afterward.”
Only then did Ophelia step back and release her restraint on Saul.
“You’re right. I also don’t want you to become a disposable tool.”
The other party seemed to return to a serious appearance. That subtle temptation disappeared, transforming back into a lofty queen’s bearing.
“Ona said you’ve been at the Academy of Knowledge recently?”
“Mm.”
“Go to the Academy of Practice next. I’ll instruct them to open a special research project… to supplement your body.”
Sensing Ophelia’s unrestrained gaze roaming over his body, Saul’s face darkened. “I can do it myself.”
“Heh, don’t be stubborn. I don’t want you dying in my bed. After all, in a few months, don’t you still have to go to the Tribunal?”
Ophelia raised her hand and waved lightly. Saul was directly sent out of the fuel furnace room.
Saul walked out of the White Glass Palace’s main hall with a dark expression.
Whether as a man or as a wizard, he couldn’t tolerate others treating him as an experimental breeding ground.
[Brother Saul.]
Penny could also sense Saul’s suppressed anger and spoke cautiously.
[Should we just run away?]
