Emperor's Domination - Chapter 6746: Crawling Fish

Chapter 6746: Crawling Fish
“Nothing, someone is shrouding it.” She shook her head.
“Further increasing your suspicion.” He said.
“Yes, I thought it was due to the murder at first.” She said.
“You believed Hidden Immortal murdered Skykiller and hid everything.” He said: “Yes, the divine beasts are strong, but anyone capable of murdering Skykiller can obliterate Divine Firmament.”
“…” She listened attentively.
“Dusk and Heavenfall had qualms. Mang devoured other worlds but didn’t wish to poke the beehive either. However, Skykiller’s murderer certainly didn’t care after going so far.” He said.
“I understand, Young Noble.” She took a deep breath.
“Got one.” He glanced at the river.
His fishing line stretched long and far across the river’s surface back to its source. But how could the line alone hope to catch a fish? Alas, it did snatch something.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. When she looked closely, she saw a fish grasping the string and coming closer. If the line were a massive tree, this fish would be ascending.
“You’re fishing the dao heart.” She sighed.
“This fish is worthy of my time and effort.” He smiled.
This was a long journey for the fish. Once it appeared above the water, a light radiated. It turned out to be a carp with a faint golden color. On its forehead, the scales gleamed with a different hue, each so vibrant and transparent. The green scales resembled emeralds while others looked like silver.
Because of these scales, it seemed as if a small rainbow had emerged.
“Splash!” Li Qiye waved and water enveloped the carp, slowly carrying it into his palm.
Upon contact, the carp felt an immense sense of intimacy as if he were a long-lost relative. It wiggled inside the water bubble and rubbed against his palm.
“Not bad, brat.” He became sentimental: “So many years but still found the way home. The dao heart isn’t clouded by the bestial nature.”
“Death in both body and dao.” Xiaoyue saw the clues on the multi-colored scales: “An obsession remains. It had a true dragon bloodline, gone now. Do you want her to transform into a dragon again?”
She could tell Li Qiye had a soft spot for the carp.
“Doesn’t matter too much as long as the dao heart is there.” He smiled.
“Become a dragon and join Divine Firmament?” She suggested.
He smiled and didn’t answer, gently stroking the carp’s head instead. It reacted like a pet, nuzzling its head closer to his finger.
The scales shone brighter, whether it be from the carp’s joy or Li Qiye’s interference.
“Buzz.” A halo formed behind the carp’s head, and many more came after like rainbows.
At this time, a middle-aged man in the distant Rainbow Kingdom opened his eyes. He was imposing and radiant with gigantic multi-colored wings.
His aura erupted and surprised everyone.
“The ancestor is coming out?” The kingdom’s members became startled.
Phoenix Emperor, despite this title, was an ancestor. When he became an emperor, he was the most brilliant in the history of Beastmaster.
He was best at three distinctive things: talent, emperor, and no beast mastery.
The talent concept was easy to understand. His cultivation speed was incredible, earning him this spot.
As for the second, he killed an ancestor while just being an emperor. This was an unprecedented miracle.
Lastly, he did all of this without being a beastmaster.
Ever since Qing He’s era, all of Beastmaster World has focused on this dao except Rainbow Kingdom. Some members did but not all; their number only waned with time.
Today, he was startled and gazed into the rainbow left behind by Rainbow Dragon – the reason why the kingdom didn’t choose beastmastery.
In the end, Rainbow Dragon failed a dao test and passed away into the river. Now, he felt the hidden rainbow of his kingdom resonating with something.
Other members had no idea and wondered why he had left his isolated cultivation.
His gaze pierced countless miles and saw something. With just one step, he hovered above the river and saw Li Qiye’s group.
“This is…” He was shocked to see Li Qiye playing with the carp.
However, the group didn’t seem to notice his arrival.
He gazed carefully at Li Qiye and saw his mortal body – one made of flesh and blood. Xiao Yue didn’t look peculiar either in her servant dress.
He focused on the carp instead, recalling the prophecy. He took a deep breath, concealing his aura.
As an ancient ancestor, his divinity could topple the heavens and subdue all living beings. Now, he cautiously hid it to show respect.
“I am Phoenix Emperor of Rainbow Kingdom. Greetings, Fellow Daoists.” He landed before them and bowed.
