Emperor's Domination - Chapter 6741: Take Me In

Chapter 6741: Take Me In
It was a calm and pleasant morning. A gentle breeze drifted through a quiet valley where a small wooden cabin nestled among the trees.
With a soft creak, the cabin door opened, revealing an ordinary young man. Who else could it be but Li Qiye?
“Life like this, so comfortable. But, I doubt it’ll last much longer.” He gazed into the distance and murmured.
With a sigh, he picked up his fishing rod to relax by the water. Just as he was about to leave, someone appeared at his doorstep.
“Young Noble, I’ve come to be your maid.” A girl bowed politely.
The stunning beauty dressed modestly and presented herself with a quiet elegance rather than flaunting her looks.
If she were to let her appearance and charm shine through, she would undoubtedly be peerless.
Unfortunately, all of that was deliberately hidden. She wore a simple light green outfit, the kind commonly worn by servant girls.
Her hair was styled into two high pigtails, giving her the look of a lively and sharp girl around sixteen or so, certainly reliable enough.
Of course, such a disguise wouldn’t fool Li Qiye. With just a glance at the girl, he shook his head and said: “I’m just a fisherman. I can’t afford to keep a maid.”
“To serve at your side, Young Noble, is the greatest honor.” The girl bowed.
“Who pointed you in my direction?” Li Qiye smiled faintly.
“A store guided me here, young master.” The young girl, still kneeling, replied respectfully.
It was as if she wouldn’t get up unless he accepted her as a servant.
“And why would one send you to me?” Li Qiye furrowed his brow slightly.
“We have a bit of a connection.” She answered honestly.
“Just head back from whence you came. I’ve got things to deal with right now, and I’m not in the mood to take on a maid.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“If I stay by your side, I might be of some use?” It seemed she had made up her mind and wasn’t planning to leave.
“You, with all that potential and talent, really want to be a maid for someone like me? You’re that eager?” Li Qiye chuckled and said leisurely.
“Young Noble, I would be honored to do it.” The girl said.
“Well, it’s what you want, not my issue. Go.” Li Qiye smiled.
“Young Noble, I can be useful when you need to find something in Beastmaster World since I know quite a bit about it.” She said.
“If that’s all, you’re not useful to me.” Li Qiye shook his head.
“Young Noble, I didn’t bring anything from home outside of this, perhaps you might need it.” She presented something with both hands.
Li Qiye accepted and took a closer look. It was a bottle made from something resembling shiny crystal. It was cold and could be viewed as a prison for whatever was inside.
Within was a drop of immortal blood, emitting the feel of the shore. It had something like a golden string wiggling back and forth. It wanted to escape the bottle but couldn’t.
“This thing…” Li Qiye’s eyes flashed for a second.
“A gift from my home, Young Noble.” She said.
“How is it of use to me?” He asked.
“Tracing?” She pondered before answering.
“If it’s possible to trace with this little blood, I wouldn’t need to wait until today for it.” He said.
“We overestimated it.” She paused for a bit before speaking.
“But fine, if you want to stay, you may. Just don’t be too hopeful about whatever goal you have.” He said.
“I have none, Young Noble.” She happily said.
“What is your name?” He asked.
“Young Noble, my name is Xiaoyue.” She said respectfully.
“Alright, Xiaoyue, we’re going fishing.” He smiled.
She immediately carried the fishing pole for him without being asked.
After reaching the river, she prepared a chair and boiled a pot of tea. He sat down and held the pole, revealing that he had no hook or bait connected to the string.
He flicked the rod and the line arced gracefully into the water. It extended continuously, seemingly capable of reaching the river source.
“What are you fishing, Young Noble?” She asked while boiling the tea.
“What kind of fish do you think are in this river?” He placed the pole next to him and didn’t watch it.
“Young Noble, this is the main river of Rainbow Kingdom, spanning across its territories. There are countless types of fish here.” She glanced at the water.
“True.” He smiled.
“I’m sure you can catch any that you desire, Young Noble.” She said.
“Is that why I’m here? No, I’m fishing for fate.” He said.
“Ah, I apologize for my lack of insight.” She understood and bowed.
“No, you see more than most. Do you know what is here?” He smiled.
“Hmm, I can’t be sure.” She tilted her head in ponderance: “Rainbow Kingdom is the only one in this world that does not specialize in beast mastery. Rumor has it that it was started by a rainbow dragon from the outside. It left a legacy here, one older than beast mastery.”
“Impressive knowledge.” He praised.
“I know very little. I believe the dragon failed the dao later and shattered into this river.” She continued.
“So you’re saying there is a dragon beneath?” He smiled.
“Young Noble, there is only one true dragon and none exists in the outside world. From what I know, the rainbow dragon was once a carp.” She said.
“I see.” He sipped his tea.
“But, there was a real divine beast here once.” She gazed into the horizon.
“Oh, that’s rather rare outside of Divine Firmament.” He said.
“Yes, it escaped from Divine Firmament.” She said.
“Why would any beast leave that nice place? There’s no better location.” He asked.
“Yes, but some are still tempted to leave.” She said: “This particular one was convinced to join Immortal Hunt Alliance before being pursued by Empress Hong Tian. It has been hiding here to recuperate.”
