Dragon Monarch System - Chapter 910 910:- Bandits and their doubts

“Can you take care of them?” Laura looked at Aditya and asked in a worried tone.
“I don’t know!” Aditya replied with a smirk.
Laura stopped hearing this, but seeing his smirk, she snorted and looked away.
Hmph!!!
‘This guy is unbelievable! He is still in the mood to make jokes.’
“Hahaha!! Why don’t you go and hide behind that little rock over there and wait for me?”
Hearing his words, she glared at him. “I am not that weak.”
She might be weak now, but she was confident that she could hold her. At least, he didn’t need to worry about her.
Aditya’s expression hardened as he turned around to face the people who had been following them for a while now.
“Guys, I don’t have much time, even if I wanted to play this game. So, we need to finish this early.”
Hearing Aditya’s words from afar, the face of the Bandit group’s leader darkened.
John Palmer’s right hand was already on his sword. Previously, he had no intention of killing these two. At most, he wanted all of their wealth, and then he was gonna leave them alone. But the words of Ivan (Aditya) had really angered him.
Behind him, his troops stopped. They were also displeased.
“Let’s kill this guy!” – A man with a red ginger beard and bald head roared. It wasn’t the words of Ivan (Aditya) that pissed him. It was his laid back and relaxed attitude that showed that he wasn’t taking them seriously that really pissed the half Dwarf.
If not for their leader holding them back, by now, they would have already rushed to kill this young man.
“Once we kill him, I will personally sever his head and kick it around.” – A close friend of the Half-dwarf also expressed his anger. Just like his best friend, Nordour Hillfall, Elliot Khan also felt angered by Ivan’s (Aditya’s) laid-back attitude.
Who were they? They were the most famous bandit group of this region. Together, their group could even take down a Peak 6th-order Magic Animal.
Aditya did not have the patience to wait for them to attack. He knew the longer he dragged this out, the greater the possibilities of someone arriving in time to witness everything. Besides, for now, he wanted to keep their identities a secret. So if he openly used his skills, such as Crimson Lightning or Crimson Flame, then the observer might know his identity, and from then on, it won’t take long for the whole Tunnel World to know that the Dragon Monarch was here. This would attract the attention of the League of Black Tomb.
‘Let’s hope I am not cornered into a situation where I am forced to reveal my powers.’
With that thought, Aditya disappeared.
Laura was observing Aditya while hiding behind a large boulder. When she blinked, he had disappeared. When she reopened her eyes, she spent a few seconds searching for him until her eyes spotted him among the Bandits that were more than 1000 meters away from them.
“Kill him!!”
“Attack this guy with everything.”
As the Bandit group leader, John Palmer, roared to increase the morale of his troops, before any of his group members could take action, Aditya teleported in front of their leader.
“Let’s char…!!” The words in John Palmer’s throat got stuck, and his eyes widened in fear as he saw Aditya just in front of him. In that split second, his pupils contracted to the size of a needle.
Palmer almost felt like he was seeing the God of Death.
Palmer was frozen in fear.
Aditya drove his sword towards his heart before his attack could hit Palmer, a green elastic tentacle shot out from Palmer’s shadow and hit the sword, changing the trajectory of the attack.
Seeing this, Aditya was surprised. He stopped and looked at the person who did this.
It was the Half Dwarf named Nordour.
Nordour did not wait for Aditya to attack again. The green elastic tentacle wrapped itself around Palmer’s waist and pulled Palmer back, where Nordour and others stood.
“What are you doing?” Nordour angrily shouted. He hadn’t expected their leader to freeze in front of this mysterious man and wait to die from his sword attack.
Palmer finally snapped out of a daze. His eyes seem to gain some clarity. The fear that he felt earlier disappeared.
“Thanks for that!”
Aditya was sure that this was the end of Palmer.
Elliot, the best friend of the Half Dwarf, didn’t just stand there. He led several mages from their group to attack Aditya. After witnessing the terrifying teleportation ability of this man, no one in their group dared to underestimate this man anymore.
“Brothers, now is the time. Just like we have practised before.” Elliot shouted before casting a spell.
Quagmire Grasp!
Aditya was still surprised that his sword attack was deflected when the sandy terrain within a 100-meter radius began to darken and churn as if awakened by a malevolent will. Fine and loose grains of sand rapidly moistened unnaturally and then turned into a thick, sticky sludge that bubbles and ripples like something alive.
The change began at Aditya’s feet and spread outward in a circular wave. This was accompanied by a low, yet rumbling hum echoing through the ground.
The once-dry dunes collapsed inward and formed pockets of deep, oozing mud. These muddy traps swirled with a forceful suction that generated the illusion that invisible hands were pulling Aditya toward the depths. Aditya felt the earth literally grabbing his legs, dragging them downward with increasing resistance.
Realising the danger, Aditya tried to teleport, but green thorny veins emerged from the ground and wrapped around his ankle before he could do that.
His…!!!
Aditya gritted his teeth in pain as the several-inch-long thorns on the green vines that had curved inward pierced his skin and tightly stuck to his body.
At the same time, a fish net made from white light was cast on him from above.
“What is this?” But the net rapidly coiled around his entire body. But he found it difficult to channel his Mana when I tried to teleport. It was like the net was interfering with his ability to channel Mana, which should be as natural as breathing to him.
But at this moment, he felt his ability to freely and smoothly manipulate Mana quite restricted.
“Now is our chance!!” Nordour yelled before sending his strongest and quickest attack.
Seven sharp green tentacles shot towards Aditya like arrows.
Watching the sharp tentacles, Aditya decided to tear the energy net with his bare hand. But as his palms touched the energy net, he found that they were burning. Ignoring the burning pain, he gritted his way through and managed to tear a part of the net.
But as soon as he made a large tear, he saw the tentacles had already arrived.
BOOOOM…!!!
Seeing the attack perfectly hit, everyone was relieved. Some even cheered.
“Yes!!”
“Hell Yeah!!”
Jonathan’s voice is the loudest. Jonathan is a tall and loud man, but he is also very easily intimidated, as evidenced by his standing at the back.
But a second later, Nordour, Palmer and others felt that something was strange about this. Because of the dust and smoke, they couldn’t see Aditya, but they couldn’t sense him either.
Swooosh!!!
Aditya appeared behind Jonathan like a ghost.
While he and everyone were celebrating, no one even noticed that their target had mysteriously teleported behind Jonathan.
Suddenly, hundreds of Crimson glowing threads that looked like spider silk unfolded around Jonathan. By the time he noticed this, the Crimson threads were tightly wrapped around his body.
At first, he felt nothing was wrong with these Crimson glowing threads. Maybe the spider silk-like threads were slightly hot.
But the next second, threads tightened even more and began compressing around Jonathan’s body while heating up exponentially. If one looked closely, they would notice the Crimson threads were glowing and pulsing as energy was flowing through them.
Within a second, Jonathan experienced hell. His expression changed from laughter just moments before; now he resembled a man confronting his own death. His pupils contracted to the size of a needle.
Due to the compressed threads, he couldn’t speak. But before dying, he saw Aditya’s cold face from the corner of his right eye.
A glowing thread pulses once and then bursts in a small, contained explosion, leaving nothing inside. Jonathan’s entire body vaporises, leaving no trace.
Hearing the sound of an explosion, others turned back.
Seeing Aditya standing in place of Jonathan, everyone widened their eyes in fear. Even their leader, Palmer, who was usually calm and composed, took a step back in fear.
‘Just a second ago, he was in our trap…..!!’ – Palmer and Nordour exchanged a look. Both of them could see it in their eyes. Both looked afraid of this monster with unknown and certain powers and abilities.
Aditya cracked his neck while staring at Palmer and the rest.
His eyes slowly morphed and changed.
His eyes no longer resembled human pupils. Instead, they had large vertical slits and was Crimson in color.
‘Animal eyes!!’ Palmer and Elliot’s thoughts are in their heads.
But Nordour thought deeper and made a more accurate guess.
“He is a Dragon!!” Hearing this, everyone else was stunned. This time, their expression became even more fearful.
Even within the Main Continent and the Six Continents, meeting Dragons is rare. If not for the rise of the Dragon Monarch and the Istarin Empire, then there would have been far fewer Dragons.
“How can you be sure?” Another member of their group, Steve Evans, asked. Evans has met the Dragons in the past.
Dragons are really prideful.
And hiding their identity was the last thing that a Dragon would do, especially in a battle.
“Dragons don’t hide their identity. Maybe, he is a half-Dragon and now he is trying to intimidate us.” Hearing this, everyone realised that Ivan (Aditya) did not have that unique aura of a dragon.
Even Nordour felt that this might be the case.
“In that case, don’t hold back anymore. This guy is really strong because of this strange teleportation ability. Stay on your guard and protect each other’s backs.”
