They were races of people that Athena and Aditya had never seen or heard of before. There were races that she had read in ancient books that had gone extinct hundreds of thousands of years ago. But this event was clearly taking place at least half 1 million years back.

Among the races that immediately stood out to her and his attention was the race of Majins. The very same race that handed him the Crown of Seven Seas.

‘So they are the ancestors of the Majins.’ Aditya was sure of it.

Athena saw many other flashes and blurred pictures of ancient history. She and Aditya heard many different voices in their minds. Everything that they heard and saw was so rapid that a normal human’s mind would collapse within just a second of experiencing this. There were images of the troops of the crimson emperor charging towards the enemy troops.

There were images of the troops of the mighty King of Kings annihilating the demons.

There were images of the troops of the mighty Dragon King of Heaven and Earth destroying the savage tribes.

But strangely enough, none of the pictures or flashes had any portrait of the Emperor himself. But it did not take them long to understand that they were watching this from the perspective of the Emperor himself, who was wearing the Crown of Seven Seas.

“I would like to upgrade my Crown. Turn it into an almighty, powerful artefact that the world has never seen before. Can you do it?” Aditya and Athena saw the Emperor meeting brown skinned half dwarf.

“Of course! As a blacksmith, it would be my honour to make something that is extremely powerful and turn this Crown into a mighty artefact that the world has never seen.”

“You know that I am currently in possession of two of the four pearls. I want the Crown to have the strength and durability to harness the full strength of the pearls.” Hearing this, both Aditya and Athena were shocked. But this also showed just how powerful and mighty this man was in his time.

“Your Majesty, I apologise for saying this, but that might be impossible. Each of the pearls holds too much power.”

“Surely, there must be a way.”

“I will need time to research and find a way.”

Then they saw the same dwarf hammering the Crown for days without taking a break.

A few days later, the shape of the crown had changed, and now it released the current version of the Crown that they held.

“Your Majesty, I have succeeded.”

“Crown will be able to harness the vast power of the two pearls by relying on five other special diamonds. Together there will be 7 stones on the Crown, which in my opinion makes the Crown look even more beautiful and magnificent; worthy of being called the Crown of the King of Kings.”

“It has been nearly a hundred years. But you succeeded. I am very happy today.”

“Now I just need to carefully place the Pearls onto the Crown, and this Peak 8th Artefact will be complete.”

But before that could happen, disaster struck. Chaos broke out all over the Empire.

While the Dwarf was working the Crown, one of his students, who was a human, stabbed him from behind. Around the same time, the Emperor, who was wounded in a battle, arrived to get the pearls from the dwarf.

“Your Majesty!” The human smiled at the Emperor. His voice and expression showed no fear of the Emperor.

“You stabbed Liam!” The Emperor was about to kill this human, but then the people chased him, and he arrived. Multiple swords and arrows hit him from behind and brought him to his knees.

“I am sorry to say this, but you are not the owner of the Pearls. These Pearls belong to my master and me. Without my master, I am the rightful owner.” The human was too Crown and the Pearls from the dead Dwarf, and mockingly stared at the Emperor.

“You might have wondered within just two days why everything suddenly changed.”

“Let me tell you a secret. All these people who turned on work for me.”

“I just needed to nudge them in the right direction, and greed took over. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be the Next King of Kings, the Grand Emperor of Emperors?” Hearing this, the Crimson Emperor finally understood everything. His friend had let a snake enter their house, and now they were paying the price for their mistake of not being careful.

The Emperor gritted and then moved his body for one last push.

“I don’t know who you are, but I definitely know about your master. I won’t allow you to destroy the world as your master did.” Before the human could react, his hands were severed, and the Emperor fled with the Crown and the stones.

At this point, there was no saving anything from his Empire. Everything was in ruins. The enemies had taken over. The Emperor found some of his remaining loyal men. He gave the two pearls to two forces and asked them to forever hide the Pearls in a place that no one will be able to find them.

Eventually, the Emperor handed the Crown to his loyal men, Majins, and asked them to vanish with it.

Before they could see anything further, Athena collapsed onto her knees.

Athena experienced severe dizziness. She was bleeding from her nose and eyes because the Crown was too ancient, and this whole process had put too much strain on her brain and soul. Not to mention, linking Aditya and showing him everything also put extra strain on her brain.

The cost of reading something that is so ancient was simply astronomical. Even with the mana that she drained from him during the whole process, it still wasn’t enough. She was out of steam, as was Aditya. Worse of all, her vision had blackened, and she felt like she could faint at any second now.

“Athena, are you alright?” Even Aditya was panting. After such a while that he depleted his Mana. He barely had a few hundred Mana points left in his tank.

Athena wasn’t responding. Seeing this, he quickly took out multiple high-grade potions and fed them to her. Only a few seconds after that, her eyes remained somewhat focused, and she looked at him.

“Rest!” The emperor gently wrapped his big palm around her waist and pulled her to lean against his chest.

She closed her eyes and focused on recovering. Being held like this can be really comforting. In his arms, she almost fell asleep.

“How are you feeling now? Do you want to continue or take a much longer break?” With the bone sphere, they can come to this pocket dimension whenever they want. But right now her health was more important.

“Let me rest for another 10 minutes.” The older an object was, the more mental strain it put on her brain. Not to mention the enormous Mana that she needed. Even with the combined reserve from Aditya, she was able to maintain the skill active for almost 5 seconds.
